New Owners I have never seen a business run this poorly, and I highly recommend that you take your business someplace else. I came in today to get gas and a car wash. To get a discount on gas I bought a car wash from the pump. Unfortunately they do not tell you that they offer a much cheaper carwash if you pay in the carwash line. The pump had no receipt paper so I had to go inside regardless of paying for both at the pump. While inside I asked how long it would take to get the car washed, I was told no more than 10 minutes...not true, I waited in the carwash line for an hour because when you purchase a full service wash the inside gets vacuumed before going through the wash. Meaning, I had to wait for the inside of everyone else's car to be cleaned out first even though I was just getting. An exterior wash. I noticed that everyone that was getting a full-service wash got out of their car and waited inside. I asked, because I was getting an exterior wash only, if I could stay in the car. They said it's not recommended but yes. Then I find out that I have to get out of the car again after the wash to re-present the receipt and the slip that they give to you. What's the point? By this time I was so fed up that I went back to the front and asked for my money back. They said no, because I paid at the pump they could not refund me my money, nor could I come back at a later time for my wash. One extra thing I also noticed, they advise you that they are not responsible for anything that happens to your vehicle, including anything that may be stolen from the inside. This is why I wanted to sit inside my car during the wash.They also have a huge list of things that they weren't responsible for, broken windows, broken mirrors, broken windshield wipers, broken antennas, anything older than five years old. It's plastered all over the place. Please, don't put with it. Take your car someplace else, avoid losing time, money, and gas. Go someplace else. read more

I received TERRIBLE service here today!! I came in to see if I could get another tire put on my car. I was currently riding on a donut due to a flat and didn't want to keep driving on a donut since I had to travel far for work today. I decided to stop by Paul and Bill since a younger guy has helped me a few times before with repairing my tires. He was kind and polite. Too bad he wasn't there today! When I visited today an older, rude, unfriendly, and most likely racist white guy ( he has brown hair, thin, and looks like the guy in their profile pic) did not attempt to help me until I really had to go back and forth with him! He took one look at my tires and flat out told me I needed all new tires. I told him I knew that, however, I only needed to replace one for now. I had two extra used tires in my trunk. He eyeballed them and stated they don't fit. This was not the case though one of the tires fit because the measurements matched the tires for my car and I knew the correct tire measurements for my car. He still kept refusing to help me. He was very lazy and unhelpful. I am not sure where this person came from but he needs to be replaced. By the time he did state he would try to help I was already frustrated and no longer wanted his help. Customers who are willingly to pay should not have to beg for service! I didn't trust him and decided to go elsewhere for service. I have been here several times for air and tire repair and I have never been treated so poorly. Even if he didn't want to assist he could have acted in a polite manner! I didn't come off rude from the start of even when I was going back and forth with him. Too bad he couldn't have given me.the same courtesy!! I don't plan on coming back and will be spreading the word about this poor service. He was rude and was looking at me with a frowned up face from the start. A polite attitude goes a long way people. This man was rude, lazy, and unhelpful! Go elsewhere! Paul & Bill's is an Aurora landmark and tradition dating back to the 1960's. They offer great service and have the friendliest staff in the Fox Valley. I love their old-fashioned brushed car wash and they have experienced and honest mechanics on duty plus they are a family-owned business!! Highly recommended!! read more

My family has been going to this family business for 40 years for good reason. Recently a transmission shop told me the only way to fix my transmission problem would be to replace it. Luckily, I took my Jeep to Paul & Bills for a second opinion and they said the transmission was fine but the linkages were causing the almost impossible shifting(manual trans). A few hundred dollars later, instead of more than a thousand, my Jeep shifts great. When you find an honest mechanic shop, you stick with them. I live a few blocks from this place and I wish that their level of customer service and that their prices for gasoline/snacks/tobacco were were better. I have had my car washed there five times this summer and the first three times I had it washed it looked pretty good. The fourth and fifth time I had this car washed at Paul & Bill's, they left bird poop in a dozen places and the white wall tires were just as dirty as they were before the washing. I happened to be in a hurry both of the times that the car was left dirty and I did not take the time to question the manager about the poor cleaning. I needed my car washed this morning so I stopped by the station to talk to the manager about getting the car and its tires truly cleaned this time. I was told that I could not expect to get the car very clean unless I had it detailed. Excuse me? I thought this was a car wash. The car ahead of me in line was an Aurora Police cruiser that looked like it had be off-road in the mud. I saw this cruiser exiting the wash bay as I was getting in my car to leave...it was spotlessly clean. I suppose you have to have the law on your side to get a real car wash at Paul and Bill's. read more
