Let me start this off with saying, this move was supposed to be a extremely good move for myself…read moreand my family, upon arrival it was a absolute struggle to get someone on the phone, or to come by and someone be in office, the moving process was all over the place, and it was extremely hetic. Mid october of 2023 we started our move into our apartment in Glencarin court, first month was good we had alot going on but as we settled in, the problems started, people complaining about my children playing outside, and myself or my other half for being loud, (im deaf in one ear) communication was attempted with property manger Brian, as he stated, "we don't get involved in tenant to tenant problems, and suggested i call the police. So 3 police visits later to myself they also couldnt do anything, besides show up and unsettle not just my children but myself as well. December we fell behind on rent, (christmas) $650 was paid doing what we could. We didnt recieve a 5 day pay or quit in December, but recived one in January and had a court date by the end of January, suprise surpise, didnt find that out till i went to pay more rent, while in this meeting with Brian I was also instructed to allow my children to play on main entrance roads at the back so that drivers could see them (CPS said absolutely not) or to take them to the tennis court if they wanted to ride bikes. In which non of these options are suitable. I then went above Brians head to Meghan who at first seemed to be understanding of the situation that they placed my family in, due to being behind in rent i was told "we wont do anything until rent is caught up, i asked if there was a way out of the lease and was told no not without penalties. Mind you we paid nearly $4,000 to even get in here, so $2,800 was paid in 3 weeks, being christmas, just totalling my car the day before moving, and my dog needing surgery the day of this move and my other half getting into a accident headed back to work which by the way hes outta state working, we applied for assistance got denied. We applied again got denied again. Dryers and washers are on site but dryers where out and noone of main office was aware so $20 later maintaince was up there and told us there was no more gas, after about a month of no dryers, a email went out that they would be looking into crediting accounts for having to leave site for laundry, if we provided receipts (laundrymats dont give receipts), also trash service stopped showing up and Brian sent out an email asking that residents walk there trash to a empty dumpster. So I find out 3 months in that i have been placed in a section that has a women, that just "doesn't like children" mind you see has ran two other familes out of here with these antics. There is a women in glencarin court, that also filed a false report to police of neglect, (it was actually driver error, this lady claims to have almost hit one of my children and that was then forwarded over to CPS. cps shows up on my sons birthday, which was then a unfounded case, and CPS worker was mind blown as to how we actually are expected to live and how much we pay to be here, (i dont even know why im here) is what the case worker said. Adults taking pictures and videos of my children, in which the Brian actually influenced this behavior of tenants but then refused to get involved when it became a problem. Brian and Meghan both have told my family in a sence that we will have to pack up our family and move on the property and pay 50 more dollars which would put us at 2,000 monthly, or we would have to accept being attacked every time we get loud or allow the children to play outside and when i tell you this place isnt worth that i mean it, baseboards are crumbling apart, cant hang curtain rods because the wall falls apart from being patched up, the carpet that they expect 5 years on is already unraveling at 4 months, bathroom floor had to be replaced because there was SO much rotted wood underneath, windows leak air SO bad (i have wrapped the windows), backdoor didnt lock first night here, and all they did was screw the plate back in until i raised enough hell to get one piece replaced. There are no lights in the apartment you have bathroom lights and a ceiling fan in the living room and front and back porch, no bedroom lights but light switchs, and one last thing if you think your company will get to park near your apartment think again, the tenants are allowed to rotate there vehicles around to keep these "FREE" OR "GUEST" parking spots to themselves. This apartment complex is nothing short of a disappointment. Have other options go with thoose first this place is a last resort. As my last conversation with Meghan wasnt a good one, I was given the opportunity to be released from my lease with 60 days and no penalties, after they thought we werent gonna catch up the rent. -10/10

"Renovated" is apparently slang for threadbare carpets, chipped and damaged appliances, and walls.scarred with nicks and holes over which chimpanzees with spray cans have apparently attempted to paint . One overworked maintennce man tries his best-- but his best isn't very good. Meanwhile, the onsite management bring a combination of surliness and incompetence to their job performance that would be the envy of any DMV. The tenants are pleasant, and the location is prrime, but the new regime under TSB Management (which handles mozt rentals in Hanover, so beware) make the experience of living at Charter Creek a net negative. The exteriors are attractive (if you don't look too closely) and the showroom-quality clubhouse is a knockout (spoiler: it's literally for show; the actual tenants are discouraged from using it). And don't expect the apartment they'll show you to remotely resemble the one they'll actually rent to you. I rode out my year and left. Hard pass.

There have been some new hires that simply like to harass the guests and tenants here. For example, I was ban from the gym for "slamming weights" and harassed with multiple emails and signs when I can ensure you after 10+ years of lifting weights I do NOT slam weights and use the equipment as intended. I was approached with a rude attitude and when I attempted to explain myself I was met with the same disrespect and lack of understanding from the property manger. Also, how convenient that all my registered papers just have "gone missing" the same day as well. Rotten to the core.. no apology... nothing but rudeness. There are even cameras to show that I am using the equipment correctly but they refuse to hear me out. Tenants have had similar issues and discomfort using the pool and amenities here. Ruined by poor management. stay away.

We had multiple offers and sold quickly. Buying was slightly more difficult. We had sometimes less than 15 minutes to make a life long decision! We saw many properties and got beat out by all cash offers, over asking with waived inspections. With the clock ticking, and us needing to move, we finally found the perfect home! Lindy guided us into making a well thought out offer, that was accepted immediately. She did all of this while in the middle of a pandemic and while dealing with me being pregnant! She is a saint! We will forever be grateful for the care, kindness and patience she showed my family. Thank you, Lindy!

My wife found Caring Transitions by googling on "Senior Downsizing." A couple of days later Ms Dani Washington, a stunningly resourceful young woman who is the proprietor, came by, surveyed our situation, said "We can handle this," and gave us an estimate. Within a very short time her crew arranged for an on-line auction of approximately 80% of our possessions, brought in contractors to empty out our attic, and remove the dilapidated shed in the back yard. Meanwhile, through her connections Ms Washington lined us up with an absolutely ace realtor (Sheilah Augustine, who got us an offer on our house less than two weeks after listing), found a moving company who could promise next-day delivery of our remaining possessions, arranged for the local Caring Transitions office at our destination to supervise the setting up the new apartment, and even arranged to have one of our two vehicles transported for us. Less that three months after we decided to make the move, we were all settled in and our house was sold. I should mention that while all of this was taking place, my wife had a major health crisis that required a several-week hospital stay, and all of society came to a screeching halt because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, Ms Washington and Caring Transitions carried on cheerfully and efficiently, handling every complication the moment it came up, so that for us this major life transition was made as painless and worry-free as it could possibly be. Many of us Boomers are having to do what we just did. For all who are facing the prospect of downsizing and relocating, I recommend Caring Transitions highly.
