Had a great time at The 35er. I ordered a cider and an Old Fashioned, and both drinks were really good. The Old Fashioned was smooth and well balanced, and the atmosphere made it a nice spot to relax and hang out. Service was friendly and the vibe was chill. Definitely a place I'd come back to for drinks again.

The tiki bar downstair has some great music, overall a nice sports bar to get some drinks and have fun, drinks were strong :) They also have a pool table as well as some kool decor.

Came by to bar hop..the service was good but the vibes were not it. Everyone just seemed down on their luck or sad, we sipped our drinks and left. Must've came on an off day.

If you're like me and looking for a good hard kombucha in Pasadena, 35er is your bar! This place has a great vibe. The service was fast and efficient. Friendly as well! Tony was amazing. I am very happy with my time here. A chill place! 10/10 recommend.

Super fun place. Crowd was very odd, but the drinks were good and I liked how there was more than one bar!

I'm sipping on a whiskey and soda water!

This is my first time at this bar. The main floor is mainly different types of beer and offer free popcorn. Upon entering our IDs were checked and we were told that the downstairs consisted of Speakeasy and a tiki bar. Well we decided to give the tiki bar a try and how bad of a decision this was. The menu is limited which is ok because it had most of what we were looking for but at close to $20 per drink you think that they know how to make the drinks. We tried 3 different drinks- a piña colada, Mai-Tai and the Zombie. Why they all had the same color AND lemon flavor . This was a disappointing experience. I would stay away from the tiki bar. Two starts because we explained the situation and the manager got involved, tried the drinks and she agreed and we got our money back. But I hope this serves as an opportunity to get better.

Went my first time yesterday. What a cool place! Had the main bar at street level. Downstairs is a great Tiki Bar! Can't wait to come back and enjoy it! But wait there's more! There is also a quaint speakeasy with craft drinks, high end whiskey and bourbon! But the best part was the great service by the pretty female bartender! I think her name was Emma. She poured a great drink but more importantly she was quick to serve, a little sassy, but that added to the ambience and made me feel at home and welcome! Like I've been going there a long time. She smiled as she served and was a part of the 35'er experience! Can't wait to go back and take some friends!

Jeremy was our bartender and he was fantastic. Super chill and friendly and made us some amazing drinks based on a few preferences. Boyles Tavern felt like a pub speakeasy, tucked away the way all good gems are. From entrance to table, we were pleasantly surprised. The door alone felt like entering what could become your new favorite fast burger fix, without tasting like fast food may I add. The two story tavern was bustling with what seemed to be different tables of friends, which made me wonder if this is what Cheers felt like, all while everyone watched Sunday football. We ordered at the bar, a Cowboy Smash Burger for me, Smash Sliders for the Mr, and sweet chili wings to start, with the right crisp on them. Service was clear, accommodating, and fast. I think we got our food within ten to fifteen minutes. We will definitely be back for the food and the family vibes T. Boyles offers.

It was a great place for some casual, mildly literary drinking on a Thursday night. The bar was in an alley, and I was happy to find free, easy street parking right outside the alley entrance. The alley was well lit enough that it didn't feel sketchy, though if I were inclined to beat someone up, this would probably be a convenient place to do it. The space was slightly below ground, down a flight of stairs from the alley. It felt like an Irish pub/sports bar with a tap list of California beers in addition to Coors Light and Guinness. Service was friendly and reasonably fast. I had a Made West Hazy IPA and a Pizza Port Amber, both of which I've had and enjoyed several times in several places over the years. I also ate some fries that were lying around, probably but not certainly by someone I at least sort of know. They weren't bad. I live kind of far from Pasadena and T. Boyle's isn't a destination bar, but I'd come back for another round or two after Vroman's. It's a comfortable spot with good draft beer, where you can relax and have some conversations.

When we walked in, there was a tall, bald male bartender and a blonde female bartender working--neither of whom I've seen here before. We ordered two drinks, but the service from the male bartender was inattentive from the start. At one point, my friend tried to get someone's attention to ask for a lime and wasn't acknowledged. She ended up grabbing a lime herself from the garnish tray--which I understand isn't ideal--but the response we got was completely out of line. The male bartender became immediately hostile and started aggressively cursing at my friend. When I calmly asked the female bartender if this was normal behavior, he inserted himself into the conversation and said, "she put her fucking hand in the fucking jar," in a very confrontational tone. I tried to de-escalate the situation and respectfully explained that there was no reason to speak to us that way, but he continued the hostility and ultimately told us to "get the fuck out." At that point, I paid for our drinks and we left. What made this especially disappointing is that this has never been our experience here before. We've always enjoyed this bar and have had positive interactions with the regular staff. If this had been my first visit, I would not come back. I understand that what my friend did wasn't appropriate, but it absolutely did not justify being yelled at and cursed out. I hope management addresses this, because this kind of behavior is not reflective of the bar I've come to know.

That said, when I'm in a Pub I tend to go for Guinness or some kind of 1/2 & 1/2, and this time I chose Smithwick's with a Guinness topper. My bartender, Sarah, proffered a perfect poor, with a smile and a laugh, and I was ready for a good time. The menu is packed with traditional pub favorites plus other general sandwiches and salads, etc. I decided on their Reuben, which is built with Corned Beef, Swiss, Sauerkraut, both Russian AND Mustard, and it's served with fresh cut Fries. The sandwich was hearty and generously made, with flavorful corned beef boasting all the best of the pickling spices without too much salt -- the cook knows how to balance flavors. The sauerkraut and melty Swiss provided a rich, acidic contrast to the beef, an effect echoed by the blending of Russian with Brown Mustard. Then there was the bread -- an artisan rye with good flavor, appealing texture and just the right amount of fresh seeds to let you know this bread came from an oven not a bag. Fries were hand cut, as advertised, arriving hot and crispy with just the right dusting of salt -- a perfect match for the Reuben. This being Monday night, it was quiet on Colorado Blvd., and the restaurant had only a few people at dinner time. While this was a laid-back visit, I'm well aware the place can get busy and boisterous when people descend on their back-alley entrance, and it's hard to know which scenario would be better: the high energy pulse or the calm conversation. Best to come in multiple times for a proper scientific analysis (as well as several cold pints and a few very good meals).
