I had high hopes with this day care. They underdelivered and over spoke of things they do. Gave me conflicting information. Don't really know how to deal with parents, the director, is point blank rude starts out as a sweet talker but can't take any negative feedback. They are understaffed. The good: clean, safe environment, newsletter to stay informed, everyone is nice and accommodating Needs to Improve: Consistency with daily sheets, having someone at the desk consistently to pay for tuition, bathroom/potty training standards (kids should be changed in the bathroom and hands washed by both the teacher and child or at least sanitzer) Recommendations: Don't allow teachers to work if they're sick, if so a face mask should be worn to prevent the spread of germs. There should be no t.v watching for infant and toddler rooms. The AAP guidelines suggest less than 1 hr of media for ages 2-6 and NONE for ages less than 2. These are things all daycare professionals should be aware of and build their curriculum around. Hire quality and energetic teachers who have the patience and energy to Care and Teach young children. It's not an easy job but the first 6 yrs of a child's life is vital to learning and habit forming. Parents want to feel secure in their decision to leave their most prized possession with strangers. Having high standards, consistency and a passion for teaching children should be a must. With a few improvements I believe this daycare would be much better. I ended up removing my child after a week. read more

When searching for my son's first school we visited 38 schools. Once I found this school I knew this is where I wanted Jayden to attend. I work from home so my son has literally been with me every single day, considering that it was increasingly difficult for me to part with him. Cleanliness: When you walk through the door it just smells very clean. I have never found dirt on the floor, toys thrown, etc. Diversity: One of the first things I looked for was a broad spectrum of races. The dolls present were wonderfully diverse and that was a HUGE plus for me! Care: There is no doubt in my mind that the director Miss R, Miss Vickie and Miss Hamidah are doing exactly what they were intended to do on this Earth. They are so caring and work diligently with the children. On the first day of school I remember walking out during drop off and breaking down in tears by my car because I was terrified, scared, sad, etc that my child would be in a stranger's care. By the second week I was pushing my son out the door along with my husband. I had gained so much trust from the staff! They are like extended family! Security: The finger print security that they have is impressive. The teachers know faces better than any detective I can think of. I called one day to ask about my son. I didn't provide my name or my son's as of yet on the call and before I could finish Ms R knew exactly who I was and my child. Impressive. Education: I consider my son a smart cookie, but Jayden is learning at an accelerated speed here. I remember after a few weeks he came home correcting me about authors, illustrators and explaining to me about "nocturnal bats" ... I remember just thinking, "Well ok then!" Communication: The director is very hands on. She cooks the food, drives the bus, she is on site 9 out of 10 times... just extremely visible! Between her and the teachers I have never had an issue with communication via e-mail or phone. They also over-communicate with scheduling (days off, early release, etc.) which I love! I reluctantly wrote this review with the thought, "hmm if I tell everyone about this secret gem then that limits my chances for my daughter getting in next year..." Haha! But they deserve it!!!! There is nothing good about this daycare. After searching for local centers that drop off and pick up from Elementary school, I found 1st Creative. My son is now in the first grade, but at the time of this incident he was in Kindergarten. On March 12th, 2018 an event occurred at this daycare that I cannot allow to happen to another parent. We are lucky that my son is still here with us. I dropped him off at his normal time, early in the morning, so that I could go to work. I also pick him up at the same time, every day, 4:45 PM. On this day, I entered the center, at my normal time, and my son was nowhere to be found. His backpack was not hanging in his cubby and I was told that they weren't sure if they had seen him. To put this into perspective, this daycare is not very large so there are not many rooms that a child can hide. We all looked in every room and bathroom, but he was nowhere to be found. I ran out to my car to grab my phone so I could call the Elementary school- thinking that maybe he was left there in error, even though I know that they would have called me directly if that was the case. As I am walking back inside from my car, I see my child with the DIRECTOR (who drives the bus to the schools) walking from the school bus into the facility. HE WAS LEFT ON THE SCHOOL BUS IN THE PARKING LOT! She proceeds to deny the that he was left on the bus, but his face was BLOOD red and he was half-awake. He had fallen asleep on the bus and was on it the entire time. The daycare returns from the Elementary school 3:30 PM. He was left asleep on the bus for over an hour! Thankfully, it was a cool day in March. I cannot bear imagine how this would have been different had it been a hot day in the middle of August. I left the center in complete shock. I called my mother and she proceeded to call the owner of the facility to get more information as to what happened. My mother, myself, my son, the director and the owner all decided to meet up at the facility later that evening to discuss the events of the day. The owner and the director begged me NOT to report the incident to the state. They were saying that it was a simple mistake. The director also stated that she didn't want to lose her job because of this one mistake. I told her that I will not report it to the state but that SHE must report it. I got home later that evening and the more I thought about it, the more anxious I became. I decided that I was going to call the local police to make sure this was properly recorded. I received a call on March 14th from the state stating that they were notified by the local police of the situation and that they had assigned a representative to the case who would be investigating the center. I did not hear anything from the state until April 25th. They advised that the case has been concluded, they agreed with my statements, and the center had been "addressed and handled". Now, here we are August 2018, the center is still open, the director is still employed (and driving the bus-I saw her on the road!) It just does not sit well with me. I want parents to be aware of this incident so they can place their child in this school knowing full well the events that occurred. I would not recommend this after school center. I would not send my child here. read more

Our daughter would come home crying most days and also started asking for "time out" while at home whenever we tried to redirect her from a behavior. For the amount of money you are paying to send your child here, we expected a kind, respectful environment but that is not what we experienced. Every report sent home had nothing but positives to say about our daughter. At pick up, we would often discuss the naps because she has mostly dropped her nap. Sometimes she would sleep and other times she wouldn't so we knew to put her to bed earlier that night. I followed their schedule on weekends and put her in her room for "nap time" at the same time as daycare but it was really her just playing quietly in her room, reading books in bed or singing. It was suggested that we find a food that would make her sleepy (guess what, there isn't one). Once we received a note saying that our daughter had a "hard time listening" when I asked for clarification I was berated by Harry, with pantomiming of how my kid had a tantrum the day before. I asked to take her home so that she would not cause a problem that day. Harry brought out my daughter along with everything in her cubby, I clarified I was not unenrolling her, just taking her for the day. Extremely unprofessional behavior. Later that week we had a parent teacher conference and we come to find out that our daughter was not napping (we were not surprised by this) but that she was disrupting the other kids in the room, crying loudly and waking the others up by running around the room. We were never informed about the other behaviors but were somehow expected to fix it. We asked for accommodations , can she go to another room, read books, color at a table and they were completely inflexible stating that is when their teachers need to take their breaks, clean and fill out the progress reports. We decided to look for a different daycare in the area and found a more suitable, caring group of folks that genuinely enjoy having our daughter. In the last 4 weeks we have not had any report of bad behaviors and we ask daily if there is anything going on. Our new daycare has flexibility around nap times and seems to be better equipped to accommodate a wide range of children and their individual behaviors

I started bringing my son to this daycare when his first daycare ended up being extremely bad, a little over 2 years ago. Since then my son has had nothing but positive experiences with this school. Bibi is the most wonderful and caring person I have ever met, and understanding as well! My son RUNS in the door and doesn't even say goodbye to me, when at his first school he would cling to my leg. He is about to turn 4 and they have helped him learn the entire alphabet (he can say it by himself), he knows how to sing so many nursery rhymes by himself, and he can count to over 50!!! This is mostly from him being in such a wonderful and positive environment, I would never take him anywhere else. He talks about his teachers and Miss Bibi so highly, and he even says he loves Miss Bibi whenever we talk about who he loves!!! I can't think of one negative thing that I could say about this school, and the teachers and staff running it. They are all amazing and I trust them with my sons early education, because of the leaps and bounds he has made since being transferred to them over 2 years ago. Please don't let the negative reviews stop you from trying this place out, they are absolute life savers, and the most wonderful people I've met. read more

Let me start by saying I fell in love with this place immediately! My son started in the infant room, now he's in the toddlers room. My son cried every day he went to the first childcare I had him in, so I hated taking him....I was paying the money, but every time a family member was off, I'd leave him home or take him to them where they were. I just hated having him there. He cried going in..during being there (I'd call and hear him)..cried when I got him. I cried. Here at 1st Creative Learning Academy Lilburn...it's just like family watching over him. Now, when I drop him off he's ready to stay...I pick him up, he still tries running back in to stay a little longer, lol! I love it! I don't worry about him while at work anymore. If he don't feel well they'll call. Another thing they do is food drives to help the less fortunate. Any question you have, it's always an answer. The family here is amazing!!!!! read more

I could not possibly say enough about this center. I am a first time mom and was incredibly nervous about putting my one and only in a daycare. You always worry that someone else wouldn't be able to take care of your child the way that you would want them to be taken care of. I am here to tell you that 1st Creative in Lilburn FAR exceeds my expectations. I have built up great relationships with Miss Rochelle, Miss Kelly, and Miss Ting. Every single day I pick her up, she has a smile on her face. That, to me, is worth its weight in gold. If you're on the fence about where to go, your search can end here. As a parent, one of the most stressful things in life is definitely finding "PROPER" childcare... 1st Creative is AMAZING. My son has been attending 1st Creative for a couple of years and is now enrolled into the Pre-K program. His teachers (Mrs. Vickie & Ms. Hamida) and the Director (Ms. Richelle) are absolutely wonderful! These women and I have an interpersonal relationship which abundantly decreases my mental stress. I am convinced that the women have a genuine interest in the children and their well-being. (We've grown to be like family). My son's class is diverse and the facility is clean. After searching for quality childcare in the Lilburn area, we stumbled across this little gem! Since I am a teacher myself, the educational aspect was important in addition to cleanliness, price and staff and this place gets 5 stars!!! The staff are so genuine and nurturing. I can honestly say that the staff is part of our family and we are part of theirs. Our girls love being there and I can honestly say I have never doubted the quality of care and education my girls receive. I couldn't ask for better piece of mind knowing they are taken care of while I'm at work. Cleanest childcare establishment I have ever seen. read more

I absolutely love this daycare for my son! He is a toddler and when we drop him off he just waves and says bye bye! He loves being there! He is learning so much and comes home just about everyday with a new word! They send pictures throughout the day and I am able to see him reading, singing and playing with his friends! The school is in a perfect location for my family. When I first went to visit everyone was so nice. They took me on a tour and I was very impressed with how the teachers were interacting with the children. I knew immediately this was the place for me. It's a beautiful school! read more

My daughter has been attending 1st Creative Learning Academy for 2 years and she really loves it. I am so happy and pleased with the teachers, staff, and Mrs. Bibi the owner for always providing the best quality services and care. Definitely the best school around town! read more

Clean, safe, and caring environment with professional staff who are warm and welcoming. This center has a wonderful Pre-K program and offers before and after care to school age children. Great hours for working parents...6am-7pm with a light supper in the evenings!!! read more
