Great staff, responsive maintenance, beautiful views, and friendly neighbors. Then there are the ROACHES. I've lived in apartments most of my adult life with pets and their accompanying food. I never had roaches until I lived in this building! Apparently, the roaches live in the walls and migrate from apartment to apartment. Pest Control sprays various units every week in a game of whack-a- mole. read more

I love my stay at 2000 Riverside Dr, I have an amazing view, I appreciate all of the commodities that come with being here, I also have birds come visit me often I have no complaints I am thankful. Patronizing front desk person - seemed as if we were bothering her to take a tour. No small talk was made. Basically the complex is a gussied up low rent property. The apartment was small with kitchen and bathroom you could barely turn around in. No washer and dryer in units - what a hassle. Forget bringing your dog if it is considered a "dangerous" breed. Pest control is rude and obnoxious. I've been trying to get them in my apartment for months because roaches are a serious issue within the building. Leasing team is going to side with their workers every time even though their staff does the absolute minimum and is just there to collect a check. I asked to speak with the pest controls manager after he caught several attitudes with me and referred to himself as the owner. He then refused time tell me how companies name so I could leave a review and instead stated that he is going to go downstairs and leave me a "nasty review". Some of the maintenance team is very unprofessional and I don't feel comfortable whenever they enter my apartment. Walls are super thin can literally hear all my neighbors conversations throughout the day. 4 of the 6 months that I've been living here there has been construction going on and it's very disturbing. If you can move anywhere else, I would definitely recommend doing so! read more

This is by far the best experience I have had living at an apartment. What I loved best about it was not only the location -- quiet, convenient, walking distance to nature walks and Richmond downtown -- but also the staff were unbeatable. Every member of the staff, whether it was the leasing office, reception, or maintenance, were so generous with their time and seemed to truly care about making my living experience the best it could be! I loved all the conveniences of limitless printing in the Business Office, and also getting to not only safely store any packages at the front desk but also have FedEx and UPS pick-ups! Talk about convenient! My adorable little studio was just the right size for me with a stunning view of the city skyline, which I LOVED, and all the insulation meant my room was warm in the winter and cool in the summer. I did perfectly well without the gated parking (although I know many people appreciate that) because there was always enough street parking around. Gosh, I could go on, but really I cannot emphasize just how perfect my two years at 2000 Riverside was. I would have gladly stayed longer were it not for a career-based move that took me back to CA. But all the wonderful memories will stay with me forever~! read more

I have been living in this tower Community for over 30 years and it is truly my home , over the years I have the pleasure of having a great relationship with the management team , the last few years have been exceptional. All of my needs have been meet beyond my expectations., from management to maintenance. And yes we are being improved with apartment renovations, but I understand it makes it a better community, and I have seen and been through a lot here over the years , but this is my home. I lived at the 2000 Riverside Apartments for a year. I would've stayed longer, but prices were increasing and I wanted to be within walking distance to VCU. Which the apartments aren't far from VCU at all, but I never wanted to walk across the bridge. And the prices were reasonable, but I'm currently just a college student and didn't need all the amenities the building has. The ladies in the office, the people at the front desk, and the maintenance men were always very friendly! I loved that they had a package pick up so that you never had to worry about your packages getting taken or delivered to the wrong apartment. The laundry room, room with computers and printers, freight elevator, pool, and rooftop patio were also some really great amenities. The front desk also doesn't allow people to go up to your apartment without calling you first or you telling them they're allowed up, which was pretty nice. I felt safe living there alone as a young female. The building is pet friendly too which was awesome. It was really nice living right across the street from the 22nd St. access point and being able to take my dog to the river every day. I loved that you're allowed to paint the walls, however if you're not planning on staying there for more than a year, I wouldn't bother painting. My neighbors were a bit loud and noisy at times, but that comes with living in any apartment. I also wish the parking spot prices for the gated lots were a little cheaper. The move out process was simple and painless. Although, I did spend a lot of time cleaning out the apartment and making it look nice. If you don't pay a security deposit when you move in, try to remember that so you don't count on getting that back when you move out like I did hah. Typical Richmond slum. Terribly small kitchens designed so poorly that the dishwasher opens in the cabinets, and showers are meant for people no taller than 6'3 tops. Looks decent from the outside, but shiesty inside. Black mold under the floor in the apartment I saw today even though they "fixed" it apparently. read more

I'm updating my review. It has definitely gone down hill. things are broken and the front desk is not helpful. When I bring it to their attention that the gate for the parking deck has been broken for weeks they just say. Oh, it's getting fixed. Loved it first...but..After living here for two years wanted to renew my list,but to my surpricse my rent went up to 1,299..and it's not even the top floor.Was trying to talk to office stuff,but...seems like they don't care and really want me out due to renovation.Im looking at the website right now , highest they have 1,299 with new appliances and higher floor (better view)..I just dont feel welcome here anymore. My kitchen appliances may worth some money at the antique store.I tried my best keep loving you,2000 Riverside .But you gave me no other option...literally...didn"t offer anything. No better location. Tenants are neighborly. Maintenance performs upon request. It is an older building, but this does not take away from it's positive. Staff constantly works to balance the needs of the tenants and the owner. The Staff keeps an open door policy, and has respect and friendliness towards the tenancy. read more

I've lived here a month and no issues so far, quick maintenance service. Some people who work the desk are really helpful and nice, some not so much. (So I only talk to the really nice ones) The laundromat is sufficient and not usually busy. I like that the doors lock at 6 I feel very safe in my apartment. Nice views -- extremely friendly front desk staff -- that is all I can say that is positive. The boiler system for heat and cooling only allows for one or the other. Before the turnover you either freeze or boil -- this is for about two weeks each season. The plumbing is old and quite often leaks. In their quest to gentrify the building prices have risen to the point of not worth it. Utilities were included prior to 2016 but then the management decided to go to a system called a "rub" basically it charges for square footage and number of people living in a unit rather individual usage. While not illegal completely wrong. To be fair they are renovating some units which gives the appearance of new -- basically these renovations are putting lipstick on a pig -- in other words still a very old building. Management does try and so does maintenance but they are trapped in having to justify what is being offered by Weinstein Properties. read more

was there visiting a friend these are pretty nice apartments. a small gym, a computer room/business center, free wifi in the very comfortably furnished and nicely decorated lobby, 24 hour front desk staff who all seem quite friendly and conscientious about their jobs, great views of the river and RVA from some of the upper floor apartments, and easy access to the running/hiking/mtn bikie trails along the river are some big pluses.. the building is a bit old, the elevators seem to frequently have maintenance issues so it seems to be common that one of them os not operational at a given time, since they are old i think it is difficult to get replacement parts like bearings for them.. immediate neighborhood seems fine. read more

Been living here for about 6 months and am incredibly happy. It truly feel like home here the staff is truly kind, considerate, and genuinely care for your needs. I have, a do, highly recommend living here. Every maintenance issue is taken care of within 24 hours without complaints and the issues are fixed the right way every time! Our favorite maintenance man is Daniel, I asked to have my porch painted thinking I would probably have to fight for it, if you have lived in apartments before you know what I am taking about. Not only did they do I without question, it was done by Daniel way above and beyond my expectations. The office staff are respectful and professional. The Jen's my wife and I lovingly call them. Jennifer and Jen are VERY friendly and helpful, we love them. Please at least come by and check this place out in your search for a place to live, it's will be worth your time and money! read more

2000 Riverside is a good place to live. The people are friendly and they try to have a community atmosphere. I lived there for approx 8 months and my biggest complaint is you have no control over the heat and a/c during those months of transition, i.e. fall and spring. Although it will be 40 degrees outside you have to wait until the "magic" moment when the heat comes on. Then I was told space heaters aren't that expensive and they loaned out all the ones that were available. That really sucks. So even though they get the benefit of no utilities being run my rent (which includes utilities) remains the same. Not looking forward to summer inside. At least there is a nice a pool if it gets to hot. read more

I moved in last July and have been happy with my apartment. The 1 bedroom is a perfect size! I like to cook and have enough space to move around the kitchen and enough cabinets to store what I need. Haven't had any issues with the appliances (my microwave was brand new). The view is great, the staff is attentive and friendly, and maintenance is fast. I love their business center because it's open 24 hours and I can print my reports. The laundry center is nice but could use more machines. Overall I enjoy living here and would recommend it to a friend. read more

I could not imagine living in a friendlier community. From the leasing staff to the maintenance team, everybody who works here goes above and beyond to ensure the residents are happy. Issues are resolved in an efficient and timely manner. The staff even keeps us posted about things happening in Richmond so we can plan accordingly. For example, they have given us detailed information about road closings nearby the complex for the upcoming bicycle race. In my opinion, the worst problem with this particular community is parking, especially during the summer when everyone is at the river. Gated parking is offered for an additional fee; however I usually just park a block or two away. The building is old, but it has been maintained beautifully. Overall, I have been here for going on two years, and would not change a thing. read more
