I'm staying in Sarasota for work, I normally stay closer to the beach. It's spring break so the company pushed me further inland. I was lazy and didn't want to venture far. I'm so glad my laziness landed me here. There isn't one thing that sets this place apart. I had a burger, it wasn't the best burger, it was just a good burger, that's enough. The beers, nothing revolutionary, but I really enjoyed all 4. The staff really sets this place apart. Everyone greats you with a smile and a cool surfer attitude. I think I got 10 or 12 fist bumps from guys and girls, all working here but only a couple of them were waiting on me. Just a nice environment. I sat at the bar (you're weird if you're eating alone and sit anywhere else). I witnessed the staff talking to each other and talking to customers. They all genuinely enjoy this place and it shows. The owner has obviously cultivated a great atmosphere. This is the type of place that makes me want to go back to my roots bartending. I'll be back, you guys were awesome! This was our first time at 3 Keys. It was Sunday afternoon and since we had our dog with us, we sat outside on the porch. There were at least eight very large picnic type tables where customers shared seating. I noticed that almost all the tables were full and that there was ONE waitress for the entire outside seating. I expected service to be slow because of so many people and the usual lack of help. Boy, was I ever wrong! I was totally amazed to see the one waitress, Virginia, handling every single table and every single order with efficiency and professionalism. Virginia anticipated our every need and we never had to wait for our drinks or food. Even our special requests were handled efficiently and with a smile. If you do not like IPAs, do not come here. Even the "light" beer is very hoppy and bitter. Service was great and quick. Ambiance was a weird awkward mix of techno trance. And I like EDM. Would not recommend overall. read more

This is our go-to brewery spot! We love the down to earth atmosphere, beer selection and trivia nights. The best food on the menu are the burgers (and the grilled veggies, trust me). They are working on expanding the back of the restaurant out so excited to see how that goes. read more

The food and atmosphere was amazing. It's a self service type place so you find a seat and place your order at the bar. Most of the table were bar top high tables so it was hard to sit with my toddler even with a high that they provided. However they did have a pretty nice kids area filled with reading books, hot wheels, legos and board games. For adults they provided Nintendo 64, over sized jenga and darts. They also have this cool Mug club. What is is you pay a one time fee of 75 dollars and purchase a 20oz mug and any time you come on you use your mug and pay for 16oz beer. If I lived here my husband would do this in a heart beat. The husband and I order a hamburger and split a salad. Every was delicious! We are going to visit before we leave Florida. read more

We ate here with family last night. It was okay. The positives: - Food was served really fast. We put our order in and bam! It was on the table. Tip: if you want to enjoy a beer before dinner, don't order right away. - The place was busy but not too noisy - Everyone liked their food and ate most of it - The brews were interesting, if you're a dark beer fan (I am not). The blueberry wheat and Braid(something) blonde were good. The negatives: - Understaffed. Paying at the bar with only one person working the register and serving customers on a Friday night is nonsense. - No table service. Your drinks and food are ordered by YOU at the bar. We were a party of six adults so playing waitress and ordering for everyone was not a job I enjoyed. This is really a nice place and I hope they straighten out their issues because their food and beer (and Mug Club) are all pretty good. It's the choppy and frustrating service that's the downer. This brewery is a joke. I tried them out when they first opened and it wasn't quite a good experience. Their service was mediocre at best. Today, I decided to give them a second chance, since their beers were decent and I happened to be in the area. Thought they might have improved from when they first opened. Boy was I wrong! Second time around was worse. I ordered two flights and a dinner. The bartender took my information and typed it into their iPad. I was then given a number for my meal. Well, we finished our flights and no food. This was already over HALF AN HOUR later! I then asked the bartender to check in on my meal at this point. I was told the order was NEVER PLACED in the system. They then said they would expedite it. I told them to forget about it! I demanded to close out my tab immediately and they only comped a drink. Now for the kicker. They grabbed the wrong credit card, not once, BUT TWICE! I had to describe my card to the bartender, who I originally gave the damn card to! This place is a complete and utter joke. It's completely run and operated by CLOWNS! It's sad really, their beers are really decent. But the place is run by clowns. I definitely won't be coming back and don't recommend this place to anyone! read more

Well here we go again! I liked this place for a simple reason that they have some decent beer. Then I had a salad with a good amount of good chicken. I would suggest some olives, good cheese and bread stick or such. This place is different, you have to go to the bar and order your food and drink and refills. Then in the background is a BINGO game. You can win beer and whatever. All the bar seats are full, is it for the game or just to be close to ordering food and liquids of your choice. I'd go again, remember they have some decent beer. My husband and I came here for dinner a few nights ago and were sadly disappointed. We ordered the 3 Keys Burger and it had zero flavor and the bottoms of the burger were charred. I was expecting a better experience for what I paid...the beer selection is nice and ever changing! I had the Dulce & Manzana brew as well as the Southern Belle. Was impressed by those! They weren't overly sweet like most ciders are and I really appreciated the flavor notes in each of these. It definitely tasted like the description! There was another time I was here and ordered tacos, asked for no lettuce and onions and was told that the tacos come as is...don't eat here if you have a food allergy! I'll come back once in awhile to try the different beers, but I'll never eat here again. Less than stellar experience with their food menu. read more

3 keys is a wonderful place! It is great for adults and children, they have adult and child board games and the outside is perfect for kids to hang out and play. The beers are delicious, I always get a flight so I can taste different beers or ciders, the food is not the best but I do recommend the nachos and the dip. The pizza was also good.
