I had such a wonderful experience at Classy Nails & Non-Toxic Spa. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt warm, peaceful, and inviting. The room was absolutely beautiful... super clean, calming, and set up perfectly for relaxation. The facial and head spa experience was amazing from start to finish. The head spa was incredibly soothing and relieving, and the facial left my skin feeling refreshed, hydrated, and glowing. Everything was done with care and professionalism, and I never felt rushed. What really made the experience stand out was the great conversation I had with a beautiful lady who provided my service. She was kind, attentive, and made me feel completely comfortable the entire time, which made the experience even more enjoyable. She was a complete vibe and it felt like I knew her and became friends instantly, I cherish her so much!! I actually found Classy Nails & Non-Toxic Spa on Groupon for an amazing affordable deal, and I'm so glad I did because it truly felt like a hidden gem. The service, the space, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this spa to anyone looking for a relaxing facial and head spa experience. read more

I came for the Groupon headspa and it was a sad experience. The assistant who performed my hair massage/washing splashed water on my face and ears and it was not relaxing at all as they kept coming in and out of the room and the Bluetooth would disconnect and announce loudly... I won't return... I paid $58 as she matched my Groupon but there's a reason for that.. it's not relaxing AT ALL and I felt my hair being pulled..Pay the extra $20 and goto headspa in Columbia pike for a better experience.... This place was a joke.. like an expensive hair wash in the sink just with a tiny arm massage read more

I followed Victoria from her previous salon because she is an absolute gem of a stylist! I love how she takes the time to get to know her clients and how they actually style their hair at home. She's even tried to teach me her magic so I can make my hair look as good on my own as she does. She somehow manages to make my straight, fine hair have movement and body and is a miracle worker with the balayage. My hair always looks natural, and I always walk away feeling somehow more me after she cuts and styles it. I love that there's a bakery (and coffee!) just next door, and parking is a breeze. I will definitely be back! read more

Love, love, love my stylist Lisa. I'm African American, but she does hair of many cultures. I'm in and out-she doesn't have clients just waiting by. But most importantly she keeps my hair FLY! read more

My hair stylist left town last month, much to my dismay. I've had bad experiences with cuts in the past. My hair is fine and anything less than perfection in a cut is quickly visible. My last stylist was a perfectionist ten times over. After finding yelp reviews, I booked with Ann. Ann is very pleasant and clearly loves her work. She gave me an excellent graduated bob -exactly what I asked for. She listened, confirmed she understood exactly what I wanted, and then confirmed I understood pricing. This is a small but upscale salon in the Clarendon area, easily metro accessible. Highly recommend you give it a try. read more

I saw Victoria for a color correction, balayage, and hair cut yesterday. She managed to take my brittle, faded out hair and make me feel like a supermodel in just one afternoon! I showed her a handful of reference photos and she knew exactly what I was going for. My hair looks even better than what I pictured!! Victoria pulled off some next level magic to do this transformation in just a few hours, I swear. Plus, she was very attentive the entire time, regularly asking if I needed water or anything and letting me know when were good breaks to stretch my legs. See the photos for proof of her mastery of color! This was my first time at 4:14 Salon and I will keep coming back to book with Victoria read more

This review is for a color correction done by Master stylist Mayra. She was a complete life saver when I was panicking about my botched hair color. Right when I yelp messaged the salon on a Tuesday at 9pm, Mayra received the note and called me immediately. She comforted me and assured me that she could fix it so we booked an appointment for later that week. And WOW!!! The work she did was incredible to fix my hair (before and after pictures included in review). She used toner, low light coloring and a conditioner mask to fix my mess. Results were magical and I'm feeling so confident with my hair right now - truly thanks to Mayra. She has 24+ years in the hair styling industry and has experience working with Asian hair. So glad I found her! The salon is beautiful as well and I was able to enjoy warm tea & cookies during my hair-induced panic attack. **they take credit card for the treatment cost but cash/personal checks for tips! read more

I absolutely LOVE going to get my hair done with Ann at this salon!! I have been coming to her for years and she never fails to put a smile on my face when I leave. She completely understands my hair and gives me the style that I request. I fly from Dallas every 3-4 months to see Ann. That is how much I love her as my stylist!! She will definitely answer your needs and will not fail you if you visit her at this salon. The staff is friendly and the salon is large and welcoming. It is conveniently located near shops and restaurants and you won't have any issues finding parking in front. read more

For an average salon and a simple cut on long hair, I was charge $95, and that was with the first time customer discount. I will not be returning. I felt my stylist Ann was good, but spoke VERY highly of herself, which left me disappointed. I wish at the beginning of the cut she was open about pricing. In general I hate when stylists say "I'm just going to put a little product and curls in your hair" then hike up the price. This was not necessary and I feel I was way over charged for curls that fell out shortly after I stepped outside. read more

Extremely rude and unaccommodating. I will not be returning. The front desk person has an attitude and does not treat customers with respect or kindness. read more

Honestly, it's the worst haircut I've ever gotten. I asked for long layers and they came out super chunky and uneven. There was a half inch difference in the length of my hair on either side. I would've been better off continuing to cut my own hair. read more

I've visited 4:14 twice in the last week for visits with Ann. She cut and balayage my hair and gave practical recommendations for how to keep it looking great and low maintenance as a busy mom of two! No pressure to buy product or attempt to up-sell. I was beyond satisfied with both cut and color. I also brought my 3 year old daughter to see Ann when she needed a trim and unfortunately attempted to do it herself! Ann accommodated our last minute request on a Saturday and gave my daughter and thorough cut and style with patience and kindness. She also polished her nails (and her little sister's) after the cut. Her work is beautiful and she is honest and kind. We'll definitely be back! read more

TLDR; Ann did an amazing cut and color correction for me. She made style suggestions that got me to a haircut that suits my style and hair so much better than what I had before, and she made product recommendations that have really helped me style and take care of my hair. My hair was down to my elbows and very damaged. I had also dyed my hair months before with what was supposed to be a temporary black dye, but it had failed to wash out and there was a clear line of my natural brown. My hair is also very straight and fine, and I have a million fly-aways--even when I go for sleek, within a couple hours I looked frazzled instead. Ann suggested a balayage close to my natural brown fading out from a semi-permanent black so I could either let it gracefully return to my natural color or touch up the roots and continue with the dark. We took off almost 10 inches and brought my hair above my shoulders. She also showed me products that would help me add waves and some easy curling techniques so when it does frizz (because it will) it seems like part of the beachy style. I got compliments on my hair just this past week and it's been a little over 2 months, so I thought it was time to leave a review. Ann did an excellent job, and I not only felt great walking out of the salon, but I can recreate the styles at home easily, and she really thought about how the color and cut would grow out. read more

I had a cut and color correction done to turn my coppery ombré into an ashy brown. Mayra is an expert at her job, I couldn't be more impressed with her expertise! I showed her two photos about what I wanted and she asked about differences between the two that I didn't even noticed. Prior to coming, I had spent a lot on a "balayage" at a different salon that was poorly done, so in attempting to fix it I was so relieved to find a stylist I can trust. Be aware though, prices are high and you may want to ask ahead of time. My cost was much higher than the prices online because I had a lot more volume of hair. But what you pay for is what you get. As a bonus, the hair washing stations have massage chairs! Also relevant, the building recently underwent renovations and the phone lines aren't always working. Would recommend coming in person to make an appointment if the phones aren't being picked up. I called a few times then decided to just walk in to schedule mine. read more

Just had the most delightful experience with Ann at 4:14 Salon! I'm a military mom who doesn't have my hair professionally done very often, but I'm so thankful I did. I'd heard so much about Ann so I decided to make the drive to get to her. The shop is inviting, so clean, and has a coffee/tea bar where you can help yourself to a cup as you enter. I needed color correction and she knew just what to do! She decided Bayalage would give me the best gray coverage and add dimension to my fine, thin hair. Even though this is more than I would normally spend on myself, Ann was definitely worth it. She was a joy to be with and I'm so pleased with the results! read more

Had a 3PM appointment with Ann. Arrived about 30 minutes early - policy on their website requests new clients to arrive 15 minutes early to complete "intake" paperwork. Upon arrival, salon was totally dark. Ok, so I'm early . Waited, called salon number, no answer, no voicemail. Someone calls back from a different number and says she's on her way. It's 3PM now, still no one. This is ridiculous, so I leave. Now blocks away, someone calls and said she's there. Right. Told her to forget it, totally unprofessional. My time is valuable too, and took time off to get this nonsense. In addition, they are impossible to reach. read more

Literally in tears for hours. My hair is a mess! GONE and it will take forever to grow it back. I can't believe I showed a photo & gave such specific detail but still she took liberty to do what she wanted and it is awful and not at all what I asked for. I am truly devastated!!!!! Cried myself to sleep and woke up at 3:30am to shower and see how I could fix what little hair I have left before work. Now I'm in tears again because it is really that bad!!!! I am ashamed of myself for not demanding she stop and I walk out. STAND UP FOR YOURSELF IF YOUR NOT HAPPY...GET OUT OF THE CHAIR...THIS IS THE WORST HAIRCUT I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!! I don't often make time to pamper myself, but decided to yesterday @414salonspa . Getting my hair done has always made me anxious. I never know what to tell the stylist. Yesterday was the first time a stylist gave me suggestions and I am beyond pleased with the job that was done. Ms. Ann is phenomenal and I definitely recommend her if you're looking for a new color or cut. She spent time asking me questions about my daily hair routines prior and then shared her ideas. After she showed me tips for upkeep. I will definitely be returning to her. Thank you so much #414salonspa for my new hair confidence and for making this mamma of 3 look years younger! read more

Hidden gem of Arlington! Ann is extreme talented and knowledgeable. Making an appt was super easy. After having a few banged up balayage treatments at other salons, I was nervous to get it done. Ann took her time and explained to me the different techniques and assured me my hair would look great. She was very meticulous and detail oriented when doing the hand painting (tip-balayage should take longer because it is strategic placement of color vs just highlighting in a line). Very happy with this service and cannot recommend enough! Note: the signage outside the salon says "Edge Salon" so be careful not to walk past it. read more

Ann at 4:14 Salon was awesome. She really listened to what I wanted and I walked away for the first time in a very long time, satisfied with my haircut and highlights. It is hard to find someone who you can put your trust in when it comes to having something done to your hair. I had to wait over a year to get my highlights again because the last person who did it really over processed my hair. I DID NOT have that problem this time! In fact my hair had the beautiful subtle highlights I like and felt so incredibly soft! It was well worth the hour drive into the city! I will definitely go back again. I have found my new stylist and anyone who knows me knows this is a big deal since I have a difficult time trusting people with my hair! Ann not only did an excellent job with my hair, but also delivered a warm and caring atmosphere. We hit it off immediately and had a stimulating conversation. She is very sweet and I enjoyed her company immensely! I left the salon feeling happy and very pampered! read more

I made an appointment with Victoria for a cut and some highlights/gloss to lighten up my hair. She really took the time to understand what I wanted for my hair, and to consider my hair history. I wanted the highlights to be fairly subtle, and to help blend out some existing color I had towards the bottom of my hair - Victoria worked with me to come up with the perfect game plan! Ann is very experience and know her craft very well. I initially asked for a color (which would have taken a long time to process and would have been costly) which Ann advised against. She took the time to educate me on the process and how to maintain, making the color last longer / keeping the hair healthy. Before the color treatment, she spent time understanding what I really want. After sending her 20 Pinterest references (which I now realized all contain difference shade of color), and talking through the end result I wanted, we finally came to a conclusion on the actual color. I have never work with a stylist who took the time to understand my needs and really work with me to "interpret" my perception of what I truly want. Ann also gave me a dry cut, which was just amazing! I have never had a dry cut before. It's really different from the typical wet cut. She can see the damage hairs and how the hair naturally set (my hair texture is frizzy & not the greatest). She explained why it was important not to cross my legs while getting a haircut, it makes the cut crooked (first time a stylist ever told me!) She gave recommendation of the products that would be beneficial (which she doesn't carry) and let me know where I can find it. Overall a really great experience! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Ann and my experience at 4:14. I think I've only ever taken the time to write one yelp review in my life, but I wanted to give the salon the recognition it deserves. I came here looking for a color correction from a terrible "balayage" that left me with tiger stripes from another salon. Ann saw me immediately for a consultation and provided a wealth of education on products and hair care. When it came time to fix my hair, she stayed late at the salon last week during inclement weather and totally transformed my hair. It looks better and healthier than even before my bad experience. Additionally, she didnt charge for color correction (which is by the hour) and gave me the new member 20% discount. There is no pressure to purchase any products and no rush to leave the salon for the next guest. I feel like they truly value the customer and want you to leave happy and with healthy hair. The garage a few doors down has free parking if you drive and they only take cash tips. I didn't have cash and told Ann I would bring a tip another day and she was completely trusting and unfazed. I will continue to come back here and highly recommend! read more
