Where to start...it has been beyond a headache to deal with this company and its owner. Communication is not high on their agenda, they will communicate work will get completed at a certain point and seem very promising at the start of a project, but it will quickly go downhill from the moment they get paid the first instalment. Materials paid for never showed up to my house, and he left my garden as a complete safety hazard now for 3 months. Please ensure you lock in price with them in writing, prior to him starting the work or you will find yourself in a situation where the price will continue to increase and you are locked in, as the garden has already been taken apart by him. Please ensure you do you due diligence, reviews on Angi, Yelp, Yellow pages will show you he has done this to several other people where he took their money without doing the work. Sergio Mendoza is a dishonest person that nobody really should have to deal with, and should not trust him with any type of project at your house even as simple as maintenance, as he is not licensed to do any of it. I regret to do this review as negative because not all of it was, but very important reasons for hiring 2 Amigos turned out to be to my regret. I will not discuss all of the negative because it would make too long of a review, but my purpose for recreating my backyard was because I don't have time or ambition to WEED a big backyard. So when a good portion of the yard was to be graveled, they did not lay down any barrier between the dirt and gravel, so I am Still weeding a lot of WEEDS! I threw down 'Preen' twice and it's not a good solution. I don't like using poisons either, not to mention the ongoing cost of them. I should mention that I was told the project would take a month, but 6 months later when i needed everything done for my BD party, it was not completed. They let my project go for other work they acquired, I'm sure. I like Sergio, but he failed me in ways I was not expecting. I'm Pissed that I'm weeding my backyard NOW! read more

Man, where to start? Sergio honestly seems like a great guy, and the work his guys get around to performing is generally decent. However, after contracting with Sergio to perform in the neighborhood of $20k worth of work, not a single project was actually finished, after over a year. In addition to that, you will not be able to get a hold of Sergio, he simply won't answer his phone. Fortunately, he only collects half up front, so I'd estimate I'm only out 3 or 4 thousand, taking into account the work he did complete. I engaged Sergio and 2 Amigos in August of 2019, for reference, and my last conversation with him was in September 2020, during which he continued to offer his false promises. At this point, I'm just so fed up and frustrated. My advice is to avoid Sergio or 2 Amigos entirely. They are, at best, able to do a yard cleanup, any project more complex than that should be avoided. Save yourself a headache though, and just avoid entirely. To anyone considering using Sergio/2 Amigos, you can see my name on here, a google search should get you to my facebook. I contacted him on Wednesday, left a voicemail asking for a quote. He called back on Friday around 2pm and made an appointment for 6pm to do the quote. He arrived at 7:15pm without any call to let me know he was running late. We agreed on the price and said he would be here Saturday, today, between 12pm-2pm. I,again, called him at 2pm to ask what time he would be arriving. He said he would be here around 3:30pm. I, again, called at 4pm and he said he would be here at 4:15pm. I decided to cancel at 4:20pm due to me having to call and check in because he was so late. He didn't answer the phone so I just sent him a text message. At 4:30pm the workers showed up and I had to stop them. They called the guy who I had been talking to, I assume the manager/owner, and he offered to take off $50. I declined. He then texted me apologizing, for the first time, and offered to take off $100. It's not about the money, it's about the service. I'm self employed as well and calling the clients, not the other way around, to update them on arrival time is Key in running a successful business. If they're a new company and getting too many inquires and still need to work out the kinks then I would understand and I hope they fix these issues soon. I decided to see another company who had followed up after my inquiry immediately, showed up on time to do the quote and they even sent me a confirmation today for the service appt. read more

We LOVE 2 Amigos! We had 2 Amigos come out for a quote on sprinkler service and adding concrete to our yard. When I called, they were able to come to my home in less than 24 hours. Before I knew it, he had completely fixed our sprinkler (which we spent hours messing with before) and had a concrete quote ready within 5 minutes. He said the sprinkler service was FREE because it was too simple and he didn't feel right about charging us! Called to get an estimate from this company & Sergio came the same day. Once we had agreed on a price to redo the front walkway with travertine, Sergio & crew began work. The same day!! I was very impressed. After all work was done, (in about 4 days), we were not satisfied with how the walkway turned out. We spoke to Sergio & he was more than willing to adjust it & cut the travertine to our specifications. He never asked for additional money to fix work that had already been completed. Without going into every detail, let me just say that I've had Sergio out from the smallest of requests up to our latest adventure and have been extremely pleased with their work. They do it all and their only goal is to make the customer happy (very happy). I could reiterate just about every comment from everyone else on here. You won't be disappointed. In fact, if you're like me, you'll keep calling them back. If you want your pool filled in, they'll do it. If you want a pergola, they'll build it. Brick work (mine was amazing), pavers, sprinklers, regular lawn maintenance, rock water feature around your pool sealed, they do it. No request to small or large. I recently had two amigos redo my backyard. They were able to start right away and after two weeks my backyard was finished. The crew was very polite and cleaned up after themselves each day. I love my new backyard. A couple issues with their work , is they broke my porch swing when moving it. Sergio said he would order a part to fix it and then after I asked him about it he said he couldn't find the part so he would just buy me another swing. Its been a couple weeks and no swing yet. Also with the new sprinkler system Sergio was going over the instructions with me, I wanted to take notes but he assured me he would bring me a manual with instructions, to this day still don't have a manual. Its just frustrating I paid 9,000 and expect better business principals than that. Sergio is also hard to get a hold of, anytime I have called him I get his voicemail and he takes awhile to get back to me, but he sure comes around when he wants to get paid. I was looking for someone to clean my yard and have a monthly maintenance plan. I called Sergio and the next day we have them do the clean up. They were professional and the price included trimming of the trees including a palm and they took care of some bad sprinkles. Sergio has a few teams that try to cut corners if you're not keeping an eye on them & do a final check before they sneak off. They do some of the work, but definitely not all of it before they leave - hoping you won't notice. Additionally, he did piping for a sprinkler system around the house & did not pack the ground around it correctly so every time it rained, the entire ground sinks when you step on it. We asked him to fix it every time he came (once a month for a year), and it was never done. Also, his guys didn't install some of the sprinklers right, including one where they didn't put the washers on it so it has been leaking & causing damage by the house for almost a year now, and didn't find out until we got someone else because Sergio's people stopped showing up even when called, but wanted payment. Magically when we said we weren't going to pay for no-shows or work not done, they stopped by one last time to pull weeds and the cactus in our front yard died within a few days as well as sprinkler heads went missing. I recently bought my first home and I was asking people I came in contact with who they have to do their landscaping as my new home only had dirt and a couple overgrown trees . I got several numbers and called them all for estimates. I am on a strict budget due to my recent purchases and wanted to make sure I got the best deal and the most work done for what I could afford, after speaking with several companies I decided to hire 2 Amigo's Landscaping. Miguel was very patient with my numerous questions and explained to me my options with pavers, rock and plants etc. We made up a plan/ design for my yard it even included artificial turf and a few landscaping lights! I was pleased to know that since they do Everything I didn't need to hire another company for anything. Miguel and his crew showed up at my home every day. They were very pleasant and seemed to be working nonstop which apparently paid off since they finished a day and a half early. Sergio was very quick in coming out and giving a quote. It was definitely on the VERY high side, but since he was offering monthly service at a reasonable price, I agreed. His people did not do all the work they were supposed to do, so he had them come back and complete weed removal. There was some wood that I requested be taken out to the alley for disposal. Later realized - that was not done either. Then, I sent him a text and left multiple voice mails requesting the monthly service we verbally agreed upon. To this day I have had no response and have had to seek other services. Beware! Update - I finally got a hold of him - said it was technical issues that he was not getting my voicemails or texts. His crew came out again and completed the monthly service as requested. His crew came out two weeks later - not as we had a agreed upon. I sent him a text asking him what was going on. Had nice work done initially, cost $3300, with his word on warranty. Did fix a few issues over the next year or so. Then paid $350 for some repairs and maintenance. Thriving plants died within weeks and Sergio would not answer calls or return messages. Called from another phone # and he answered and came and gave another estimate but then never showed up to do the jobs or return calls again. He has gotten nearly $4000 from us for maybe 10 days work but still stays unreliable. Had to call another landscaper who gave a much cheaper estimate for more work. If you want to make numerous calls with no answer or return call and want to wait around to see if he will ever show up, call Sergio, he's your guy. read more
