We were referred to Will Fields/Tough Enough Construction from a friend after obtaining several bids prior from larger companies on a 3-story, older City home tuckpointing job. Will came by, assessed the job, gave a very reasonable bid and performed the work as described. The only surprise was the chimney stack once they got up there. It was crumbling. Mind you, this is a 100 year old house, so not surprising. They took it down brick by brick and re-built it at an extremely affordable price, given the amount of labor involved. Back to the tuck-pointing: The crew arrived every day at 8:00 a.m. and worked usually till 6:00, meaning the job got done within a week, and the work was high-quality. Tuckpointing an older City home can be dusty, dirty work. The crew cleaned up every day, so that you barely knew they were there. By contrast, our neighbor had a much larger company doing roof and guttering work and that crew left nails and junk in our yard the whole time. Impressed by Will Field's work, they hired him too! As did a few other neighbors. We have subsequently had TEC do other jobs on rental properties. They can pretty much handle any kind of roofing, tuckpointing, concrete, carpentry-building, projects. It's hard to find people you can trust with honest, reasonable bids and high quality work. Tough Enough certainly fits the bid! read more
