I'll do the good part of my review first. This company is extremely organized and the people are extremely nice. I was impressed by both the people I spoke with on the phone as well as the plumber that came to my house. Everything was organized, they let me know when they were on the way, super easy to work with. Now the bad. I had the plumber come to give me an estimate (another good thing, the estimate is free!). I needed the manual flush valve in my toilet replaced because it leaked out the handle every time I flushed. The two other quotes I got were less than $200, the other two plumbers said it was a pretty simple fix. This plumber came in, told me the entire thing had to be replaced instead of just the handle and he went in to other details about what needed to be fixed. I had done a bunch of research so that I understood everything before he got there and what he was telling me just didn't sound right. So, as a test, I said, ok, I also need the sink faucet replaced. I've replaced a few sink faucets in my life and know that it's pretty simple, especially with the faucets they make now. I was interested to see how much this was going to cost me. He left and I got a quote 10 minutes later (another great thing about them, everything is done from his iPad so it's super quick). Cost of replacing the flush valve - $499. Cost of replacing the faucet (NOT including the faucet) - $275. I then went to Home Depot, spent $15.99 and fixed my toilet in 10 minutes (with the help of a video on YouTube). While there, I bought a faucet. All work was done in less than 2 hours and I saved almost $800. So....beware of the prices you're being given with these guys, this estimate was MUCH higher than the others I received. read more

Called this company on Monday, the technician came in on Wednesday. We received a phone call 2 hours in advance, an email notification with the name and picture of the person, and a 20-min notice prior to arrival. All on time, in a courteous manner, with all the appropriate personal precautions taken. It was a small and quick fix. We asked for a bill. But were not charged a penny. And this is plumber. Usually, it is a $65 upfront charge and no estimate for the requested services. We were very pleased. Our systems is the house are coming due for a replacement. My water heater was up in age (18 years) and one day I noticed it was leaking so I knew it was time to replace it. I came across 4 Service Pros and couldn't help but notice all of the nice things people had to say about them (I had to see for myself). So, I called to schedule an estimate. First of all I was surprised they were willing to come over for free (my favorite price). As the saying goes, you get what you pay for but that wasn't the case here. Henrri Benitez came over to give me an estimate and he couldn't have been any more professional. He explained everything to myself and my wife and spoke in terms we understood. He also made sure to answer any additional questions we had. We wanted to go with them immediately but we knew we had to check out the competition to make sure we were making the most informed decision. So we called up a big name competitor (one you see on commercials every day) and they were pretty similar with their pricing but they had what we though was a better warranty. However, we still liked the customer service with 4 Service Pros. So I called to speak with Greg Schick and he explained to me how the warranty worked and he even reduced the price some to make sure he beat out the competition. They were able to schedule us the next day to replace our water heater. Troy Doughty and another gentleman (can't remember his name, sorry) came over to do the install. They came over just after 5PM on a Friday and didn't leave until after 8PM. After speaking with them, turns out they went out of their way to fit us into the schedule. Very fast response but very pricey and they rushed out without doing a full check. I had one leaky water supply valve to toilet and since all my valves (multiturn on cpvc pipe) were 22 years old they all needed to be replaced in the short run. Instead of charging by hour and parts they charged per valve and when changing 10 total got really pricey. As I didn't want to have to take another day off as I just had surgery a month ago and was short on leave I reluctantly agreed to change it all out. Was done in two hours but when the plumber left one of my toilets would not stop filling the tank. As he tightened the supply line he turned the water fill pump in the toilet so it was stuck and could not pop up. Luckily I am handy so I fixed it myself. Otherwise I would have had to call him back to fix it. $189 is the minimum they charge for any visit and $120 each additional hour per technician and it is double from 5pm -8am and weekends) as quoted on my invoice. I sent an email to the president and no response. Quality parts were used (Dahl quarter turn valves) so I hope to not have to change it again in the foreseeable future. read more

There are a lot of contractors in the DC area-- some good, some not so good. Ending up with a bad one is as stressful as ending up with the wrong traveling companion. I had a full kitchen renovation done in my 1-bedroom condo, and it involved some tricky coordination between the construction, plumbing, electrical and gas routing. Having everyone working together from 4Service Pros was really helpful in that respect. I thought the work that was done was high quality, and I really appreciated their willingness to work with me to solve any problems or make adjustments. Found 4 Service Pro on Yelp. They came same day even though it wasn't an emergency. Willis Darnell was the tech. Willis was a pro and did a few tests to figure out where the blockage was (called them for a clogged kitchen sink). Willis ran a snake pretty deep into the wall and was able to remove the grease that had built up over the years. We ran a very basic snake we picked up from Home Depot prior to calling, but it wasn't long or strong enough to unclog the pipe. The snake job cost $300 and he was done in an hour or so. I would recommend 4 Service Pros for any plumbing job. read more

Had a relatively straight forward fix that turned into an ordeal. The main shutoff valve in my condo didn't shut the water off completely. The resulting flow was much worse than the original leak. Had to capture the water in my recycling bin. Fortunately, no water got on the floor because the leaky pipe was in the ceiling above my kitchen. Henri did a good job, when we finally got the water shut off. Was a little disappointed he hadn't thought of the outside meter and shutoff - which the Loudoun Water tech told me about. As the tech was far away, we had to find the meter ourselves, while waiting for him. The shutoff was buried, so it took some time to find. Henri did have the essential tools to access the meter and shut off the water. Once that was done, the job went very quickly. What should have been a two hour job stretched into five hours. Henri was friendly and professional. I am disappointed in the cost as well. It was more expensive than the other quotes I received. I didn't get the quote until Henri arrived, so I really had no choice but to go with it because it was already 6 PM. Henri finally left at 11 PM. I will likely go with a different plumber in the future. read more

This review is for heat pump and air handler installation. I called on a Wednesday morning after our air handler stopped working on a cold night. John and Charles came by midday and spent a considerable amount of time checking out the system and gave me my realistic options for how to address the problem. I went with their advice of replacing my entire system since it was 17 years old and not worth fixing. Michael and Juan came out three days later on a Saturday to remove the old and install the new system despite the cold icy weather. They worked a good 12 hours to make sure everything was set up and running properly. They were very polite and spent a good deal of time explaining everything I needed to know. Overall I was very happy and impressed with my experience with 4 Service Pros and all the technicians we worked with. Their customer service department was helpful and responsive too. Just to start - i have two words that mean a lot to me - particularly when it comes to plumbers these days -- FREE ESTIMATE. Too many plumbers suck you in with a $100 come and see charge that they waive if you use their service. They give no information whatsoever on the phone about their pricing. 4 Service Pros told me what their general charges were - but warned me that there are often extenuating circumstances - and that the technician would come out, give me an estimate, and let me decide. This means a lot to me. Also, I don't write reviews usually - either positive or negative - unless something really stands out. So, take that into consideration here. I have had a recurring drain problem due to my 67 year old house and have had to clean out the drain myself for years. This time, the problem was too much. I scheduled a technician through Tatum - who was extremely helpful - and then got a window of when the tech would be there and emails with an introduction to the team who would be helping me -- with pictures! Tech came on time, gave me my estimate, and I said go. Like other plumbers I have used, was somewhat flummoxed by the problems I was having. What code was 67 years ago is beyond me! Rather than giving up, the owner, Greg, sent another crew over and they started working on the problem. Then Greg himself came out. I had 3-4 people at my house for 3 hours and they got the thing unclogged! And, began the process of figuring out how to deal with this all long term. At the end, the work areas were completely clean and I began to wince when it was time to pay. I was told that the original estimate was good and I paid about 75% of what it seems others charge for this work and I have a much better idea of the long term solution. Really a great company. Hey, no plumbers are inexpensive, but it is very nice to have transparency in pricing without having to pay $300 to get three bids. It is also nice to have the problem fixed correctly. I discovered my hot water tank was leaking. 4 service pros had good reviews so I contacted them and got a quick response, I was initially told between 2pm and 4pm as a service window, but the tech called and said he was on the way at 1pm! The guys arrived and quickly saw that my tank was rusting and recommended that I replace it, they gave me a estimate and I agreed to the price and to my suprise they said they could do it right away.
