I have been doing business with 3 Day for the past five years and have purchased from them several times, spending a significant amount of money. Unfortunately, after my most recent installation this past Saturday, I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer service I have received. The brackets for one floor were not long enough. Initially, the installer told me it was an error made by the salesperson I have worked with for years. Later, he said it was actually a manufacturing error. Regardless of who was responsible, I was told, "No problem. They'll get back to you," and that it should take about a week to resolve. Since then, I have left several messages with both Customer Care and Penrod Installation, and no one has returned my calls. I even reached out to the consultant I have worked with for five years because I thought she might be able to help. Unfortunately, the response essentially amounted to, "They don't answer before 8 a.m." I am shocked and beyond disappointed by the lack of professionalism and, more importantly, the apparent lack of concern for a loyal, longtime customer. After five years of doing business with the company and spending a considerable amount of money, I expected much better follow-through and customer service. Mistakes happen--that's understandable. What is unacceptable is being left without communication or a clear resolution. A loyal and consistent customer should matter even after the sale is complete. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would strongly caution others to think twice before doing business with 3 Day. read more

I had a very disappointing experience with 3 Day Blinds. I was quoted about $3,500 by Design consultant Lori StClair for (8) eight honeycomb shades, with promotions like "Buy One Get One 50% Off" and a "Friends & Family" discount. However, when I reviewed the contract, there was no clear, line-by-line breakdown showing how those discounts were actually applied to each window. The pricing felt inconsistent and difficult to follow. Just noting discounts applied. To what? From where? A concern as well was a $695 "packaging and handling" fee, which seemed unusually high and was never clearly explained. I reached out multiple times--called, texted, and spoke with customer service--asking for a detailed breakdown. Customer service said they couldn't explain the pricing beyond what I already saw, and the sales associate referred me back to the contract & design consultant without providing clarification. Despite my questions still being unresolved, I was contacted by an installer to schedule installation, which felt rushed given I didn't fully understand the charges. Because of the lack of transparency and communication, I chose to cancel within my 3 day contract window. If you're considering 3 Day Blinds, I strongly recommend asking for a clear, itemized breakdown of all pricing, discounts, and fees before signing moving forward. You should definitely know the prices and be able to see clear discounts or else it's just smoke & mirrors. read more

Terrible company. Very over priced and took several months to get the blinds. Don't know where the name 3 day blinds came from. The quality is poor. Recharging often does not work and the chargers we received are all different. They also pulled a switch on us changing an order and would not fix without a charge. read more

I had 3 day blinds install my new window treatments this past Monday. One of the mini blinds they put in the hall bathroom is faulty and will not go up. I have tried for 3 days to set up a time for them to come out and replace this. No luck. They do not follow up on setting a time. Don't understand how the installer did not know this was a problem at time of installation . Their customer service is very bad. Sandra Bray read more

Very expensive, be ready to me sold on expensive blinds. These are custom so if you don't like them you are out of luck. I didn't like the mechanics on my blinds, and in my very fast sales call would not be aware of that. I was told there's nothing they can do. So now I spent a lot of money on blinds that I have to be careful how I open and close them. I'm still beside myself. When i received my blinds one was defective and it took 4 weeks to get a new one. I had a window for a month with no window cover. I would not recommend them, it was just a bad experience and very expensive. read more

Abismal. I tried to contact them to complete a supplier form for my company. I was put on hold / transferred 7 times, each one lasting about 15 minutes. Finally after the last hold they told me to call the sales rep. Why didn't someone tell me that from the beginning?!? read more

3 Day Blinds came to our home in October 2019. The first installer came from Tri State Installation in Elmhurst in mid November. The person was polite but didn't have all the parts so they had to reorder them. Next installer from Tri State Installation comes and is confused, puts things in incorrectly, and says he has to come back. The company, Tri State Installation doesn't respond to calls or will call a wrong number. They didn't come in January. Had to call them back in February. Finally have somebody come out at the end of March. The installer was polite, knowledgeable, and was doing great but the materials were wrong. Two weeks go by and I don't hear from them. I call Tri State Installation and they have a new person named Justin, who apologizes and promises to get people out there when it is safe. I ask him to please get back to me as soon as installers can work again. He says he will. Another month passes, I call and speak to Justin. He is confused by his paperwork and says he will call me back. I tell him I'm going to a meeting but to feel free to leave a message if I don't pick up. No callback. A week later I call and speak to another person, a female. Same thing, we will call you back. Another week goes by and nothing. At this time I'm upset. It's May and the roller shades I ordered in October are still not installed. I get ahold of Jeff, who is the head of Tri State Installation. He informs me that his employees did their job perfectly. When I asked him if the work they did would be acceptable in his house, he said no. He told me it was my responsibility to call 3 Day Blinds and hung up the phone on me. I called 3 Day Blinds and spoke to Carolina. She was polite and empathized with my situation. Didn't not hear back for more than a week. Called 3 Day again and spoke to Wendell. He found the order and contacted Tri State Installation. They said they might receive my order on June 16th but couldn't install them in until June 19th and were blaming FedEx because of shipping. I said I would like to speak to Tri State to confirm. I contacted them and they said they couldn't do it any earlier because other customers had installations scheduled. They refused to install after 6 pm. When I told them that was unacceptable, they hung up the phone. I called back, Jeff told me that his employee was, "In the shitter" and proceed to yell at me saying he is canceling my order and hangs up the phone. To summarize, 3 Day Blinds talks a great game, has beautiful products, and has a customer service group that is polite. 3 Day Blinds installation contractors are unprofessional, rude, and have horrible customer service. At no point during my eight month ordeal did I have anyone follow up with me. I am so disappointed in their work. If you are looking for blinds, I cannot recommend them. Update on June 11, 2020: 3 Day Blinds leave a comment about contacting me but has yet to do so. When they do, I'll repost to this review. Update on June 13, 2020: Still no answer from 3 Day Blinds. They talk a great game but do not follow through. Update on June 29, 2020. Still no answer from 3 Day Blinds. My blinds did get installed but I had to do all the ground. After 9 months I finally have blinds. Thanks 3 Day Blinds for wasting my time. read more

We have had our whole house now done and are very satisfied with the results. All positive experience with the sales persons, installer and the quality of the product. Fortunately we did not any complains or any negative experience as written in other reviews. read more

If negative stars were an option that is what I would give. Absolutely terrible buying experience. We previously did business with Eddie Z's and apparently 3 day blinds bought them since our last job. 3 day blinds turned into 3 month blinds. We ordered our plantation shutters in May and they were poorly installed in August. The corners are either cut too short or too long and do not create a 90 degree angle. The trim is actually falling to the floor. I reached out to customer service to request a reinstall. Have not heard back on a service date since then and that was nearly 3 weeks ago. Our design consultant indicated we are in queue. That means nothing as we don't know anything more and our window coverings. read more

After my Yelp review 3 Day Blinds did contact me to let me know the second installation fee of $142 was waived since I already paid for installation with my original order and a discount ($75) was taken off the 3rd (missing blind) price. This discount was not 50% off the original per blind order. 50% off would have been about $500 as each blind cost approximately $1,000. read more

A horrible experience. It took over a month to get our blinds installed. And the salesman was here for three hours on his computer. The installer was here once before and didn't remember us at all when he returned. The blinds are broken and they charged us $500 for an arched window blind. Here is the same exact window covering for $17.99. See the picture I attached. Well I guess I was a fool but how could they mark up the price so much? They said it was a custom order. I would be very careful with this company and ask them what their name 3 Day Blinds is suppose to represent. read more

I am looking at Yelp to find a window treatment company, and I saw 3-day Blinds here and it brought back memories of a bad experience with this store, it was a few years ago, I paid for in home measurements but I needed to cancel before the appointment, but the store policy was no refund could be made. So, I am going to give me business (drapes for all the windows and a patio door in the house) now to another window treatment company. This kind of store policy deserves a bad review, better late than never. read more

We had a sales lady come to the house in April to give a quote on motorized custom drapes for the picture window in the living room. It was very pricey to begin with but she managed to give us a discount due to her already being in a potential customer home. We picked out what we wanted and she told us it'll take almost 2 months before it's ready. We paid over $3000 that day. 2 months later (June) they call us saying the merchandise is in so we can schedule the date for the installation which we did. The following week the installer calls us saying he's 15 minutes away and once he got here he started unloading everything only to tell us he can't install our motorized drapes we paid over $3000 for 2 months ago because the rod is broken and there's nothing else he can do. So he basically picked up the product without checking it and it was already broke or he broke it in transit to our house. We call customer service only for them to tell us they'll open a case and have a case manager call us back. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. No case manager call back so we had to call only for them to tell us that we have to wait another 3-6 weeks for the new rod to come in. NEGATIVE, we paid all that money in April only for you to tell us now we gotta wait until July. REFUND US PLEASE and we'll call BUDGET BLINDS. 3 day blinds deserve 0 stars for customer service. read more

They damaged my wall during installation. It's a brand new construction home. Not only that, they misplaced one of my blinds and had to install it later after they finally located it. Absolutely terrible. Spent a crazy amount of money thinking that professional window treatments would give our home a little wow factor. We could have done better on our own and saved 80% of our money. Rods were installed badly with one literally pulling out of the wall. Fabric doesn't lay well. We ordered in early December and we're still waiting for the job to be completed because we were sent the wrong hardware. Oh, and they took their final payment from my credit card without me signing off that the job was done. Do not waste your money!! read more

I'm surprised they are in business. Had the sales rep over and needed Draperies and Blinds .this was a present for my Mom who turned 93 and lived in the home her and my dad build. The sale rep first off didn't measure the drapes right later got a call it's going to cost more because of the shortage. ok I figured one mistake no problem. Then measured for the blinds. The first ones came and the first thing the installer does is take down the old ones. then opening the box and finds out the new ones are bent and damage. weeks go by and the second ones come, I mentioned before the blinds are installed open the box and check them. The second ones were bent and damaged. Week goes by and the third set came and were find. THE DIFFERENCE WAS THE BLINDS WERE BUBBLE WRAPPED. Why not the first time what a waste of materials. Getting back to the drapes still waiting for them to remake the custom draperies one side panel was 18" short for what the installer called an "off-set". Funny that my mom caught it 93 with dementia. I WOULD NOT RECOMEND 3 DAY BLINDS. Some Birthday Present! I hope my mom lives to see the new drapes. the last ones were made in the early 1970s and still are ok some wear and tear. read more

The Design Consultant came to my home on Friday, May 25th. We picked out vertical blinds and a valance. I explained I was having out of town guests and I needed the blinds installed as soon as possible. The consultant input the order into her tablet, had me sign my name and asked my for a check for the full amount of the order, which I gave to her. She then made a phone call and scheduled the installation for the following Friday and gave me a copy of the warrantee information. The following week, I received a call from the installation company saying that they wouldn't receive the blinds until Friday, so they couldn't install until Monday between 8 and noon. I agreed to this since my guests were not coming until the following Monday. On that Monday, I received an email saying they would be at my house that day between 10:00 and noon. The email also stated that I had to have the old blinds removed and disposed of, which the consultant told me the installation company would do for me and also that I needed to have a 3 foot pathway for the installation company to walk on. There are queen size beds under both windows which I am physically unable to move. The need to move my furniture was never mention to me prior to this. By 1:00 p.m. no one had shown up, so I called the installation company. I was routed to voice mail, left a message asking for status, but never received a call back. I later call your customer service number and spoke to a representative. She put me on hold to check on the order and when she came back she said the blinds arrived damage. I explained there were two sets of blinds and why couldn't they install one of them. She put me on hold again and came back and said both sets of blinds were damaged. I asked her what could be done now. She put me on hold again to ask her supervisor and when she came back she said her supervisor told her to open a case and someone would get back to me in 48 hours. I told her 48 hours was unacceptable and I needed someone to call me back as soon as possible. She advised she understand and would make that clear when is opened the case. Of all the people I talked to through this whole fiasco, she was the only one who seemed concerned and tried to help. I then sent a message to the Design Consultant who called me back and said she was one her way home and she would check on the situation and call me back. She never did. Later that day a case manager called me and said he would investigate and get back to me in 48 hours. Again, I had to explain that 48 hours was unacceptable and if the blinds were not installed by that Friday, I want to cancel the order. The case manager told me that, per my invoice, the order had to be cancelled in 3 days. I explained I had never received an invoice and didn't know that. Regardless, I hadn't change my mind, 3 Day Blinds failed to install, as promised. The case manager advised he would e-mail me a copy of the invoice. I was shocked when I read it and it did say I had to cancel in 3 days and the installation date was not guarantee. No wonder I was never given a copy. The case manager called me back on Wednesday and advised he had spoken to the installation company and even if they requested replacement blinds and put a rush on it, they would not receive the blinds until Friday. I was shocked, at say the least, that they had not requested the replacement blinds on Monday, when they discovered the blinds they were received were damaged. I received no response. He did offer me a 30% discount on my order, but that didn't help me get the blinds by when I needed them. I told the case manager to cancel the blinds and refund my money, which he agreed to do. I then called the Design Consultant and she said she would make some phone calls and she promised me my blinds would be installed by Friday. Again, she said she'd call me back and never did. I called the case manager again and went to voice mail. I told him I would not cancel the order if I could be guaranteed that the blinds would be installed first thing Monday morning, as my guests were arriving at noon. I didn't receive a call back that day, and on Wednesday I received a voice mail message from the case manager saying he had processed my refund. My guests have come and gone and I have since contacted another blind company. I have to wait about 4 weeks to get the blinds, but a chose a slightly upgraded blinds that what I order from 3 Day Blinds, they will remove and dispose of my old blinds and move the furniture. All of this for about 30% less than what you were charging me. I was also given an itemized invoice and discovered the measurements taken by your design consultant were wrong and she messed up my check routing number. These people can't do anything right. read more
