We were lucky enough to be able to sit outside, which if you are a Midwesterner like me, you can appreciate. Our server was very friendly, and we also had some great views of the water! I loved my martini I thought it was made very well, for my meal I decided to have the steamed mussels that were in a delicious buttery garlic sauce, my dad had some tasty peel and eat shrimp as well! All around good time, and I hope I have the chance to go back one day.

The service at the bar was great, the restaurant put out extra seating which was a plus and the live music was amazing. My group ended up getting a table upstairs to eat dinner with only a short 20 minute wait. Our waiter was Charles which we all wanted to shout out. He was the best waiter! Super personable, very quick with getting stuff we needed and overall just a great person who seems to truly love his job. He recommended the French dip (which I was planning on getting anyway) and it was delicious!! If you don't like salty food, I would steer away from this sandwich, but it was exactly how I love a French dip. We will definitely be back for more events and dinner in the future!

That was a letdown. Also, I had a situation that needed attention, I reached out to Marilyn, however my email, voicemail and text were ignored. She never addressed it at all. We came back to the room one day and Marilyn was upstairs. I went upstairs to introduce myself and she was shutting the door to another room in the hall knowing I was coming up the stairs. I said Hi, are you Marilyn and she poked her head out and said yes, I don't have a bra on. OK, that was quite awkward. She never made an attempt to come introduce herself to us. Never let us know that no breakfast will ever be served. She should've let us know how to go about using the bikes and or kayaks that are supposably there for guest use. On a positive note, we absolutely loved the area. There are lots of walkways, a park, the water, and restaurants. The porch was a pleasure to sit and relax. There are 2 community refrigerators and a nice coffee/tea maker. The home itself looks nice but not welcoming to guests that might want to sit in the living room to get out of their little room for a bit. Overall, I would not stay there again. If Marilyn doesn't want to run the home anymore, she should hire someone to run it. Seemed to me that she had no interest in making us feel welcome. Also, I saw her outside the home as I was preparing to leave at checkout at 11:00. I mentioned to her that our flight was not until 7:30 that evening. She tells me there is a Top Golf near the airport that we can go hang out in. A welcoming person would've said you are welcome to hang out on the porch if you would like. We were the only guests in the home the entire 5 days. I needed to go back on the porch as I forgot something, and the keypad already had us locked out at 11:02. Not welcoming at all. I gave it 2 stars for the location. The place has a lot of potential and could've been such a better experience. Luckily for us, we know how to enjoy ourselves wherever we go. We had a great time exploring Stuart, Jensen Beach, Fort Pierce, Port St Lucie and Fort Lauderdale. Florida is beautiful.

She seemed to be everywhere--the beach area, the outdoor restaurant, the indoor restaurant, and the bar--always moving, always smiling, always making guests feel welcomed and cared for. She is kind, professional, attentive, and genuinely joyful in her work. Wendy doesn't just serve food and drinks--she creates an experience that makes you happy to be staying at this hotel. Her energy and warmth are contagious, and she makes guests feel like friends. We will absolutely be back, if only to enjoy the presence of an employee (and now friend) like Wendy. I truly hope management realizes what a shining star they have in her--because she is the kind of person who keeps people coming back again and again. Thank you, Wendy, for making our stay unforgettable!

Room was well worth the cost and we had a wonderful stay. The breakfast baskets available are a perfect grab and go meal. We will return. There are a few things to keep in mind: 1- The restaurant and bar on first floor ate no longer open, so don't plan to eat or drink on site (bars and eateries are very close by). 2 - The hundred plus year old railroad system runs directly across from the hotel and the entire business district. We loved it, but it is loud and does shake the walls a couple times a day and night ;-) 3 - They use 1 ply toilet paper, you've been warned lol

The AC in the room never really get the room (Rm. 37) cool when we were there in April 2024. It never got above 84 outside when we were there, so this is going to be a problem when it's 95 and humid this summer. 2.) There was only someone at the desk from 9 am - 5 pm each day. When we needed anything after that time, we had to look for someone on site. 3.) Being so old, it is not ADA-compliant. No elevator. With mobility issues due to a prosthetic right leg, getting up those stairs to the room on the second floor was hard. Likewise, for some reason you have t step up into the bathroom in your room which was also difficult. 4.) The restaurant was not open when we were there. They suggested we walk down the street to a place called Cracker's. (We did and it was good.) 5.) Not the hotel's fault, but there is next to nothing to do in Indiantown. I think there may be a golf course nearby, but that was it. We were there for the US Sugar steam train in Clewiston, an hour away.
