I went in on January 18th, in order to get my eyes checked, knowing I had changes in my vision and would therefore need a new glasses and contact lenses prescription. Fro assisted me and I'm honestly so glad that my appointment was this day. I've never had a seamless appointment before. Even the provider, Dr. Nguyen was super helpful - quick and to the point. I was honestly really stressed with having an appointment during the time of COVID and with Omnicron being in the middle of a surge. However, with the cleaning in between services and guests, Fro really made me feel safe and comfortable. I've never had such a great experience with any providers before but now, I've recommended my co-workers, friends and family to this exact location - specifically because of Fro and Dr. Nguyen. read more

Laveena is the best! Yes, I'm one of those... a procrastinator who waits until the very end of the year to see the eye doc and buy my glasses to make sure I max out on my VSP claims. Well, I managed to book an appointment at 20/20 NOW and was lucky that Laveena was the technician that days. PROs - Laveena is the best! She has great "bedside manners" and handled the crowds like a champ. - The appointments were only running about 10 minutes late, which is a miracle considering how busy it was. - The appointment was easy to make online. CONS - I didn't receive an appointment confirmation after signing up and couldn't be sure that my appointment was actually booked. - The remote optometrist (Dr. Pham?) was rushed and didn't do a good job figuring out my prescription. His prescription for my right eye was way off so he used the one that was from my previous prescription. He was also rude (condescending) and impatient with Laveena. Was NOT impressed. So, 5 stars for the in-person experience with Laveena and easy online booking system, but 3 stars for the remote optometrist experience and lack of follow-up after the appointment was booked. read more

First time trying 20/20 Now, and it was a quick and easy process. The exam maybe took 20-30min, and I got my prescription around 15min later (would have received it sooner if everyone could stop bombarding the techician at the same time). My only issue is when you make an online appointment it doesn't make it clear how to also have the exam for contacts. Luckily the technician was able to schedule me a separate appointment for that on another day. 20/20 Now if you're reading this, fix your website. 2/12/2019 Update: Did the contact exam and I think they did a better and more thorough job than Wal-Mart optometry. The malls have finally opened up and J!NS over at Valley Fair is taking appointments. I will no longer have to deal with my broken glasses! So I head on over, pick my frames, then head over to the Eye Exam area for the eye exam. Stephanie, the Opthamlic Assistant (more like Dr in the making) was super nice, helpful, and knowledgeable! She's also being very clean, wiping down machines, wearing her mask and gloves ensuring the health of everyone is good during these times of civid. The 1st half of the process was like how "normal" Eye exams go. Blinking lights clicking game, blurry to sharp house game, etc. Then you sit in the procedure chair and the fun starts. A technician (who is remote) dials in and appears on a screen. Whoa. Vance is mine tech for the day and he introduces himself and then proceeds to go through all the lenses, doing all the "1 or 2, is this better or that better?" deal. All remote. Pretty frikken cool. Oh and much like Stephanie, Vance is super cool and we go through the whole thing having fun. Once Vance is done with his part, the Dr. then dials in (Dr. Baker) and proceeds with the final part of the exam-checking all the photos and making sure my eye health is good. (She's reviewing all the photos of my eyes that Stephanie took earlier and uploaded to their eye exam "cloud". Overall this was a great experience! Arrived at 5:50 for a 6:20 appointment. Was seen at 6:45. By the time the exam was done there were no "doctors" in their online chatroom to sign my prescription (7:20). They also wouldn't be able to make my glasses in the promised 30 minutes, which was the entire reason I was willing to go to a place that doesn't take insurance in the first place. I specifically called ahead to make sure this wouldn't be a problem. I should've gone to Lens Crafters. THAT is how much I hate JINS. I had an emergency as I'm leaving the next day, and I'm going to be driving with broken glasses because they wasted my time. read more

Got the wrong prescription from here. Doctor removed my astigmatism from previous prescription and prescribed glasses without the astigmatism adjustment that make me sick and dizzy. They're not able to get me a re-check for two days, and good luck getting ahold of customer service. They don't often pick up, and when I tried calling the store during business hours, the phone would ring once and hang up. I finally came in person with an appointment for JINS, and spoke to Dana in person, who wasn't able to help me beyond giving me a re-check appointment. She didn't talk to anyone else or try to assist in any other way, and she seemed pretty unaffected by the fact that I couldn't see properly. They don't seem to have any time set aside for emergency replacements or exams. I have used this place a few times before and never had prescription issues, and I love the convenience of being able to pick out frames immediately afterwards from JINS, but going forward I think I'll go to a different optometrist and bring my prescription to JINS instead. JINS staff is great, by the way, have never had any issues with them. read more

This is not my first time getting an eye exam here at 20/20 Vision at Valley Fair. I even got my daughter and husband to come and get their eye exams here as well. Not only because it is VERY affordable, the equipments, the cleanliness and sanitation protocols, the appointment system with multiple curtesy reminders, the instant video conference with an on-call doctor through their telehealth system, etc etc... What makes my experience so amazing is the professionalism and friendliness provided by the onsite technicians. I met with Amber last year, she explained the whole process every step of the way, helping me to understand what each machinery does as well as explaining the results in details. She went above and beyond into assisting me and was so patient in answering all of my questions afterwards. I was honestly a bit sad to learn that she's no longer working there. But then, I met with Balpreet this year and only to realize he is just as amazing. He is definitely very knowledgeable, friendly, professional, patient and detailed oriented. I came here to check out my eyes. I didn't make an appoint so I was worried whether I had to wait or come some other time yet they made a spot for me and I was able to get it today! Woohoo!! :) Mr. Balpreet helped me for the procedure. He is definitely over qualified for this job but he does it and does an excellent service and job. He is very friendly and easy to talk to as well as is very knowledgeable. About a year ago I came here to get a proscription and he still remembered me from the last year. He should be promoted for sure. If you are wondering where to go for your eye exam, I would highly recommend for you to come here. The cost of eye exam is very reasonable and satisfiable. Was browsing around for an eye exam place AND a quick turn around for a new pair of glasses since I had to go to the dmv the same day to renew my drivers license. Came here around 10:30. They are located inside JINS. I read that they can get your glasses done in 30 minutes. So I went in, looked around then went to the desk and asked if they accepted walk in and if they had an available slot. They did! The testing took about 15-30 minutes. I don't remember since it went by pretty fast. After the exam it took about 10 minutes to get my prescription and I already had chosen frames I wanted to buy. But I'll write a review for JINS after this. This has been a great experience. I will be coming back here next time I need an exam. read more

Amber was extremely helpful and knowledgeable during my first visit to 20/20. I walked in hoping to get checked in right away but they didn't have any openings for the day so she set me up with an appointment the following day! (I'd recommend calling ahead of time if you don't want to wait). She walked me through each step and explained every step of the process and what each test does and what she was looking for in my eyes. It really only took less than 20 minutes to get my new prescription and afterwards my new pair of glasses! read more

Came here for an eye exam, and was hoping to look for some glasses as well. When I arrived for my appointment I had to remove my contacts then fill out the form needed. I quickly entered the exam room after to start all the testing and such. Prior to the exam I was told the official optometrist would be able to do the final examination and they were the only one that has access to a certain machine. The assistant, or the girl at Jins (sorry I forgot her name!!) helped out a lot with the first parts examination and explained throughly with what she was doing. However, there was a delay on waiting for the optometrist and I sat there for quite a while. Finally, a woman was on the screen and she started talked however I thought she was talking to the other girl until she abruptly said "ms. --, can you hear me?" I was thinking ok, it was just me. Then a little bit into the test the screen cut off so I wasn't sure if the connection was lost until she responded again with "ms. --, did you hear what I said? Can you read the letters?" Then the assistant and I said the screen got cut off so we thought it was disconnected. I felt like she sounded really impatient and rushed with me (even though there was a really long delay for waiting on her) and it was weird to me that they didn't actually have a doctor on site to do the exam. When I got my prescription, it turned out a bit higher than I thought it would. I started thinking that's pretty weird, then I had to go find another location to get my contact prescribe since I didn't have time to do it here, and it turns out my prescription wasn't as bad as what this optometrist prescribed it to be.. first I felt like the service was rushed and delayed then I had a higher prescription..even though the price of the exam (at $65) itself isn't bad I rather go somewhere else to do it. I felt the other company should check in on having available optometrist available during an appointment time? I ended up not even having enough time to check out the glasses since I had someone waiting for me. read more

I came to 20/20 Vision yesterday to have an eye exam again just to know if there are any differences/changes in my eyes since my last appointment here 2 years ago. Doctor Balpreet is very accommodating and very informative - he himself disinfects the equipment every after patient. The whole process was very smooth as he informed me of every part of the eye exam, the equipment that will be used, what all of them are for and instructed me where to look and what to do. He and Dr Gillian (who was remote) were able to explain to me the results of my eye exam very clearly. Both of them were truly kind and good in answering my other questions. Overall, everything was commendable. BTW, the equipment are very hi-tech and in wonderful condition! I was warned that weekdays were pretty busy, but Balpreet was able to see my and my friend around the same time. I went in for a basic eye exam, and I'm not terribly comfortable with people messing with my eyes, but he was very funny and explained exactly what he was going to do and why he was doing it. My vision wasn't too bad from my previous prescription but his new one for me was definitely better. This was probably one of the most pleasant visits I've had for any eye exam. I wont need to be coming back for a while, but hopefully when I do I get th same care I got today. read more

Balpreet was really great with me today! I was a walk-in for Jins and didn't have my prescription handy. The woman let us know we can get our eye exam here if they had any open appointments. I was in line when Balpreet let us know they were all booked for today but a patient was running late to her appointment. He told us if she didn't show up he'd take me in right then. Lucky for us, she didn't show up and my eye exam was so quick and easy! He did a great job explaining all the machines, what they were checking, and comparing my new prescription to my old glasses. I went in for my eyes exam and luckily they has 2 spots open for me and my bf. We both got helped from doctor Balpreet since check-in until very last minute. I likes how he explains everything clearly and make my experience 100 times better than other places. The technology they using are very modern and quick. Even though the process was long because he take his time, but I feel so quick still (if that make any sense). They even call in another doctor/specialist to chat with me through facetime when they suspect some unusual redness in my eyes. Which are cause by my allergies, but they still gave me a doctor note just in case the redness won't go away. My 12 year old son went in for an eye exam. This was our first time here. The technician Stephanie was thorough and methodical with the eye exam. She worked well with my son explaining everything step by step. My son was very comfortable with her. Vance the technician joined the exam via zoom. He was also excellent with my son. Finally, Dr. Neighbor joined via zoom. All 3 should work in pediatrics! They were excellent with my son and made the exam process fun and not intimidating what so ever. They explained things to him. Its great to have medical professionals interact so easily with my son. This is a great staff. I was pleasantly surprised at how thorough, knowledgeable and professional the staff is. They are better than his regular pediatric opththalmologist! read more

Stephanie was a wonderful technician! She greeted me before proceeding to the eye exam. The room was really clean, and she was extremely friendly. She was understanding when I couldn't keep my eyes straight for the pictures to be taken. Stephanie was extremely patient during the first part of the eye exam. In addition, she gave me suggestions on where to drive my mother for mother-daughter quality time! Melina, the second technician, did the second part of the eye exam where she adjusts the lenses and asks whether the first or second lens is better. Whenever I needed the lenses to be adjusted again, Melina was also patient and accommodating! She always asked whether I was comfortable, and if it was easy for me to read the letters. At the end of the exam, Dr. White talked to me about my results. I asked her a question about how glasses help my eyes see, and she explained it in a way in which I could understand really easily. She even drew a diagram to illustrate the process of glasses bending the light, so it could reach the back of the eye. She seems to have great knowledge in optometry, and she was also nice to talk to! Overall, I had an amazing experience and I would come again in two years to update my prescription! read more

Dr. Harshada was awesome. I came in inquiring about their service and how they worked because it was time for a new pair. I was having trouble seeing through my old lenses and eye exams, lenses and frames are so expensive! I asked her if I could make an appointment and she asked I was available then, I said yes and she took me right in, after they were getting ready to close. The appointment was quick and easy. She walked me though everything she was doing and made sure I was set on the lens she offered. She definitely made me feel comfortable. She had my prescription ready in less than 5min. I was then able to chose my glasses and have them ready the same day. I don't want to forget to mention that my exam was on $65 dollars and they can offer you a better deal with insurance. Thank you Dr. Harshada, I will only do my eye exams here from now on. No more stress when I think about a my renewal in two years. read more

The mall opened up again and I was finally able to schedule an over due eye exam! Making the appointment online was fairly easy and I was able to get one schedule within a week. Stephanie was the amazing technician that helped me throughout the exam! She made the check-in process a breeze and the room was very clean. I really appreciated how she explained what the machines were for and her patience (I tend to blink a lot during these exams). It did take awhile for Dr.Baker to get on the call to sign off on my prescription but chatting with Stephanie definitely helped make it seem shorter than it was. Thanks to Stephanie for being so friendly throughout the whole process! Jose was another technician that helped with the second part of the exam (going through the lenses). He joined through a zoom call and the whole thing go by quickly and efficiently! Jose actually made the lenses fun to go through instead of being embarrassed by how bad my eye sight has gotten. I also appreciate his patience when needing to refer back to previous lenses and he took the time to make sure that I was able to pick the best one for me. Got my prescription signed off by the doctor through another called once Jose finished. Ended up choosing two frames and another with the sunglasses attachment. I've been going to this Jins location since they first opened and it's the only place I go to whenever I need new glasses or an eye exam! Definitely recommend :) read more

Nice people, but incredibly slow moving. Currently writing this as my appointment is running close to 40 mins late. I question if someone is even working right now, besides the poor receptionist. For a business model which advertises expediency, this is a joke. Giving 3 stars for now, because outside of delays, my experience hasn't been terrible, but could easily see this going down to 1 star, assuming we go past the 60 min mark when it comes to delays, and the actual eye exam is sub par. read more

Walking in was a breeze specially I have time in my hands that day. I Suggest calling in for an appointment before going tho since it may get busy from time to time. Fortunately, while I was picking some frames at the Jins eyewear I was able to verify if they have any vacancy for a walk in and good thing i got a spot at 4:15pm. An hour available, I purchased the frames from Jins and killed time at the food court. My test took 45mins due to signing patient info plus the eye check up itself and paying of course. Everything went smooth. Though I wish they would have a better itemized receipt that I could get a copy of right at the shop for my insurance reimbursement. But other than that everything was great and the technician that assisted me was very informative and helpful! read more
