SCAM ALERT: Whatever you do, do not use this locksmith. They would not quote anything over the phone and certainly neglected to mention there is a flat $65 technician fee on top of any service. I had a simple door knob (1) that needed to be unlocked and was charged $245 : $175 for the service (well above the market rate for unlocking, no needed hardware etc) and then the surprise $65 technician fee. When I called to dispute the technician fee, I realized it is not a neighborhood business but instead a phone number that spits you to a call center. For shits and giggles, I acted as if I needed service and inquired about a technician fee and they said there was none. There was no one available to discuss the issue with as well. I think this service dispatches all of their jobs to 3rd party locksmiths, some of whom will unscrupulously upcharge you. This seems to be the pattern with other 1-star reviews and is definitely what happened to us. Be careful dealing with this business because your results will vary wildly. Or better yet, just stay away. In our case, we needed to get our locks rekeyed to address a security concern and while the locksmith came out reasonably quickly, was friendly enough, and got the job done, he majorly overcharged us for the work he did. After adding up the base rekeying fee and various mysterious "labor" charges for about 45 minutes of work, we were on the hook for over $400 for rekeying 2 standard deadbolts and 1 door handle lock with the same key. This was around 5:30pm, so it wasn't an off-hours emergency or anything like that. I thought this seemed suspiciously high, but paid the bill anyway. I then found out from my landlord that something like this should have cost 1/3 of that. I called back the next day to get them to give me a quote over the phone and was told rekeying should cost $75 for the first lock and $25-45 for each additional. With 3 locks, this means the max should have been $165 plus taxes for any hardware. They weren't able to do anything for me except contact the technician to understand why he charged what he did. When you find yourself in the position of needing a locksmith, you are almost always in a position of vulnerability and insecurity, and it's an easy position to take advantage of. You just want the job done and trust an honest professional to do it right and charge you fairly. If something doesn't go well, you're now potentially arguing with a stranger who knows where you live, practically has the keys to your house, AND can pick locks, so in the grand scheme of things, the potential downside isn't really worth quibbling over a couple hundred bucks. But it doesn't mean it's right to take advantage of a trusting customer. A business that employs someone who consistently does that does not deserve additional business. I can understand the need to contract work out to maintain 24/7 coverage, but in doing so, you also need to stand by the integrity and quality of the people you work with and take responsibility for their actions. read more

I hate to rate this, but I'm a little frustrated. I called Sat afternoon about a lost car key and they said they had no technicians available currently and I said I had no problem scheduling an appointment for the next day. I give them my car make and model and they say it's no problem. So the next day rolls around and no one shows up. I had a tenant recently moved out of the rental apartments and needed to re-key the locks. Because if he's amazing reviews, I contacted Nick and he gave me the lowest price of anybody by a wide margin. Moreover, he kindly offered to come at the time that was most convenient for me, which no one else was willing to do. When Nick arrive, he was extremely professional. He checked the quality of the locks and noticed that the locks were not of the best quality, they had a lot of problems with them etc. At that point, I must admit that I was afraid that the price that he quoted me was too good to be true and that this was going to be yet another bait and switch. Thank goodness, it was not! Nick offered to not only re-key my locks, but actually replace both the deadbolt and the door knob, each of which had its own keys, for the exact same very low price that he had quoted just to change the keys and re-key the existing old locks!!!!!!!!! In addition to this, without charging me any extra, with a lot of his time being used on it, he ended up realigning my door and the connection between the deadbolt and the door, in order to get a perfect fit. This is an odd review... I called up 25/7 as my front door lock was malfunctioning. Over the phone, they told me that the manufacturer has a good warranty and can supply replacement parts. As a result, I was able to fix the lock myself at zero cost. By being honest, 25/7 lost this job. However, they won me over. I'll certainly use them in the future. read more

They help you in your worst time. But Dispatch had said the technician would take 30-45 minutes. It took 1 hour 45 mins instead. Dispatch said it would cost $85-120 to open the door. Not happy with these people. they came out to see if my Baldwin entry lock was repairable, which it was. Ace, the service man, quoted me a ballpark price. I thought it was high but since I couldn't open the door, I said "Do it". Ace said it would take several hours to take it back to the store, repair, and come back. the store is in the valley and we are in Brentwood. 45 mins. later he returns and installs it. $380 ! super high, price I feel was based on my address. Later that day the inside handle was loose, so I called Ace . He said it was fine when he left and I should get a special wrench and I should do it, he was too busy to come back. Despite all the 5 stars and good reviews, please pay attention to the 1 star reviews. The same thing that happened to them, happened to me as well. I was quoted $80-$120 on the phone but charges quickly racked up as he arrived. There were hidden fees and it quickly racked up to $484... he went on about 1 of the locks being harder etc etc. but the entire thing took 2 minutes. The same tactics have been used on other people and the 1 star reviews from multiple people with the same experience proves that.
