That is what they do: they're family-owned and have been doing this for a long time. I needed my 40-year-old upstairs and downstairs furnaces replaced and met with a total of 5 companies- one who said they were "family owned" was actually owned by a private equity firm, and another did plumbing and furnaces, and their estimate was 45% over everyone else, and they did not send me a detailed quote- just the total price. From the moment I made the first call, I was impressed: professional, organized. The estimator was great- no hard sell, explained everything in detail; their quote was very reasonable. They answered all my questions, showed up on time for the install, did the work efficiently, and everything works great. The permit and inspection went smoothly; they were there throughout the entire process. Super impressed and appreciative; Atlas was easy peasy to deal with. Don't look any further.

And, as a footnote, they send out a very nice little box of cookies at the end of the job. Go Atlas!!

What I appreciated most was that he didn't just start replacing parts. He thoroughly diagnosed the system, explained what he was testing, and walked me through the results. He showed me that the capacitor was testing low, the contactor was worn and pitted, and even performed a megger test on the compressor to verify it was still healthy. After the repairs, he confirmed everything was working properly by showing me the compressor amperage had dropped back to normal and that the system had an 18-degree temperature split. Keon was patient with all of my questions and never made me feel rushed. He explained the pros and cons of the recommended repairs, including the hard-start kit, so I could make an informed decision instead of feeling pressured. I really appreciated his transparency and professionalism. By the time he was done, our AC was cooling properly again, and he even worked with us on the final price.
