It's in the Union Market area, and it's helpful that a parking garage is connected to the building. The race simulators are really fun, but a night out there can get pricy, especially with food. Staff set me up quickly and the steps were easy. 1. Create an account 2. Select a time for individual, head to head, or team racing. 3. Settle into your arcade seat and go! There are plenty of arcade seats that provide great views as you race and that move to simulate contact in the arcade game. At $27 for off-peak, I was able to do 3 different races which took nearly 30 minutes. At the end of each race, you get stats and earn points which can be used towards merchandise. You also have the chance to select the level at the beginning based on your experience and comfort level. The bar is glitzy with several large screen la turned to F1 or sports. It's worth a visit for the novelty of it and could be a great team a team activity.

This is THEE hub. Because of the egregious amount of people, expect to park far as hell from the complex. Even better, use your phone flashlight to illuminate your walkway because there only a few street lamps. Perhaps this is why, even in the crosswalk, you too can have an invigorating rush as your life flashes before your eyes in the stark headlights of a metro bus who never heard of a brake! Finally, enjoy the amenities in the aquatic center two informational desks down in a basement where lockers require $1.00 in coins. Quarters to be exact! Because why not! You've paid for a membership and/or a class, why not pay for the nostalgia of loose change! Who needs the year 2026?! Extroverts, this is the spot. Introverts, you will feel overwhelmed and wonder what fresh hell did you step in, probably try to power through until the pesky locker thwarts all defenses. You'll throw your hands up and peace tf out and say to yourself, yep I shall stick to the aquatic centers only. More manageable.

The fitness center is suitable for all levels. Equipment is well taken care of and has a great variety of equipment. There's two levels of workout space. The top floor has a walking track and many cardio machines. There's cubbies to store your things, if not, locker rooms are available as well. If you're shy like me, you'll enjoy this facility. Even on the weekends it wasn't too busy. Also there's plenty of space to workout with no one near you. The pool is nice! Great for children, it has a slide and waterfall. The hot tub is warm and clean. -Day pass is $5. Memberships are $20. -There's a cafe on the main floor. -Plenty of parking. -Staff is very friendly. -There's a gymnastics studio and a track where local students practice. I'm excited to try one of their fitness classes. I hope you enjoy.

I knew what group of people I had to send that message to for a good laugh: TEXANS. After reading a couple of snarky comments about how they would make the race longer in Texas on a perfect 90 degree and 90 percent humidity day, I was ready to get my sweat on. When I started training the day before I was looking forward to the challenge of a 10k, but I'll take a 5k. Despite the fact that the race is always organized during the hottest times of the year and they act suprised when the weather doesn't cooperate, the race is very well organized (a race that involves lawyers has to be), and benefits The American Heart Association. They have packet pick up the day of, the course starts at the beautiful harbor in Georgetown, lots of give aways, and lots of water stops. They even had ice sponges to prevent you from overheating, see that's proof that lawyers do have a heart and most of them aren't cold blooded! I recommend this race not only for the charity it benefits, but for the fact it is one of the last few races you can do before the running dead season in the summer.

Packet pick up was a breeze and my buddy and I found parking pretty easily the day of the race. My main gripe was with the layout of the corrals and where everything else was. It seemed like where ever you wanted to go, it was on the opposite side of the corrals/finish line. We picked up safety pins by the waterfront and had to push our way past the starting line into the corrals. We finished the race and wanted some coffee.... other side of the finish line. It would also be nice if at least a portion of this race was on M street since it is in Georgetown... not that the Whitehurst Freeway isn't scenic and all. Pros: Post race goodies General location Ice Sponges!! Course change communicated prior to leaving for race Not many kids/dogs/walkers Cons: Layout made getting around very hard Course not scenic considering location All in all, unless a 10K was a good fit with another training plan I have going on at the time, I think I will skip this one in the future.

For starters this place is so unkept, it's so incredibly dirty and the bathrooms are gross. I truly wonder if they ever clean this place? We visited 2 years ago and again this weekend, and I can tell they haven't updated a single thing. Including the nasty pom poms that have clearly seen better days and cost 2 cents a piece. This is the weirdest children's museum I have ever been to. Not even sure what the target age group is. They have like half of an exhibition appropriate for each different age group. The exhibitions are not cool, barely entertaining, half of them are broke or barely work, they are all dirty as can be. And the museum overall is tiny! I feel bad for the people that pay to visit this place. This was definitely the last time we visited, even with free tickets. Every single Smithsonian museum is 100000x better than this, and they are all free. So save your time and money and visit any of them, I'm sure your kids will be more entertained there and at least they won't catch a nasty virus from playing in this dirty place.

You can request assistance if needed. The actual race only lasts 10-15 min but it is so exciting. It is so fun to watch people express themselves in different costumes from Halloween, pop, political, eccentric, movie themes, etc! Plenty of people took a tumble towards the end of the race.
