Great experience with 404 Movers. Mitchie was easy to work with, responsive and helpful from the moment I made contact with him. If I emailed him a question in advance of the move, he responded quickly, even in off hours. When it came to the move, he was able to accommodate a schedule change because of a closing delay. The contract was signed in the cloud and simple to use. When it came to moving day, he and his team came ready to work. They were prepared with tape, padding and shrink wrap and were extremely careful with our belongings. We did have a small piece fall off the truck as the doors were opened and the damage was minor. Within an hour of Mitchie leaving my new place, I had an email from his wood repair guy asking when he can set up a repair. A move is stressful and you can't ever predict what will happen, but I didn't expect to hear from Mitchie and the repair person at 11:30pm the day of my move. The move was complex, as we were downsizing from a 2900sf house to a 1200sf apartment and sending some stuff to a storage unit and leaving some furniture behind for the new homeowner. They loaded the apartment stuff first, then the storage unit so they could off load that first. It was a long day from start to finish and that was my only concern...it could have taken a little less time. That said, Mitchie and his team did an awesome job, were respectful and courteous the entire time they were in my presence and took great care in making the move as low stress as possible. I did my due diligence prior to hiring a 2 man crew at $75/hr for a move within the city on a 1 bedroom apt from 404 Movers. The cost was fairly priced (especially when in comparison to that of their so called competition) and the company was very thorough in contacting me, assessing the move, accounting for my personal belongings. etc. Having experienced a previous horror story cross country move, where several days would go by without a return phone call from the moving company or driver in regards to the whereabouts of my things let me say, having a company as thorough as 404 Movers go the extra mile (no pun) all before ever lifting a single item was a huge sigh of relief. On the day of the move I was contacted, again, this time by one of the movers directly named Derrick to inform me that they were in route. They 2 man crew arrived on time! They were both courteous, well spoken and most importantly very PROFESSIONAL. They got in and out. I had several large and heavy objects that they wasted little to no time in moving. Other companies who charge by the hour will try and milk the time, take bathroom breaks, continuously finding odd ball things to do that slow down production all the while your bill is growing by the minute. I began by comparing several companies prices and reviews. Having worked in Customer Service before it was pretty easy to see what the reality of each job was and wasn't. I contacted Mitchie about my move and we agreed on $69 per hour for two men plus truck. Since I was moving to Adairsville we agreed the truck charge should be raised to $89 which I thought was fair. I told him my budget only covered about four hours and that we would just load as long as we could, getting the big things I couldn't get by myself, and then take off for Adairsville. The morning of the move, Deric called me an hour before moving time, telling me he was running on time and would be there at nine. At about three til he pulled up and they began right away moving the heaviest things that as I said I could not move on my own. Deric and Jeff continued working at a really nice pace until not only the heavy items but all I had boxed and put aside for the move had been loaded which totally took us by surprise! When at Adairsville, again Deric and Jeff jumped right into it and unloaded it all in good time. I will admit it took half an hour over what I had wanted but instead of just moving "what we could and needed to move on a big truck", they got it ALL! I was not at all unhappy, instead I thought we had been given service far above and beyond anything we asked for. We would use them again and recommend them to anyone! I moved to Atlanta about a week back - this was a interstate move with 2 Relo-Cubes (U-Pack). I started looking for help for unload boxes and furniture from the cubes, 404Movers came up as one of the top choices with the all 'Aces' in their reviews and so I decided to go with them, based on the kind advise from my fellow 'Yelpers'. I was not disappointed at all. Mitchie Mutyambizi, was very professional to work with right from the get go. He was able to accommodate me on a short notice. There was an unforeseen change on schedule. Micthie was in constant contact with me via phone and SMS to update me on the situation and when should I expect his team over. I had asked for 2 men help, but since my schedule was delayed, Mitchie was nice enough to offer an extra helper to make the unloading go quicker. His team was very nice and courteous - going on to say how his company is - professional and courteous in their approach. Finally - and this is the best part that talks about Michie's professionalism. Since the job was delayed by few hours - Mitchie was very nice to offer me a compensation in form of a refund - even though - it was not his fault and the delay was something that was completely out of his control, he understood the slight inconvenience I had to go through. 404 Movers is a highly professional service with very friendly movers! I am super impressed, and will absolutely use them again the next time I move. My husband and I just moved from Sandy Springs, GA to another location about 40 miles away, and we found them on Yelp with a very high rating. We booked through Mitch, who was extremely quick to respond to us, and helped us throughout the whole process. We picked our move out date, signed our contract and paid a deposit for the move all online. On the move out date, we were very happily surprised that the movers were actually early! We worked with Chris and Dominique, two very friendly young men who immediately assessed the size of our boxes and furniture and got to work. After about 30 minutes, another two movers came in to assist with the move and expedite the process. Also very friendly and professional. Once we got to our new house, everyone jumped out and moved our furniture and boxes as quickly as possible. We had absolutely nothing broken or even jostled. Overall, the move was less expensive than we had anticipated, and the men were just as nice and professional as they could possibly be. I found 404 movers through Thumbtack. My move was 1 bedroom apartment - 3rd floor to a 2-story townhome. A move always presents obstacles, and they handled what came-up with a 100% professional nature. 1. The first was due to me having to change my schedule - they absolutely were flexible and accommodating. From first contact, Mitchie was responsive, and Jeff continued with that same behavior. It was very re-assuring. 2. The second was due to a broken-down truck - again, the communication was clear and responsive. Don was the one who handled the communication - he was in touch every step of the way to let me know what happened, how it was being handled, what their timing was, and reassured me that they would be there to do the job. I felt completely comfortable. 3. Don, Nick, Sean was my team - they were fantastic! They showed respect for each other as well as for me and my things. I appreciated how they worked together - even after a long day and dealing with the truck break-down they kept a great attitude and worked very well together. I have used Mitchie and his crew twice now in the past month. Once was for my big move and then just today for a few random things that I needed brought over. His guys are always courteous and polite. They work efficiently and quickly. They wrapped all my furniture and moved me out of a 3rd story apartment and into my new house very quickly. I did not have them pack my stuff, but they got all my furniture to my new house in perfect condition, both the items and the walls. Mitchie is really great about getting back to you when you try to reach him and he will follow up with a reminder the day before. His men have been on time both times I have used them. He will recommend the proper number of guys to send if you tell him what you are moving and they are really reasonably priced. I know I said it before, but they are very efficient and quick! You can really tell they're not just trying to drag out the time, which has happened to me with a couple of other companies. I couldn't find anyone to help me to move and fortunately 404 Movers was there for me on very short notice. Howard called me an hour before my appointment time to confirm the time and address - and to also let me know they were well on their way. Not only were they punctual they were also very professional. They arrived at the address for my storage unit before I was there and the 3-man crew immediately introduced themselves once I was there. After quickly surveying my belongings and the storage building they got to work and seemed to get done very fast. When we got to the destination I was moving to they were even faster because as Howard explained 'the second part of moving is always the easier part'. I really appreciate that they took the time to ensure that all furniture and boxes were placed in the correct room and everything was to my satisfaction. All this was completed faster than was initially quoted for my move for a 4-bedroom home. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY This company is terrible avoid doing business with them. My wife hired them to move her business out of our basement and into her new brick and mortar store. It was a simple move, not a lot of items and the store is located 2.5 miles from our house. Somehow they managed to damage the one piece of furniture that was irreplaceable ( a imported antique cabinet) When the damage was spotted the movers pretended not to know what happened and then my wife's employee went and checked their truck and sure enough the broken pieces of the cabinet were on the floor of the truck! They made out a report and told her that the owner Mike would be in touch. That was a month and half ago. We have called several times left multiple messages and we have never heard back from him. Not once! Not only that. She was charged a $100 deposit that was never refunded back to her. It's disappointing since we were trying to support a black owned company and it's shameful that our experience was this bad. 404 movers major fail!!! read more

Avoid this company at all costs. Destroyed my laundry room floor, damaged multiple items and walls, and drove their truck over my mailbox. They do everything they can to stall and delay to avoid paying a claim. They say their claims department is so overloaded it can take 90 days after submitting their "claim form" to have someone repair damage. They won't even schedule a time to come look at damage. Good luck if you are moving out of a house. Over 1 month now and still playing the stall game. They refuse to provide their vehicle insurance information for me to file the vehicle accident claim so now I am filing a hit and run report with the police and will need to go to court to get compensation. At least the driver will have a warrant for his arrest. Sad that the driver who seemed nice is the one who suffers because of his low quality employer. Even if you are just moving junk furniture, these guys will damage your property. Not worth using at any price. read more

This was my first time utilizing professional movers. I will not use friends again. This experience is so much better! I had an excellent experience from beginning to end with Mitchie and the staff of 404Movers. Mitchie contacted me quickly, got me an estimate quickly and patiently answered my questions. He communicated with me throughout. I had previously contacted a moving company because they offered discounts to me as an employee at my job. They proclaimed to "roll out the red carpet for you." Where do I start.... First it was so easy to book my move and pay the deposit online. I had already called and Jeff helped me out and answered all of my questions and instructed me on how to book my move. Next, Michael called me a few days before to confirm details and ask a few questions about my move to make sure they were prepared. Day of move: I got a call to let me know when the movers were in route to my pickup point. I had 2 pickup points (my friend's place to pickup some items and then my storage unit with the rest of my stuff). Issac and Gabriel were very professional and competent! I must honestly say they exceeded my expectations. Most moving companies charge $100+ an hr, however because I was moving after Christmas that cost was out of my price range. I came across 404movers using google search for reasonable priced movers. I was kind of hesitant because you usually get what you pay for. I must admit they were great! They arrive on time with 2 movers (the owner Mitchie was one of the movers) very professional, punctual & they handle my furniture with care. I was moving 45mins away from my moving destination but I can honestly say they respected my time & my pockets!! Total moving time was about 4.5 hrs including travel time. First off I had someone call me from the company the day before my move to let me know that I really didn't need 3 guys to move my apartment that 2 guys would be enough. That was very courteous because the price went down from $119/hr to $89/hr. I really appreciated that! The movers were great. They arrived early, were quick, efficient, and were careful with our stuff. My only complaint is with the management. After we scheduled our move, they became incredibly pushy. They kept calling us trying to get us to reschedule our time, they kept trying to convince us to hire extra movers (3 guys instead of just the 2 we hired). At one point the manager (or whoever) asked if they could come see our current house and see how much stuff needed to be moved. I assume this was an excuse for him to then tell us we have too much stuff and need a third mover. I was quoted for a specific price for three men and two hours and they went above and beyond in their delivery. Isaac and the crew were efficient, attentive and very helpful. I was very concerned about my entertainment set because its made of glass. They didn't have any hesitation, wrapped it super snug and got it moved in perfect condition. We used 404 Movers to move our entire house. Mitch visited my residence and provided me a quote - 4 movers for 10-12 hours. When my moving day arrived, the team arrived 30 minutes early, which was fantastic. The guys were fantastic and worked nonstop throughout the day. They did everything you would expect from a top tier moving company at a very competitive price. The move took exactly 10 hours, as estimated in advance.
