Ghosted for the past 6 months for the remaining $16k of a $30k refund. $30k paid to 408 garage on February 10th 2024 I had my '69 Camaro with them. Originally, he said he was willing to throw a tarp on it and just store it until the other two cars got finished. He originally estimated about 2 months before they could get to it. Then later, it turned into 5 months of storage before it would even be worked on. I agreed to the 5 months. On Nov. 23, 2024, I asked if my car had been painted and was told it was at the paint shop. On Dec. 27, I asked how much the paint job cost and if it was there now. He said $10k and that it was being blocked and sanded right now. Then, May 15, almost 6 months later, I'm told he doesn't have room for the car and asked if I could take it somewhere else or pay for more storage. After having to ask, I was told they hadn't actually painted it yet. So I went from being told it was at the paint shop and getting blocked/sanded, to months later being told it needed to be moved because there was no room. That was pretty much when I started getting serious red flags. I've dealt with a lot of bad mechanics before, and I didn't want to get stuck in another 5-year money pit with a project that goes nowhere. Isaac knew about my experience with other cars and assured me everything was different with his shop, but I was starting to have my doubts. On June 2, 2025, I told Isaac I was pulling the plug on the project. He responded on June 6, saying he had a family emergency and would be gone until the 25th. I hit him up on June 26, and he responded a day later saying he was still out of state, had bad cell reception, and would text me when he got back. On July 7, I reached out again and told him the situation seemed off and asked if there was going to be an issue getting the funds. No response. On July 9, he made a group chat with Sandi, the other 50% owner. They told me they put $7,500 toward the paint and that it couldn't be refunded. They also said they couldn't use it toward future work with other cars because they'll never use that paint shop again. I offered to bring in another car that I needed painted so I didn't completely lose out on the $7,500. They asked for pictures of what I wanted painted, so I sent them. Then it pretty much went nowhere. Later on, I messaged Isaac directly asking for the name of the paint shop, and he ignored it. Finally, on July 22, I got some of the funds back, and then payments slowly trickled in after that. On Nov. 18, they said they would send a payment that Friday. They never did. I reached out directly to Isaac again 3.5 months later and was ignored. No response since Nov. 18, 2025. Isaac was a cool dude, so I really do hate leaving this. But between the changing stories, the run around while trying to even talk about getting a refund,being told the car was getting sanded when it apparently wasn't, being asked to move the car months later because there was no room, weird situation with paint guy,the refund dragging out, and then getting ghosted.. there's a lot more I can add here.
I wanted to supercharge my c5z and got recommended by several people to check out 408garage's work and what they could do and was happy with what I saw so I decided to hit up Isaac and the communication was awesome. He answered all my questions and in the end recommended me the procharger kit. They installed a procharger kit, fuel system, catch can, clutch and flywheel, custom gauge panel, LT headers and X pipe, electric cutouts and much more. They can do it all at a high level and will treat you like VIP throughout your build process and afterwards for all your needs. The whole crew is knowledgeable and helpful. Don't hesitate to bring your car in
I had 408 Garage install a ProCharger Kit on my 6th Gen Camaro SS1LE. From my initial call to the shop, they were very friendly and I was shown various projects around the shop and introduced to everybody by Isaac which I appreciated. Throughout the installation process, Isaac was just a text message away, always responsive, and a great resource to bounce ideas off of. I am very happy with the service I received from 408 Garage. TL;DR: Dangerous / Jimmy rigged work done on car(that almost caused me to crash). YouTube videos of work uploaded. Labor being offered 2 years later to make up for having to pay for his shops work to be redone only after seeing a review. I brought my Grand National to Isaac at 408 Garage to fix a leak. He ended up not being able to figure out what the leak was. The turbo was leaking(he fixed that), but the engine was still leaking as well. While I had the car there, I also had him do a full Ridetech suspension setup and Wilwood brakes front and back. After a while, we still couldn't figure out the leak, but I kept being told the car was good. In the meantime, I would occasionally pick up the car and drive it around the general area, usually just a short distance to the gym and back home. I never felt completely right driving the car, so I kept the driving to a minimum. Eventually, I drove the car to the East Bay to a shop that specializes in Grand Nationals. On the way there, I was driving on 680, which is known for sudden stop-and-go traffic. I had to brake pretty hard and the car pulled to the right so bad that it pulled nearly halfway into the next lane. I mentioned this to the mechanic as soon as I got there. Over the next few hours and days, I was able to watch the mechanic go through the car and point out problem after problem with the work that had been done. A lot of the work was dangerously Jerry rigged. The centering sleeves that came with the suspension kit and are supposed to go into the upper control arms were left out. This was part of what caused the car to pull to the right under hard braking. There were also lug nuts that had been drilled out to work around the setup, wrong-size bolts used on the control arms and other areas, missing fittings, and the parking brake had been snapped because there wasn't enough slack left in it. There were other things wrong that I haven't even listed here, but the mechanic went over all of it. I ended up having to pay out of pocket to have the entire suspension taken off and redone correctly, along with having some of the brake work corrected. So I basically had to pay twice for work I had already paid 408 Garage to do. While all of this was going on, Isaac heard that a shop in the East Bay was vaguely mentioning a shop in San Jose that is known for working on high-end vehicles. Isaac was upset about it and asked me about it. He was actually relieved when I told him I had removed the 408 Garage stickers he had put on the windows before taking the car to the other shop. When I told him about the dangerous work that was found on my car, his response was that the employee who did the work had been let go a while ago and that he would've loved to have had the employee that's good with suspensions take a look at it. Credits to him on that but with the work that was done I wouldn't have felt comfortable letting them do that since this was the work they did in the first place. Issac should not be in business, zero stars if the app would allow. He doesn't know how to install the correct rated tires on vehicle, or give refund back. He is the only mechanic I know who doesn't know how to take apart a TPMS sensor. Stay far away. He is a con artist. read more

Needed some suspension components installed on my car, since I ordered the parts from an online retailer that doesn't have an option for installation. A friend told me about a new shop in the Campbell area, called 408 Garage. I was a little skeptical at first. But Isaac the owner told me about his mechanics and their modding prowess, plus he knew I was coming from a distance and promised to make it worth my while. So I took the chance and couldn't have been happier with my decision. The whole job only took 2hrs, when the books called for 3.5hrs. In addition, Issac showed me around some shop vehicles and even took me on a quick ride in his insane widebody M5!! That was a treat! I've since referred friends to their shop and plan to return again in the future when the modding bug bites me again! read more
