We hired J Sewer & Drain to install a new catch basin in September 2025 after the wall of our old…read moreone collapsed. The quoting process and installation initially went smoothly. A couple of weeks later, we noticed the soil around the catch basin beginning to sink. Over time, the settling worsened to the point where part of the catch basin wall and some of our foundation became visible, which was understandably concerning. Communication was slow at first, and it took some persistence to get follow-up. Eventually, J Sewer & Drain did come out to inspect the catch basin. After their evaluation, they indicated that the installation itself appears to be sound and that the settling is likely due to soil compaction issues rather than a structural problem with the basin. Since the inspection, things seem to be stable and okay.
