Most of the trees were of the Coral Champagne variety, and they were sweet and juicy. There are also Rainier, Brooks, Lapin, and Tulare trees. Employees were friendly and provided buckets and bags to store our harvest. The price was $4.50 a pound (May 2026), and only cash is accepted. There were lots of low branches which was great for kids. The orchard was shaded and had an area with picnic tables. We will definitely be back!

I go pick cherries at Chavez once a year for 7-8 years now. I wake up very early and try to get there right when they open so that I don't get stuck in traffic. It can get crowded. Also, this can help you get a parking spot for sure. They do have a big parking lot though so it's probably okay. Price this year: $4/lb. They accept credit card now too. I love cherries here. They are quite big, sweet and a little tangi. Yummy!! Just make sure to be patient and don't pick the ones that are not that dark yet. Keep going until you find a good tree. Then you can commit to picking them. I've seen people that pick too many of the light pink color ones and then ended up threw them away so they don't have to pay. So bad. We grabbed a couple buckets and we were off. There were so many cherries and we were more than happy to have our fill of samples. So sweet! At $4 a lb these were on the pricier side but worth it for how much fun we had. We ended up paying $88 for our pick. Come early in the AM to beat the heat!

It's a bit hard to see from the road this farm, but theres a person sitting outside at the edge under an umbrella waving a flag. We drove down a gravel path and there was a stand set up and a trailer nearby. Plenty of parking! Theres primarily peaches and nectarines. The owner said they have 19 varieties and the way he planted the trees was the varieties that would ripen at the beginning of the season are closer to the front. Varieties that ripen later are at the back. The orchard is large! The owner was super friendly. He offers bags and cardboard boxes for you to carry your fruits, and recommends cardboard boxes so as to not crush your fruits. The peaches and nectarines are so fragrant and sweet here--sun-ripen, fresh from the tree. They are unlike the stores' where they pick the fruits too early and are not very fragrant. I would highly recommend coming here to support a wonderful, high quality farm!

With our visit occurring during opening weekend, picking the cherries wasn't too bad. There was plenty of reachable fruit for ya girl who is a whopping 5'5. The darker, sweeter options located at the tip top of the trees were only accessible if you had a fruit picker. No ladders were available or seen. 5/5 stars for the memorable family fun. Unfortunately, it was too late to get reservations for the next day but a friend had mentioned there was another farm taking walk-ins so we decided to give them a try. Following the long line of traffic down Sellers Avenue we found our destination was sold out. Although the city seemed busy, I was determined to find a spot to pick some cherries. We drove toward Delta Road and happen to stumble upon Dwelley Farms. Thankfully, they weren't too busy yet and were taking walk-ins for $5 per adult and children free. The $5 fee would also go toward whatever cherries were picked for purchase. The person in the front explained their rate was a little higher than others since their farm was organic. The farm was clean, easy to navigate through and had covid protocols in place. We were directed toward the riper, fuller trees and found them to be quite sweet and plentiful. Seeing the excitement of my parents and husband and son bonding over cherry picking filled my heart. They were all having so much fun picking and trying cherries I only picked a handful while snapping photos and enjoying their happiness. I do not remember how long we stayed at the farm but lots of smiles and $43 in cherries later we left with 8lbs of cherries. And did we eat them all? YES, because they were that good. I'm happy we found Dwelley Farms and look forward to visiting them again next year.

Parking was easy and right at the entrance, you walk over to the booth to sign a waiver and collect your buckets. The buckets are lined with a plastic bag. Not to mention the buckets are pink, so cuteee! I brought my own buckets and bag. I also brought a wagon. It was nice to have a wagon to help carry all the cherries i picked. The staff here are very friendly. If youre like me and you brought your own bucket, they'll need to remove the cherries you picked to their bucket and weigh it on the scale. The scale is already calibrated for their bucket weight. The cherries were $4.50 per pound and i ended up picking 20lbs worth. This was about 2 full buckets. With the weather getting warmer, i suggest going in the morning. If you have questions, they have a number to call. They have a variety of cherries, ranier included. Ladders are randomly spread out in the farm for you to use. My friends and i had such a great time picking cherries and took some cute pictures as well. We'll definitely be back !
