I went in with low expectations because of other location experiences and I have to say this one turned out to be the favorite. I came in because I saw a picture on their window advertising a snow crab deal for $34.99 and since I was alone I thought why not. The decor of the restaurant is pretty much all the same as the other locations but this location seemed like the smallest of the other two. It was very clean with low lighting and not much loud music playing like the other spots and they had someone to greet you upon your arrival. I started to sit alone at a table and I asked about Happy Hour, but Happy Hour was at the bar only. I decided to go sit at the bar. I was greeted by some very pleasant customers who happened to work in the same profession as myself. That also added to my experience of a good time. I ordered my snow crab deal with their special sauce and a watermelon margarita. I took a sip of it and thought it tasted like medicine and I was not happy with it. I sent it back and ordered a pineapple juice with tequila and that was refreshing and so much better. My crab boil was really good. The legs were a nice size, the seasonings made it taste were flavorful, yum! The only issue I would have and not really, because even though I got one corn, I got an extra small crab leg. I don't know if that was how it was suppose to be but I was satisfied with my meal. So with that being said, I do have one complaint and I hope they are reading this. Not everyone at happy hour gets drunk or tipsy. Especially with how, in my opinion the drinks are not all that and taste very water down. I had to tell the lady at the bar because maybe she thought I was tipsy or too drunk to even notice that I should have not been charged for that awful drink she made me. I sent it back, she said it was half full, myself and everyone else disagreed. I said fine if you felt that way then tell me "Miss, you can send this drink back but I still will have to charge you for it." That way I can decide what I want to do with it. Don't take an almost full, or how she said an half full drink from anyone and still charge them for it without them being aware. Given the choice I would have taken that drink and mixed it with something else. I'm not waisting any of my hard earned money on anything. I will find a way. I was not happy about that, but I was very nice about the situation because I didn't want her to think I had too much to drink and I was being a drunken customer, so I was very clear with her about that not being cool. Overall I'm still gonna say this was a better experience than the other locations and I would prefer to nominate this location when friends and colleagues make a suggestion to come to one of these establishments. I would have maybe given five stars but because of that situation and since Yelp doesn't offer 4.5 I"ll give them a 4 and a thumb up instead. Happy Yelping!

This is a takeout only place and service was prompt for me on a recent snowy Saturday afternoon. I ordered the $18 catfish and chips along with $22 eleven piece scallops. They were very generous with the fries accompanying the catfish. The fries were very good, not top flight, but very good. You can do far worse. The catfish was good, but there is competition in Harlem that puts this catfish in the rearview mirror. The batter is not as crisp and seasoned and the catfish fillet strips are a bit on the thin side. They give you about seven or eight strips, which is satisfying enough for $18, but you can do better in Harlem. The scallops were a bit more numerous that eleven pieces, probably around fourteen or fifteen pieces, but these need to be more numerous, given their teeny tiny size. You can spend $22 far more wisely here or anywhere in Harlem. They are tasty little fried scallops. If you have lemon and cocktail sauce with the radish at home, that would add to their impact considerably. However, nothing can make up for their diminutive size. Here, size matters. A Taste of Seafood offers good seafood and a clean environment with friendly service. I told them not to overcook the scallops and they did not overcook the scallops. So I give points for that discretion in the kitchen. 3.3 stars!

Whoever the business developers are, they took this overgrown grassy lot that's been vacant for the last 40 or so odd years and built a multi-business structure from scratch and Seafood M. dove in deep with it. I'll truthfully credit this find to my daughter- who, on her recent Holiday visit staying with Grandma, found this place on a whim. I jumped on it too days later. The first 2 dishes my kid got were the steamed AND seasoned Crab Legs+veggies and a steamed shrimp platter for my mom. According to her, my kid devoured the crab legs- which were perfectly steamed without making the shells soft. And my Mom's steamed Shrimp platter had a considerable amount of plump shrimp with a light seasoning that didn't overpower the seafood. On my recent trip though, I picked up the 3 piece Catfish-only meal and the 4 piece Whiting (the owner actually threw in like one or two pieces in there- thank you!). Both delicious. I may not be Southern, but I know a good dredge on fried fish when I see it and taste it. Renée(sp?) the owner- uses a fantastic and light that holds its own and doesn't crack into dust. The space may seem untidy- so don't come here for looks. Just come for the food. But, Renée has a great thing going and at 3 years strong, she's creating a sense of community and flare when Soundview never had a stand-alone fried fish/fish market spot. Wishing you much more success.

It has a nice aquatic vibe all throughout the restaurant with different rooms to dine in. I started with the seafood platter. For $60, you get a whole tray full of crab legs, lobster, shrimp, mussels, clams, corn, and potatoes. I'm not a big seafood boil person but this one was valid. I enjoyed it. It was random but they also have popcorn but it was good so I'm not complaining. Then I ordered the popular honey garlic wings with the trifecta: Mac & cheese, candied yams, and collard greens. The wings were crispy and fresh. Plus the honey garlic sauce was really good. I understand the hype. I seen the lobster fries all over my feed so I ordered them. They use thick cut fries and the lobster on top is creamy. For my second platter I got Catfish with steamed cabbage and potato salad. You can tell they freshly fry the fish. Plus the batter is seasoned well. The cabbage lowkey has a kick which I liked and the potato salad has a subtle sweetness. I'm not mad at it though. Lastly I ordered the lobster Mac. Coated with a whole layer of cheese. You get lobster bits all throughout. Service was good. Lighthouse is definitely a solid spot whether you're taking out or dining in with a lot of options to choose from.

First, when you walk in, the front of the restaurant is takeout, and the actual restaurant is further in the back. Our plan was to sit in the actual restaurant and eat. As we went to the area to be seated, there was a sign that stated "Cash Only". When we asked the hostess, if they took credit cards for takeout, with an attitude she stated, "Yes, but you can't order takeout, and then try to sit in the restaurant and eat." It wasn't what she said, but the attitude in which she said it. And the sit in part of the restaurant was COMPLETELY empty! Therefore, we decided to get takeout, and this is when the experience went from mediocre to HORRIBLE. After ordering our food, which totaled to $105 and change (we ordered the stuffed lobster tail with two sides, the deep fried catfish with two sides, fish and chips, and two blue lemonades). There is a sign that stated that all fried food will be cooked first, due to steamed food taking a little longer. Therefore, we expected a wait of approximately 20 minutes. However, we waited for over 40 minutes, and during that wait time, we saw the cook line being unprofessional, laughing and joking, talking over the food, the bartender came to order catfish and was served before the waiting customers, garbage was being brought from the back through the waiting area which is beyond unsanitary (the Department of Health definitely needs to pay this establishment a visit)! We saw that our food was ready, but instead of the cashier letting us know, we literally had to ask for it due to the entire front line piss poor customer service. Once we got home to sit down to eat, the food was mediocre. The stuff lobster, wasn't stuffed, it was just topped with a mushy crab cake. The fish was fried a little too hard. The mac and cheese was on the dry side, but the candied yams and the blue lemonade was good. This place should be totally revamped, or completely shut down! Management definitely should have the staff to go through customer service training, because employees are the face of your establishment. Also, with the cash only policy, I wonder if ALL of the employees are working there legally, or being paid under the table. Which would explain why management doesn't have a problem with the piss poor attitude of the staff. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!
