DO NOT USE EVERRR!!! We got totally scammed of almost $2,400.00 by Ray Brijmohan and his partner in crime, Rehman Saif.
In May of 2014, we hired Ray Brijmohan and Rehman Seif from 2Techs Co., whose office is located at 133 W 25th St, New York, NY 10001, to handle our IT needs, as IT Consultants. At that time, we were looking to replace our two old desktops and purchase a laptop for our office.
2Techs Co assured us they would obtain the computers at a good price through their "Dell rep" and pass the "savings" on to us. 2Techs detailed the required specs, including 8GB of memory for each new desktop, and ordered the computers from Dell. The computers were to be sent to our office, but somehow one ended up at the 2Techs office instead, and one at a different company, Brand Essence Hospitality, 411 W 14th St, Fl 4, New York, NY 10014. 2Techs told us that Dell made a mistake and shipped the computers to their office on 133 W 25th St, New York, NY 10001.
In the ensuing four months we received inappropriate equipment and horrendous service from 2Techs, and so in October, 2014 we hired a new technology-support company. Upon surveying our technology set-up, the new company discovered that the three computers 2Techs ordered for us from Dell were not what they said they were. Specifically, these computers:
- were refurbished when they were sold to us as NEW by 2Techs,
- had 4 GB of memory instead of 8 GB 2Techs told us they ordered (the laptop has 4GB as requested), and
- were registered to 2Techs, not Gargiulo + Partners, as owners.
2 Techs could not give us a straight answer as to why this happened: they repeatedly told us Dell made the mistake by shipping the wrong computers. I decided to call Dell and find out for myself.
On November 6, I called Dell and got the invoices from Dell which showed a huge discrepancy in price: we were overcharged by $2,262.22! Even new computers with 8GB would have been cheaper than the $1,523.88 we were charged for each desktop!
When we questioned Ray Brijmohan, we received the same answer: Dell had made the mistake and not only shipped the wrong computers to us but also to 10 other people! To verify my information, I called Dell again and of course, they did not make the mistake!
Dell confirmed other discrepancies, including:
- the shipping mistake was not Dell's mistake, as 2Techs maintained. 2Techs had said that Dell made a mistake and shipped them to their office (133 W 25th St, New York, NY 10001). The invoices prove otherwise: Ray ordered one desktop and one laptop to be shipped to 2Techs, and one desktop to be shipped to another business - Brand Essence Hospitality .
- the invoice date for tone of the desktop is from April 15, 2014 - prior to us hiring 2Techs!
When we hired new IT consultants, they contacted their rep at Dell, and discovered that the three computers were not in our name, but were registered under 2Techs Co. as owners.
