The pre-K here is Georgia Funded and it's on a first come basis. So they set a date early in the year and you pretty much come by 7 or something to stand in line and hope you get a spot. They have a few different classrooms with different start times. You can request a certain time if it works better for you. So far my daughter has been there for a few weeks and she loves it. I ask her everyday what she thinks and she never has a bad thing to say. They learn different things on a weekly basis. We're only on week 3 so I can't really comment on the learning aspect. They have optional internet monitoring. You pay extra for it if you want it. It's not the best but it's cheap. You can't watch the video on a MAC or on a newer 64 bit computer so you better have an old one. Luckily my father had one. :) The video you see is in one corner of the room your child is in and that's all you get. But to be honest, its okay to check in every once in a while. In my opinion you shouldn't be glued to the video at home anyway. You should have a little trust.

Both Ms. Tammie and Ms. Lindsey go out of their way to ensure the children have fun while learning during their time at the center. They also bring in extra activities the children can engage in to nurture their creativity. I am constantly in awe of their patience as I have never seen them get flustered even with dealing with the rush of morning drop off, afternoon pick up and many children engaged in different activities. I have also witnessed them step in, when a staff member is out, to pick up the slack and make breakfast or snack for the children. They always ensure the children do not have any disruptions to their daily routines. The other kids in his class seemed happy and excited to be there, which said a lot. I was also thankful he got to experience introduced foods through their program. Unfortunately, my experience with the corporate side was really disappointing. After only two weeks of enrollment, corporate changed course on how my scholarship would be handled and came back asking me to cover costs that were supposed to be included. As a result, we were no longer able to continue at the school, right as my son was adjusting so well. It was frustrating to have things pulled out from under us so quickly, and it left me feeling like there's a real communication gap between corporate and the actual school directors when it comes to billing and scholarships. I'd recommend this location for the teachers and environment, but families relying on scholarship or financial assistance should ask a lot of questions upfront about how corporate handles those arrangements.

We can't say enough about her teacher Ms. Jasmine, Ms. Vivianne and Ms. Chris! They have done so much in the three months that our daughter has been going to school. One of the big attractions we saw was the curriculum they had even in the young toddlers room. Since this was our daughters first school, we wanted to make sure she had the right development and we found it here at Primrose. Another big perk was the healthy nutritional options that's already included and the way they communicate in their daily report how much they have eaten/drank throughout the day also gives us a clue as to what she likes and doesn't like. Compared to some of the other schools we saw in the area, they are a little higher, but I feel like it's definitely worth the investment and you won't be disappointed with their professionalism and the way they truly treat you as part of their family! It seems there are lots of staff who have been there for a long time. I really appreciate the caring culture of the preschool. The daycare is clean, organized, fun, and feels intimate (even though they have a lot of kids). My son has been in the infant classroom for 8 months. He started when he was 2 months old, and after meeting his teachers, Miss Jamie and Miss Hamida (who has also worked at Today's Kids for 18 years!), I was not nervous at all. The classroom is bright, spacious, safe, and homey. My baby has fun and his teachers are so loving. They have always been supportive of any specific feeding/sleeping/tummy-time schedule. The infant classroom has a maximum of 6 babies at any one time, so I found it to be a lot calmer than other daycare centers where the classroom had a maximum of 12-16 (albeit with more teachers). Drop-offs and Pick-ups are smooth and efficient. The entrance requires a key code to unlock the door, and a password-protected computer application is used to check in/out the child, and it is so easy. It takes about 10 seconds or less. The driveway has a loading zone, which is also super convenient. The front desk is always attended, and the people sitting at the desk know every family, so they call over to each classroom to request the teachers to start getting each child ready to go. For my baby, this usually means Miss Jamie will pack his bag with his bottles and his daily chart and give him one last diaper change.
