The workers is nice, I liked how lot independency we had at here! Recommend to come here between 4-6 pm as that seems to be less crowded comparing to after dinner time to their closing time, it's crowded as it's cooler for everyone. So keep in mind come here on a good weather day! Hats , sunglasses & cold water to keep yourself hydrated. There's drink vending machines of cold sodas and waters. There's also nice maintenance air conditioned restrooms! Seems very accessible as there is alternative ramps everywhere and printed out stories board at the every holes! Wish we took pictures, we had too much fun to do so!

They did an amazing job preserving its history while adding modern touches that make it feel fresh and inviting. Be sure to look up at the roof when you arrive. The food is fantastic and such a welcome change from the usual bar menu. Everything I've had has been delicious, and the prices are more than fair for the quality and portion sizes. I also love that they're always mixing up the entertainment. Whether it's live bands or different styles of music, there's always something new going on, so no two visits feel exactly the same. The bar is top-notch too. Great selection of top-shelf liquor, beers, and seltzers, and they don't water down the drinks. You definitely get what you pay for. What keeps me coming back, though, is the atmosphere. The staff and the people there are genuinely friendly. I've brought friends from out of town several times, and without fail they always tell me what a great place it is and how much they enjoyed the evening. The Lodge on Main has that rare combination of great food, strong drinks, live music, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. If you're in the area, don't miss it!

We dropped by for a late lunch /afternoon snack and ordered the cheese curds and tacos. Both were fresh and flavorful! We spent the afternoon by the water and came back for dinner and ordered the grilled salmon with fries, clam chowder soup and the cherry pie. The salmon was perfectly cooked, and the flavors were excellent. One of the coolest parts about this place (and Door County in general) is that most of the servers are international seasonal workers. They brought such a great, energetic, and friendly vibe to our dining experience! The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating right by the water. Giving it 4 stars because there is definitely room for improvement regarding service pacing and menu clarity: Time your dessert order: The restaurant was busy, so I placed my dessert order along with my dinner. Unfortunately, the hot cherry pie was brought out before we finished our main course, so the ice cream had melted significantly by the time we were ready for it. Taco Fixings: Just a heads-up that the tacos come with meat only by default. It was tasty, but I really wish it had come with some standard toppings or fixings. The Fish Boil sells out fast: They host a fish boil right by the lake, but you absolutely need to reserve well in advance. We tried to book it on Tuesday afternoon right after checking into our hotel, and it was already completely sold out for the night.

First flag, Saturday afternoon lunch (a little of a late lunch) but no one in the place. Waitress was nice, and the menu had all day breakfast along with lunch and dinner offerings. The specials on the wall added a number of choices too. We ordered a bowl of Chicken noodle soup to share, I had the Country Fried Steak (special on the board) and my wife had a cheeseburger and onion rings. First the good, the onions rings were great and the soup was better than average. Burger was okay, with a very good bun. What was disappointing? We ordered and our waitress disappeared until the food was done. We wanted our soup first (which is the way it should be served) but we couldn't find anyone to ask for it. Of course our food came out, and then we got the soup! My meal sucked! Everything was greasy....the hash browns, the eggs and the steak. I tried, but I couldn't eat it. Even the eggs that were supposed to be "over easy" were hard. The hash browns were a gray color and for some reason buried underneath the gravy covered County Fried Steak. Only thing good about my meal was the sourdough toast! Adding to the bad meal, which was actually funny, was that the wet naps they handed out with the meal were dry as a bone! How old do wet nap packages have to be to be dried out?! Prices were reasonable, but because I left most of my meal on my plate it wasn't too great of a value. Not a place I'd go back to.

No drinks, no "we will be with you shortly" or anything. We just sat there. Finally a server came over and said they had a big group come in and it was causing some backup and the host should have told us; he didn't. The drinks and appetizer came quickly and the street corner appetizer was very good; I would order it again. Once the appetizer was finished we sat with empty glasses for a good while. Again, no communication. Once the food arrived, things got much better. Wraps were good, not great. My daughter's pizza was good. With all the restaurants in the area, they will need to up their game on service.
