    Fried Chicken Buns
    Emily K.

This is definitely a place for instagrammers and not necessarily if you're craving a good meal. The decor is definitely super cute and trippy to sit in! They have staff but you'll order at a kiosk. I ordered the fried chicken buns and the soup dumplings. The buns were pretty solid, but kinda felt like a few chicken nuggets in a bun with sauce and some lettuce. The soup dumplings were a little meh, wouldn't order again. Overall a cute spot to come once for the novelty.

Pork dumpling, comes in 6 but we already ate two.

This place reminds me of the 2D cafe in Japan. The place looks awesome with 2D effect. It is a self service shop so you come in and order at the kiosk. The server and host are friendly and the food comes out immediately. I went with a friend and ordered the Tapinyaki, Pork Dumpling and Pork with Rice. The serving size is huge so keep that in mind when you order. Food is awesome. The restaurant is across from Tenleytown metro stop. Highly reco

2D Noodles is a newish fast casual noodle place right off the Tenleytown Metro. The good: -- Interesting interior: The 2D design is cute, and the large chandelier on the ceiling is a nice touch. Ordering at the kiosk is pretty straightforward, and there's a staff member right there if you need help. -- The pho is quite delicious and very very generously portioned. Be prepared to take leftovers home. I had kept my expectations in check due to the lackluster yelp reviews but to my pleasant surprise the Pho is pretty yummy. The broth is a tad too salty at first but adding the lime juice brings it to a perfect balance. -- Staff is helpful and friendly. -- kudos for serving the noodle soups in proper ceramic bowls, not plastic. The Not-so-good: - Cleanliness: The place is quite new but isn't as well kept as it should be. There's visible dirt and debris on the floor especially along the walls. Also, as soon as I sit down, I noticed a faint unpleasant smell, the table smells like dirty rags. It had probably been wiped down with a rags that hasn't been rinsed in a while. - the bean sprouts plate that comes with the Pho has a puddle of water sitting at the bottom of the plate, which doesn't feel sanitary. Please dry the sprouts properly before serving. Hopefully these issues will be addressed. Overall, a very welcome addition to the neighborhood.

I can't comment on the service or ambiance as this food was delivered. The portions were large. I was taken a back since the lo mein and eggplant were lunch portions, and usually you can expect a small serving, but not at this restaurant. Also, the lunch entrees came with a side of soup, which made this an even better deal (both were $13.95). While the food was delivered hot and packaged well, some of the items were great, and some fell flat due to texture issues. I really like the fried crab wontons, lo mein, and hot and sour soup. They hit the spot. I didn't enjoy the Hunan shrimp as the shrimp didn't taste fresh and had an odd texture to it. The eggplant also was overcooked so was somewhat a sloppy, dough like consistency when eating, which was kind of off putting. If returning, I would opt for the lo mein and soup.

The staff are very friendly and attentive. There is Uyghur art of different types throughout the restaurant, which has two levels. I ordered two different samsas (beef and pumpkin) and korma with lamb. The pumpkin one tastes as good as it smells. What a yummy and comfort treat. The beef begins with a subtle flavor and then builds with every bite. I asked for medium heat on my korma (the noodle dish). It was delicious and spicy. I hope to try the Dolan pot of tea, if I am blessed to be in this area again. Dinner was truly lovely.

We shared a bunch of different appetizers and entrees - the favorites were the goshnan, korma chop, and royal laghman. This is a great restaurant to share a bunch of dishes as they're definitely designed to share. They have varying levels of spice and we opted for medium for everything. Noodles are clearly made in house and super chewy and delicious. We got the dolan cake for dessert and that was our favorite dish of the night so definitely save room for dessert! Definitely a 4/4.5 star place. I really wish the menus were on paper - you have to scan a QR code to look at everything which isn't my favorite. Also a random 3% fee was added to our bill (which I don't see disclosed on the online menu). Overall I'd go back for the food/takeout especially with a larger group!

My waitress said they had taken them off the menu but there was such an outcry they brought them back. The sweet chili was good but the green onion one was amazing. The bulgogi steak was very tender and delicious.

I finally found it after walking back up the street for the second time. What threw me off was that there is an interior street called Bethesda Lane!!! I blame gps for not telling me to turn down this lane because my phone kept saying that I have arrived. But it was worth the walk up and down Bethesda Avenue. I got there before the noon rush and ordered the bibimbap which consisted of bulgogi steak and tofu with spicy kimchi, housemade pickles, bean sprout banchan, and veggies atop crispy rice. Topped with gochujang and a fried egg. It was not too spicy as there was just a dab of gochujang which was enough to give the dish a little kick but not overly spicy. The kimchi was also on the spicy side but again, fine for me. All the ingredients were tasty. I especially loved the tofu mixed in with the steak sauce. My first bite of the tofu actually made me think it was the meat. The rice wasn't "crispy" as described. I think if I hadn't taken it as a to-go order, it may have been prepared in a stone pot therefore giving me that crispy rice. I will need to try a dine-in next time to be sure. The egg was perfectly done.
