Some of the games made no sense or by the time you figure it out the times up. It does move quickly and there's lots of options. I don't recommend going on a Saturday afternoon, but considering how packed it was we only waited a maximum of 5 minutes per room.

There are about 40 rooms of which each has different challenges and involve solving puzzles or executing a task in 1-4 minutes. Depending on how you and your team do you will be rewarded with stars or puzzle pieces for prizes. Everyone is given a wrist band that has a little badge that you use to tap when you enter a room to track your results. Many of the rooms require the participants to work as a team to achieve a goal. Some of the challenges are mental, physical, or require a high degree of coordination. This place is great for adults and I would say kids 8 and up. Teens would love it. I would not recommend this for younger kids. I have heard that this place has very long lines on the weekends. Since we went on Tuesday evening there was no wait for about 50% of the rooms we wanted to enter. And even in those cases we only had to wait no more than 2 minutes for the team inside to exit. It's a cool and fun concept and I would highly recommend it!

The climbing was fun for everyone, from the kids to the adults who joined in. A big bonus was the coffee shop downstairs--it provided a comfortable space for refreshments (outside food and drink permitted) and gave parents a place to relax, chat, and mingle while the kids climbed. Highly recommend for birthday parties or group events!

Was excited to give this place a try since I've only been to Sportrock and Movement. The Facility: Nice and spacious building. Has a nice variety of walls for you to choose from (Cave, overhang and moon board). They also have a small little fitness area with dumbbells, barbells and some cardio equipment as well. The mats are are well cushioned too, to catch your falls and there are plenty of cubbies to store your gear and be put out the way. The Routes/Grades: Their routes are on the v-scale and were somewhat accurate to the grades from what I've seen. I saw a mix of grades that I did and didn't agree with, and I can see this being a little hard for some beginner climbers. But, my biggest problem with this gym is that the holds here are all old and dirty. For the most part, the whole gym was kind of dirty and didn't looked well kept. For some of the routes I was on, the holds didn't make it enjoyable as dirty holds left me slipping off my feet. They were quite dusty and full of rubber shavings and the whole gym didn't look well kept at all. The Staff: Staff here are very friendly! They were helpful with any questions I had and were respectful. Overall, a 3/5. Was quite disappointed with my experience here at Vertical. For the amount it cost for a day pass, I would look elsewhere like Movement or Sportrock.

Same area just separated by a lot. Major mom win: there are bathrooms It's right across from Wegmans, has shaded tables (yes please), a water fountain, and easy parking in the garage across the street (first 2 hours are free ) Bonus surprise: on top of the parking garage there's another small play area--with water! My kids were living their best life up there. Everything is super colorful, clean, and just overall a really good time. I also noticed someone walking around every few minutes wiping down tables and checking trash, which I appreciate so much as a parent. Oooh and theres a mini workout area . Only tiny side-eye moment : I did see the same towel used on tables and then on the trash can... and not tossed after. So I'm hoping it's not making a full tour of tables, trash, and bathrooms Other than that, we had a great time and will definitely be back!

The area that features a lot of climbing, has some larger footholds and is probably best for the 5+ set unless your kiddo is younger but taller. My relatively small newly 4-year-old was not independently able to navigate this area. My 7 year old had no problem. The little spinner is fun too. No swings here but lots of other areas to stay busy.
