Unprofessional First the workers that installed the countertop looked confused. Then they didn't have tools with them to do the job..........they had to borrow my tools ....WOW I guess I should send them a bill for tool rental... Terrible customer service. we had granite countertops installed throughout our home a few years ago. The counter in the kitchen is pulling away from the wall so I called Three Rivers Granite on November 29,2021 to explain what was happening and get an estimate to fix it. the office staff would never call back so each week I would call finally on December 21,2021 someone came out to check it and his comment to me was "If it had been done correctly I would not be here". I waited for a call from Three rivers granite but again they would never call back or have the estimate. Finally on January 19th I called and she gave me a price of $500. I told her I thought that was a little extreme and she said they couldn't be responsible for what the other company had done, I replied that they took over the business and they should have some responsibility. I used River City Granite (Granite Daddy) after seeing one of their commercials. I called and the next afternoon, Bob and the in home kitchen designer both showed up to estimate and design. I put half down and signed the paperwork. The next day, I went to their warehouse and picked out my actual stone. Template workers arrived promptly at my home to measure and an install date was set for 3 days after measurements were completed. I was shocked as all other granite installers were a 4 week wait time minimum. Not to mention, Granite Daddy was way cheaper than all other competitors we priced. The installers arrived and were very professional. The install was completed within 4 hours and a date was set to have the sealer scheduled. I even forgot to have them drill a hole for our soap dispenser, and they sent the installer back a few days later free of charge. Nothing but great things to say about my experience. I'll try to keep this short and sweet but all I really need to say is go else where for all your granite needs. A co-worker recommended that we use them because they are the cheapest in town and they did a great job on her kitchen. I called them to get a bid and they said someone would call me back to make an appointment. Got a phone call from what sounded like someone in a car, the man seemed distracted, but we made the appointment. Sure enough, Bob (who calls himself the "Granite Daddy") and Debbie (from the commercial) show up at our door for the appointment. They were able to bring in some pretty beat up sample of granite so we could look at it in the kitchen which was actually very nice. The entire time during the appointment, Bob was constantly getting phone calls or having to make phone calls. However, Debbie did a great job of talking us through their process and she was very easy to talk with. When Bob wasn't on the phone, he was repeating what Debbie had already told us. It came down to asking for their quote. Bob did he talk and typed it up on a calculator and asked me "Who's your Granite Daddy?" Anyway, the price was lower than what we had seen from other people. We searched the web for reviews and we did not find anything so we ended up using them. We were able to go the warehouse and pick out our slabs. We had no issues up until the point of them installing it. The main issue with dealing with RCG is trying to schedule any kind of service with the office. The install ended up getting push back a week which was fine for us because our kitchen was still mostly working (we only did a remodel and not a complete renovation). It wasn't ideal but RCG did not give us any other dates. So they came for the install and it turns out that when they measured, they didn't account for the walls being out of angle. So when the installers put the piece on the counters, there was a huge gap. They ended up having to cut most of the walls out to make any of the pieces to come close to working. So I complained about all of this and the installers did what they could but it just wasn't going to cover all the gaps. So Bob came back out and looked at it and offered to put in a back splash to remedy the issue. It was the only option so we took it. It took another two weeks to get the back splash measured and they offered to install it on a Saturday between 9-11am. The installer called me about 11:30 saying he was running 1-2 late (not a big surprise at this point). So two hours from when he called me, I called him back asking him when he would show up to install. He told me that the office said I cancelled my appointment! At this point I had been waiting all day for nothing. I called Bob and complained to him and he said he would get someone to install it that day. To make a long day longer, the installer got to our house just after 6pm and didn't finish until 9pm. I should use the word "finish" lightly too since one piece still wasn't correct. RCG tried four times to get that piece to fit correctly before it actually looked normal. This took another week and a half. The icing on the cake is that after they finish, they put a very nice sealant on it that last 10+ years. We had schedule the appointment a month out. By the time this was all finished, I was calling on them and confirming every single thing they did. So when I called to confirm the sealant, they forgot about the appointment. I rescheduled with another person who was very nice and came out promptly to do the sealant. All in all, I can't recommend River City Granite. Their price was better than everyone else but I would gladly pay the difference to deal with professionals instead of having to deal with all the headaches from these people. read more

OMG... I can't believe I see this guy back on TV again I assumed he Finally went out of business. I can't stress enough DO NOT do business with this company !!!!!!!!!!! RUN, RUN, RUN... as fast as you can from this company. One of the worst companies I have ever worked with. When you work with BOB "Granite Daddy" its like working with a used car salesmen. Went through them to get granite for my kitchen. I gave them the dimensions I had measured and a kitchen layout. Bob wanted to send somebody out to verify the the layout. He went with what his dimensions instead of mine. He included the stove in his square footage. When the granite was delivered it wasn't what I had paid for. Told Bob and he told me It was correct. He came over and luckily I had a sample of what I bought. He then tried to sell me that piece at a discount which I turned down. A few days later the right piece showed up. When I asked about getting refunded for the difference in square footage he said I paid for it and gave me the granite. Now I have a $300 piece of granite in my basement in storage. I had a very poor experience with River City Granite. I requested that my sink be undermounted. It was not. They were unwilling to correct the error or to discount the service for their mistake. They broke my dishwasher in the process of installing the granite countertops causing water to be flooded into the kitchen. They agreed to fix the dishwasher but failed to show up to the scheduled appointment on multiple occassions. This was finally fixed after being left without a dishwasher for several weeks. Finally, at one point, I was yelled at by 'Granite Daddy' for letting a call go to my voicemail. It was very odd and very inapporpriate. It was a mistake to have chosen RiverCity Granite. read more

WOW!!!!! I cannot begin to tell you how impressed I am with this company!!! At 1st I was a lttlel skeptical after reading the review on here but the more I researched this company I thought I'd give them a try. I called and the lady who answered the phone, who I beleive was Chanda, was so pleasant and explained the process to me. I then received a call from Bob "the Granite Daddy" himself to set up a time for him and Debbie to come to my house! They brought lots of samples, Debbie gave me such good ideas and boy was she right! Bob gave me such a good deal, I got a free vanity top and sealer!! I began to think ok, now it goes down hill, but to my delight I was mistaken. The next day I got a call confirming my contract and that I would be contacted within the week to set up for my measure, and sure enough I did along with an install date. I cannot express how professional the team was from the office to the installers! Oh did I mention that they did my plumbing too? I needed a new garbage disposal and new shut off valves and the plumber did it all for me! I was under the impression that only the existing plumbing was to be hooked up but their plumber Rob took care of me! Thank you so much River City for giving me such a beautiful kitchen! I wish I would have used someone else. Bob and Debbie came out to my house and recommend a stone choice based on my current colors. I never went to the warehouse to pick out my own slab. I just assumed it would look like the sample they showed me. My actual stone I received is much lighter than what they showed me when they came out. Their template process was not very thorough. I think this is the reason why I had gaps on every end of my countertops where they met with the wall. I ended up getting the backsplash installed to hide the gaps. They also had to cutout my existing drywall in order to make the countertop fit on one side. I think if the template had been done correctly, this cutout would have not been needed. I was told that my walls had probably moved and that's why they had to make the cuts. The place the made the cut is on an island and my house is only 7yrs old so I'm not sure how that can happen. The sealer they use with the 25yr warrant is worthless. The day after the guy installed the sealer, I got an oil stain in the countertop that took two weeks to disappear. I also get water stains everyday especially around the sink area so I suggest doing your own sealer because theirs is not very good. My dishwasher does not feel the same since they left. It wobbles a little where it never moved before they did their install. read more

If I could I would give them zero stars. The initial consultation was fine we paid half down and picked a color we liked, however, we were told we could go to the warehouse and pick out a slab we liked which was great because looking a 5in x 5in piece of granite shows you nothing. We were told to pick out a "A or B" grade of granite to keep the same price we were quoted. So we did just that. I then called the office and spoke with one of the ladies and advised her we had picked out a slab, she called Cosmos the supplier and got our information then called me back and reassured me everything was taken care of. When the crew came out to measure I noticed they had the old color on the paperwork. I advised them that was incorrect and they changed the color on their paperwork and I didn't think anymore of it. The day we were getting the counter tops installed I was ecstatic! Couldn't wait! That soon turned into a nightmare of a day when it turned out to be the wrong slab! At that point I wasn't too worried, mistakes happen and it would be fixed. I received a call from Dawn in the office who advised me Bob was not going to honor that color change because in our original contract it had the color we were brought. I called Bob over and over and finally he answered the phone, he tried to play it off like it was my fault and they were not going to bring out the right slab. I advised this was not going to be installed in my house and it was not my fault that multiple employees dropped the ball in getting this processed correctly. I had a copy of the paperwork from the guys that were doing the installation which listed the correct color but whomever cut the slab obviously didn't pay any attention. I was told by Bob multiple times he would call me back then he would have his secretary call. He obviously was avoiding the situation trying to put me off on someone else. Finally after hours of back and forth phone calls Bob agreed to give me the right slab but he wanted to know who I spoke with who said the color was changed because "someone is going to lose their job". Call me crazy but this is not something you tell your client. He acted as if he was doing me a favor by installing the slab I had selected. Then the secretary called to advise they would install the following week but it was going to cost an extra $100 even though we had picked the same grade of granite as the price quoted. At this point I was ready for the nightmare to be over and just agreed I was tired and way to upset to even fight with him anymore. Overall I would not refer this company to anyone, not even my worst enemy. Bob is the worst business man ever and does not know what customer service is. Two experiences with River City Granite: Used River City Granite for our kitchen. Debbie drew out a great plan for center island that had a nice curve. Center island delivered as a rectangle. Had to really pressure Bob into taking the granite back and putting in the curve that I paid for. He absolutely didn't want to do it, but ultimately I got what I wanted. Called RCG for a remnant piece of granite for new hall bath. Gave them my new sink for them to template with and ultimately attach to my granite piece. Gave them specs for new faucet. Delivered granite a week late (no big deal; didn't have the vanity yet) but granite was not attached to sink and holes for faucet not drilled. The excuse was fear the granite would crack if not mounted on vanity before drilling. Rob promised, "the minute you get get the vanity, I will come back out the same day and drill the holes." Call RCG to set up a time for Rob to come back, Dawn took a message and was going to call Rob instantly. Called the next day to confirm Rob would come out. Had to leave a message. Called a third time, had to leave a message. Called a fourth time, had to leave a message. Hmm. Used my contractor's phone and Dawn answered on the second ring. She was surprised when it was me. Said Rob was supposed to call me right away. My phone is working, where is Rob? They were paid in full when Rob dropped off the top. Pretty sure I will never hear from Rob. I had a terrible experience with a granite company in my last home. So when we began shopping for granite counters in our current house, we were very careful in selecting an installer. My first call was to Bob at River City Granite, as two family members had previously used him. Bob came to my house within a few days after calling. His prices seemed reasonable so I was ready to sign the contract. However, my husband and I resisted making an impulsive decision and shopped around. Bob was very passionate and assured us that we would not find more affordable prices and quicker turnaround. Still, we shopped four other companies. We picked our slab from the "Granite Daddy's" recommended installer. Bob was able to get our slab for $400 less than the cheapest of his competitors AND gave us a sooner install date. What I didn't expect was to have counters in one week! We chose our slab on Friday afternoon, his installer measured and templated the following Tuesday, and by Friday, we had counters! Bob and Debbie of River City Granite made this the easiest process of renovating our new kitchen. The granite fit without any need for masking and the slab's patterns are showcased perfectly.
