While Clockworks provides a great play space and plays an important role in the Bryan/College Station collectible community, this pricing practice undermines the spirit of the hobby. This decision alienates people and contributes to the scalping culture that harms the community. I hope the store reconsiders its policies to better support collectors and players alike, as the community, in turn, supports them.

One thing I really respect is how they changed their Pokémon card policy to help combat scalpers. Real Pokémon fans usually don't mind if the factory seal is cut when buying product because the cards and packs inside are still untouched, and it helps keep product in the hands of actual collectors and players instead of resellers clearing shelves. If you do want fully sealed product, they still offer it at current market price, which is a fair balance for everyone.
