I typically wouldn't go out of my way to post a Yelp review, but my experience with Kyle specifically from 321 was unacceptable and I already have and will continue to advise others to find movers elsewhere. When scheduling my long distance move I was told by Kyle that the drivers would call between 8a-8:15a to give me an eta, and they would also be at my apartment by 9a. I was already leery because a couple of my text messages to Kyle leading up to the day had gone unanswered, but I had already paid half of the money upfront so I went with it. When I hadn't heard anything from anyone by 8:30 on the morning of I text Kyle again, a few minutes went by and I called only to find that the phone was "not accepting calls at this time." Between my mom and I, we called the number no less than 10 times and got the same message each time. By this point I was convinced that I had gotten scammed out of $1600 and no one was going to show up at all, so at around 8:45a I logged onto Paypal and requested a refund. A few minutes later I finally received a generic text from Kyle saying the drivers would arrive shortly. Not long after that Kyle called from another number, and rather than apologize for the lack of communication or the fact that nothing had gone the way he led me to believe they would, the first thing he did was complain that I had asked PayPal for my money back and said dealing with them was now going to be a "headache" for him. He then was upset and clearly had an attitude with me for requesting a refund at all, even though almost an hour had gone by without me hearing anything from anyone AND the only contact number I had was not working. When I brought those things up to Kyle he said something about him having to drop his son off at school and his work phone being broken, neither of which are my problem and if there were going to be issues those should have also been communicated or sorted out behind the scenes. Kyle's entire tone and delivery was completely unprofessional and disrespectful, especially considering the fact that he/his company were the ones in the wrong. He then tried to turn things around on me by saying he's never had this situation happen with a customer (as if it was my doing?!) and now he was uncomfortable with the arrangement because he felt as though I did not trust his company. I wish I was making this up lol, because it's so ridiculous and laughable. My response was of course I don't trust your company, you have my money and I still have nothing and had I not gone through Payal, who knows if or when i would have heard from him. Towards the end of the call, Kyle rudely asked repeatedly, "so you want your refund or you wanna move?" Because I had already told my landlord I would be out that day I went ahead with everything, and was told I would hear from the driver soon. While I waited I really didn't feel comfortable giving my money to someone who was so unbelievably rude and dismissive, so luckily I was able to find another moving company that was gracious enough to squeeze me in for later that same day and for a few hundred dollars cheaper! Eventually I got a call from Josh, the driver, who was very pleasant but didn't really seem to be in the loop at all. He was asking me questions about the storage facility that my things were going to, like the hours and if there was an access code, all things that should have been discussed and ironed out long before over an hour AFTER they were supposed to meet me. Eventually Kyle called back to say that in order for them to get the truck and whatever else they would need, I would need to call PayPal and cancel the refund. Again, by this point I had already confirmed another company so I said I'd rather proceed with the refund, and he just hung up. The entire experience was awful and completely unnecessary. Moves are stressful enough, so do yourself a favor and go with a more reliable and professional company because I promise you 321 is NOT it! read more
