Blackened Salmon with quinoa and succotash
Leslie H.

We were pleasantly surprised at the nice atmosphere. The Service was great and very professional! The piano player created the perfect ambiance and it wasn't too loud so we could still talk. The menu was full of all kinds of options. We appreciated the wine options and the Chianti was excellent! Our party got steak frites, redfish, and blackened salmon . The only thing I would change was a different side than what comes with the blackened salmon. It was a quinoa succotash mix , but really didn't have enough quinoa and it was served cold with red pepper and zucchini. It was tasty just not what I expected.

Fresh tasting oysters

I made a 6ish reservation on a Friday on a whim and honestly, this is the move if you don't feel like dealing with downtown traffic. Parking was easy, and City Hall is right across the street if needed. The space is really cute, corner location, bright and airy inside. Not super upscale, but it doesn't need to be. Prices felt fair. Service was on point. Our waitress, Anna, was friendly and attentive without hovering. Food wise, we started with oysters and shrimp in garlic sauce. Both were solid, but that shrimp...phenomenal. Try that! We also had gimlets, and just know they are strong, which we appreciated. The steak was cooked perfectly, nice and tender, but had a slight sweetness that wasn't really my thing. Still good, just not my favorite flavor profile. Only downside was we were hoping for live piano jazz and the musician didn't show. That was a bit of a letdown. Grabbed a red velvet cheesecake to go and it was rich, decadent, and worth it. Overall, really good experience and I'd come back.

This establishment is quietly becoming our favorite! Menu offers deliciously prepared choices and service is always excellent. Nice to have a fine dining destination in this area North of Nashville. Easy parking, Lovely Vibe for couples, groups or old friends gathering like we did. This place is a TEN in our book.

Large charcuterie
Lauren O.

Service from the time I walked in to the time I left was amazing. I just wanted something small so I got the large charcuterie and six oysters. The charcuterie was amazing but I have had better oysters. Were they terrible? No. I felt they were fresh but were only served with cocktail sauce and a lemon and personally is not my favorite way to eat oysters. The ambiance was very nice, it was a touch loud for my liking but overall I enjoyed my time tonight.

Crispy wild mushrooms!!

Cute little Bistro (parking in the rear!) not too big but has a nice looking bar. We started with the crispy wild mushrooms that were excellent!! A side of black garlic aioli complimented then so well! We both had Bistro burgers with fries.....lots of fat crisp fries with large burgers cooked perfectly! We were too full, but the pastries looked amazing- another visit!!

Crab cakes! Some of the best I've had since Florida!

This is such a cute, quaint, little restaurant. The food is amazing, and it's the perfect date night spot. They do have a kids menu if you have your kids and mine have thought it was delish. Highly recommend trying. The crab cakes were some of the best I have had since Florida! Hope you go and enjoy!!

Great hidden gem in Goodlettsville by City Hall. If you want farm to table restaurant without having to go Downtown Nashville, this is for you. Reminds me of Margo or Anwser for those who dine in Nashville. Thanks for a great experience

This place was a perfect date night spot! Loved the grand piano playing in the background during dinner. Food was excellent. It's nice not to drive to Nashville for a good spot like this!

New Spot Alert: Casper's Bistro - Goodlettsville, TN Lots of green flags!!! Must Try!! Checked out Casper's on their opening night, and I'm already excited to go back! It's a cute bistro-style restaurant with a cozy yet stylish vibe. Ambiance: * Open floor plan seating with lots of space and natural light * A piano at the front and live music for great vibes * Outdoor patio for nice weather days * Bar area with tables if you want a more casual hangout * Dim lighting in the dining area makes it feel perfect for either a casual outing or a dressed-up dinner Parking: Plenty of parking behind and alongside the building. Drinks & Food: *Tried the First Citizen cocktail (you can choose your spirit -- vodka, gin, bourbon, or tequila). I went with tequila, and it was so refreshing, with fresh mint that made it perfect. *We shared the seasoned grilled lamb skewers and lemon zest Parmesan fries. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. Service: Friendly, welcoming staff. Our bartender was super knowledgeable and offered great recommendations for drinks. Casper's also offers pastries and coffee drinks during the day and has a happy hour starting at 4 PM, plus a full dinner menu. Definitely a spot I'll be back to for dinner soon. Highly recommend checking them out if you're in the Goodlettsville area!

The food was great. I had the bone in glazed pork chop and baked potato and green beans. I kid you not the food and atmosphere and service is great. Thing is someone paid for my dinner. Thank you to whoever it was. June 2nd 2026 7 in the evening.

Filet with mashed potatoes and zucchini.

Overall good time! This is an elevated experience ($37 filet about 6oz) so keep that in mind. They have a happy hour, that would be my suggestion for the first time, sit at the bar and you'll have a great time for a couple drinks and an appy. Ambience is terrific, service was mostly good however there was no hostess the day we went (Friday @5pm) which made it weird coming. They have three doors to enter and I watched everyone walk in and stand there like "do I seat myself?" Parking is very slim but there are signs saying park at city hall. Clientele while we were there had an "old money" feel, you know the type, looking down the nose, lol. But the restaurant can't help that.

Tucked away on the side of a small office building on Conference drive across from the complex that houses The Chef's Market, Bloom & Brew is a casual, vibey and local spot serving up all the classics alongside a solid selection of pastries and baked goods. While there are a few tables outside the front door, the interior space offers a variety of seating from industrial style tables and wooden booths to a cozy old school couch and plush leather tables to a full booth tucked in a nook with a stained-glass window overhead. While I was there for the coffee, I decided to stay for the vibes and enjoy my iced latte in one of those cush leather chairs! Speaking of lattes, I am a sucker for seasonal drinks, especially those in the fall, so naturally I gravitated towards the season menu and went with an Iced Monkey Bread Latte and it was absolutely delightful! Well balanced, a tad salty, but also sweet...so good! Service was stellar from entry to exit. Chatted while ordering and then a bit while he was whipping up the goods. Super chill fella with some great coffee skills! Overall, absolutely thrilled to have found Bloom & Brew. I can already tell this spot is going to become one of my go-to's anytime I am near or in Goodlettsville!

I've been wanting to write this review because Chef's Market deserves so much more than five stars…read more My family and I have been coming here for years. We've celebrated family dinners, hosted business meetings, and made countless memories around your tables. Even after moving out of state more than 10 years ago, every single time I come back to Tennessee, my dad and bonus mom know that one stop is non-negotiable--we're going to Chef's Market. The food is incredible, and the cakes are worth the trip all by themselves. A few weeks ago, though, Chef's Market became so much more than a favorite restaurant. I got a call that my bonus mom had become very sick, and I rushed home to help care for my family. One day I stopped in to grab lunch and, of course, one of your amazing cakes to take back to the house. I was holding it together...until I wasn't. When the sweet lady behind the bakery counter asked which cake I wanted, all of the fear, exhaustion, uncertainty, and heartbreak I'd been carrying came pouring out. I couldn't stop crying. Without hesitation, she set the cake down, walked around the counter, and wrapped me in the biggest, most genuine hug. Not the kind of hug you give because you feel obligated--but the kind that says, "You're not alone." Then she prayed with me. A complete stranger saw my pain, held me tight, and promised she would continue praying for my family. As I sit in the hospital weeks later, I still think about that moment. I remember her kindness, her compassion, her gentle spirit, and the love she showed someone she had never met before. That hug meant more than she'll probably ever know. Chef's Market isn't just a restaurant with incredible food and the best cakes around. It's a place that feels like home. It's where my family has made years of memories, and now it's also the place where I was reminded that kindness still exists in this world. Thank you for feeding people in more ways than one. Thank you for caring. Thank you for reminding me that a simple act of compassion can carry someone through one of the hardest days of their life. You truly never know what someone is walking through. Your kindness made a difference in mine, and I'll never forget it. Unfortunately I have forgotten her name but I know she has beautiful black hair that smelled amazing!

When it's cafeteria-style and you have to quickly decide to keep the line moving, you need to know the price. Great presentation and portions, very friendly staff.

Typical Latin bakery shop where it's pretty easygoing and you grab what you want they bag it up for you. I didn't actually go into the store to reduce risk of exposure, so I'm not exactly what all the varieties were. But we ended up getting coconut flavored items, pineapple tops, and other moist and various texture and flavor breads. I mean, carbs are delicious and pair it with your favorite beverage- magic! I would love to support again one day, but I am concerned that my mother who was the one who went in notes that none of the personnel were wearing masks or gloves. The same for the customers. My mother did don both asks and gloves and practiced social distancing. However, it's concerning to hear that the business wasn't wearing any kind of PPE. I've noticed this in middle TN in general and am concerned. I would advice the team to take precautions and for that reason, I will have to give them a lower rating. However, after COVID-19, I would like to go in for the full experience and try it for myself.

I was in this area for work and was looking for some gluten free vegan sweets. It appeared that Healthy Body Bakery could satisfy that craving, as they cater to those with dietary restrictions. It's a small business, tucked behind the main street-facing businesses of a building. I was warmly greeted upon entry. They only had one gf vegan cake option on the day that I went (vanilla cake with vanilla icing), but they had several gf cupcakes and muffins available. I grabbed a cake slice (for half off!) and a cupcake. VANILLA CAKE SLICE Vegan and gluten free vanilla cake and vanilla icing. The cake was moist and the taste was ok to a seasoned vegan. What I mean by that is, for decades I've watched (and tasted) as the vegan food game evolved. Back in the 90s, vegan vanilla cake had this same beige/light brown color and flavor. So I actually knew what it would taste like before I even bought it, based on the color. However, it did not taste gluten free and that is a flex. The icing was slightly lighter than a buttercream icing, but definitely not a whipped cream icing. For people who don't like "too sweet", this icing would be perfect for you. It was sweet without the sugar rush. I would love to see them improve on their vegan vanilla cake though. If they can get it to that light and fluffy yellow vanilla color, they'd join the dozens of awesome vegan bakers across the country who've mastered this feat. MANDARIN ORANGE CUPCAKE A tasty orange flavored cupcake with the same aforementioned vanilla icing. It was moist; it did not have that typical grainy gf texture or dry gf taste. It was a very good cupcake. I believe they also have a peach gf vegan cake in their rotation. If I was in the area again, I'd definitely return to try that peach flavor.
