She picked us up on Sunday at Newark Liberty Airport and drove us to Red Hook in Dutchess County. On Saturday we took the reverse trip. Communication (text, phone, and in-person conversations) was always easy and direct. She texted us with specific instructions for how to find her at the airport. She drove calmly, competently, and very safely. She checked in by text two days prior to our return trip, and to be safe, we arranged a pickup 4 hours before the time we wanted to be at the airport due to the heavy snowfall (8 inches) expected the next day. Both trips went smoothly and the cars used felt safe and reliable. We trusted Nancy and will trust her or any of her other drivers again for our future trips to New York. We highly recommend her and invite you to benefit from her service.

TLDR: This is not a professional service. Look elsewhere…read more We had such a bad experience, I don't even know where to begin this story. First, the website to book doesn't work on iPhones, and you should use your computer. We've had two crazy experiences with this company but this last one was a major doozy. Their process is, once the proposed reservation is booked, they accept it and send you confirmations, and even after that, almost everyday you'll get an email confirming your booking. You'd think this was reassuring? We have two people on an account so we both were getting emails and texts confirming the booking. Reassuring. You'd think. The day of our reservation arrives and it's to get to JFK. The time for the car to arrive comes and goes. Reminder: This after actual text conversations back and forth reconfirming the booking as well as all those emails. So we text in that morning and the person says, oh you cancelled 3 weeks ago. I mean, how?! How did we cancel 3 weeks ago when you have been sending daily confirmation reminders as well as having text reconfirmations to confirm the date and time and the booking was made well after June 6th. Again, we have had at least 10 emails and texts confirming conversations since that debacle of our first request for a car back on June 6. Texts and calls back and forth that they are wrong finally got us a driver to the house 2 hours late! Initial flight missed at this point. We had to change flight reservations and make alternate plans for arrival. It was stressful. Beyond stressful. We are still holding out in good faith for them tho. We need to get to get to JFK and really giving them so much benefit of the doubt at this point. 40 mins to arrival promised. An hour later... the driver calls, who is supposed to be a professional driver, and she is somewhere parked who knows where trying to find the house. She's had the address and has CarPlay (as she rolls up finally I see she has her phone, so assumed she's using CarPlay or Google Maps) but parked and waiting at a totally different address. Again, another sign. But we need to get to the airport and are feeling like, beggars can't be choosers, just get us there! However, we really were just questioning this whole experience at this point and how this company is still in business. The driver finally pulls up, and it's obvious she isn't a driver, she's got a sun hat on and not dressed like "car drivers" are typically dressed and put together. I open the trunk and there is a wheelchair back there... I don't even know what to say to this. Except that she is now unable to help with luggage, clearly. And even more so, it has been validated that this is not a professional car service driver and seems to be a friend who has been asked to do a favor for the company. As she's on her phone, I'm assuming, googling a route to JFK, I say to my wife, make sure she doesn't drive off with your luggage when you arrive. The drive to the airport was pretty traumatic too. The driver was not experienced and clearly nervous the whole way, jerking the wheel and braking every time someone passed her. At JFK she didn't know where to pull over and allow for a safe exit and she really did almost drive off with my wife's luggage had my wife not banged on the car for her to stop! She was taking off before my wife even had a chance to get to the trunk. It was insanity. Later that evening, 6:52pm, I kid you not, we both get texts saying, your driver is on the way, with a notice saying, their late policy goes into effect after 15 minutes of waiting. Is this a joke? Then an hour later we get a text saying the trip has ended and they hope we had a pleasant and comfortable ride. Oh, we had a ride...that was insane and we can't recommend this company based on our experience. They need an administrative overhaul. Communication in excess doesn't mean good communication. A website that works on phones. Our driver was NOT a professional driver. They rolled up in their own car and were not dressed professionally, as well as their car not being set up for taking a customer to a busy airport. Not to mention, the driver was unable to provide a basic driver service of placing luggage in the trunk.

Always on time, friendly, vehicle is immaculate, our driver John is so friendly and we are so pleased when he drives us to the airport because we always have a very pleasant conversation with him and feel totally safe while he is driving. Shauna who help when I call to book our car service is incredibly friendly and both her and John go above and beyond to make sure we are very happy and well taken care of throughout the whole process, from the point of booking our service to right up till we get back home safe and sound from our trips. Atlas is the only car service we will ever use. Thank you John & Shauna for always looking out for us and always making our car transportation back and forth to the airports such a pleasurable experience. A+++++ George & Joy Bombace & Family!!!

Pickup 7 weeks later was also a breeze. Atlas monitors your flight and while waiting in line for customs, John e-mailed me and stated to contact him when though with customs and luggage in hand. texted him and four (4 min) later he pulled up and off we went on way home. cannot say enough about this service from placing the order to arrival home . John is very courteous and knowledgeable in many subjects. He asked if temp in vehicle was OK several times to ensure our comfort. He also inquired about our trip and how we made out in Europe and seemed concerned that all went well on our trip. Atlas's vehicles are all new (2019) and very comfortable to ride in .......Coming back from Europe the airline ( LOT) switched planes on the flight home, and John even knew about this and which plane LOT switched to (Air Belgian) which I found impressive ! So if you are looking for fast ,comfortable and enjoyable transportation, call Atlas , you will not be disappointed !

It's their business, their reputation on the line. I was looking for a car service last minute, the night before my flight yesterday, to take me from La Guardia to a friend's home 1 1/2 hrs away in Montgomery. I called CAR24. Mike was super prompt in returning my text at 11:00pm, assured me he had availability and we'd touch base in the morning. True to his word, we booked the car in the morning and he gave me a very competitive rate. Didn't tack on last minute fees. Done, texted confirmation number. Gave me name of my driver, Allison, who touched base 5 min later with her cell number. Super prompt, funny and friendly, riding with Allison was a pleasure. A key thing to note: take your cues from the client. She didn't start chatting until I did. I'm from New Orleans and work in the hospitality industry there, handling conventions with 10,000-30,000 in attendance. I book about 250 private car service for clients a year. There are a few key things that are expected from a private car service that are unbendable: reliability, communication, cleanliness and polite manners in drivers, who understand it's not about them it's about the client. Likewise from a client: tip the driver and tip in cash. If you get good service, show it by tipping more than 20% of the fare. In our industry, there is nothing worse than a rude passenger and a bad tipper. Home run for CAR24. Allison even stopped at CVS so I could run in and grab something. Thank you!!! MaryBeth

Unfortunately I have not been able to wanderlust in years which I am profoundly trapped in my locality with extreme cabin fever, and COVID-19 pandemic hindered travelling further, but I found a way out of NYC through MTA Metro North as a drifter in wanderlust. This MTA Metro-North Beacon Station is indeed clean. It is situated on the MTR Metro-North Hudson Line via the Henry Hudson River with scenic views of salt marshes, luxurious yacht boats, but no jet ski, kayak or paddle boats. It was a nice ride without any boisterous ruckus or rude disruption by fellow passengers. My ride was actually a very phlegmatic disposition. I usually sit alone for COVID-19 compliance of six feet distancing and usually silently cry due to my profound grief. It is a direct ride without the need for a transfer. The Hudson Line train passes the Broadway Bridge in the Bronx, and the New Tappan Zee Bridge. Unfortunately by night fall the view of the Hudson River during the entire train ride emits absolute no visibility as it is complete utter darkness. A one-way off peak ticket from Grand Central Terminal to Beacon for one adult is a whooping $17.50 (2021 era price) which is blamed on 2021 national inflation rate accelerated to 5.4%. Whoa! The underground passage is dingy very prone to flooding with inadequate drains as the underground passage is filled with pondering water on the ground with minimal lighting to provide pedestrian visibly for safety and less appealing similar to the NYC subway stations. There is a paid parking lot which appears to contain large amount of spaces. This station is ADA accessible with a ramp and elevator. There is a nice welcome signage of "Welcome to Beacon, NY" with a hand drawn area map. The train arrivals/departures at scheduled intervals of half hour or one hour for peak and off peak times. There is a small indoor, standing only, enclosure on the platform for passengers to seek temporary shelter from the elements of rain, snow, or extreme artic cold.

But it lacks the charm of some of the stations on the Harlem Line. Heck, it isn't even as charming as Peekskill, just a few towns south. It wasn't that clean and the sign wasn't well maintained. Plus, it kind of smelled like urine. I do not think there was any correlation between that detail and the fact that my friends and I had just spent 8 hours drinking beer before waiting for the return train to NYC, but I could be wrong about that. In any case, it was unpleasant. But don't let that stop you from visiting Beacon, it is a lovely town, pee notwithstanding.
