I'm sharing this not to be mean, but to help other parents who are trying to make the best choice…read morefor their child. My son went to Kids R Kids for a little over two years -- from the time he was a baby until he was 3 1/2. At first, everything seemed great. His teachers adored him, he loved going, and he had a little group of friends he grew up with as he moved from room to room. But things changed when he moved into his last classroom. Around this time, he was going through a lot -- a new teacher, a much larger class, starting potty training, and having to watch most of his close friends move on to another room right outside his own. It was a lot for a little boy to handle all at once. Instead of being given understanding and support, his struggles were treated like major behavior problems. We started getting constant phone calls about his "bad" behavior -- things like hitting or throwing chairs -- but when I spoke to his teacher, her version sounded much more like typical toddler behavior. Still, the administration's tone made me feel like I was failing as a mom and that my son was somehow broken. The final straw came when, after one especially hard day, they slid a brochure across the counter for an early intervention program for "special needs." I left in tears, feeling completely defeated. Out of desperation, I had a child psychologist observe him -- and she told us there was nothing wrong with our son. She even said it was wrong for the school to suggest such a program without us initiating it. It broke my heart to realize that instead of helping him through a tough transition, the administration had given up on him. We eventually withdrew him, and I'm so glad we did -- he's thriving now. I truly believe many of his teachers cared and did their best, but the administration completely failed us. They lacked the training, empathy, and communication needed to support my child when he needed it most. Our son deserved better. Every child does.

Beware if looking for before /aftercare for your child if they have an IEP or special needs. A few…read moreweeks ago, I called and explained to Brittany (enrollment coordinator ) that my child would attend the local elementary school in the special education program however I require before /aftercare due to my work. She explained that they have dealt with this type of situation before she asked that I send his IEP which I promptly sent within a couple business days. They then contacted me for a tour two days later . After taking time off to tour the facility and speaking with them several times. I received an email from Brittany stating that may not be able to accommodate my son. I called the next business day and Brittany basically stated that they could not accommodate my son after the director reviewed the IEP in detail. Honestly, it felt like they were passing bias on my child .I called and complained to the Director ( Ms. Chaz) about my experience as they could have told me this prior to wasting my time doing a tour (as they'd been sent the IEP prior) and stringing me along for nearly two weeks. It also put me in a position where I had to scramble to find alternative childcare. Ms. Chaz did state that they would be able to offer a 30 day trial and that I should have been offered this ( I was not offered this by Brittany ) . However, at that point, the experience turned me completely off and I decided not to place my child there . I am writing this review because people need to know about my experience and the stress it caused. I also hope that they will learn from this situation and treat future perspective parents better in the future as well as be more respectful to parents time . I could have made a bigger fuss as daycares are required to accommodate kid with special needs according to the ADA .

We have nothing but great things to say about Today's Kids of Suwanee!…read more This daycare is privately owned and operated, and the director, Miss Eva, has been there for 18 years. It seems there are lots of staff who have been there for a long time. I really appreciate the caring culture of the preschool. The daycare is clean, organized, fun, and feels intimate (even though they have a lot of kids). My son has been in the infant classroom for 8 months. He started when he was 2 months old, and after meeting his teachers, Miss Jamie and Miss Hamida (who has also worked at Today's Kids for 18 years!), I was not nervous at all. The classroom is bright, spacious, safe, and homey. My baby has fun and his teachers are so loving. They have always been supportive of any specific feeding/sleeping/tummy-time schedule. The infant classroom has a maximum of 6 babies at any one time, so I found it to be a lot calmer than other daycare centers where the classroom had a maximum of 12-16 (albeit with more teachers). Drop-offs and Pick-ups are smooth and efficient. The entrance requires a key code to unlock the door, and a password-protected computer application is used to check in/out the child, and it is so easy. It takes about 10 seconds or less. The driveway has a loading zone, which is also super convenient. The front desk is always attended, and the people sitting at the desk know every family, so they call over to each classroom to request the teachers to start getting each child ready to go. For my baby, this usually means Miss Jamie will pack his bag with his bottles and his daily chart and give him one last diaper change.

I then encountered Brittany (who stated she is the Director) which was very stand offish, unclear in communication, and aggressive. She thought holding admission information would prompt me to attend a tour due to her lack of hospitality and professionalism. I am not sure if this is the policy Alex and Kate have set, but as a business owner, I know how important transparency and communication is to my clients who invest in our business. I hope for the future, the Director and Franchisees work on a policy to provide transparency and open dialog with potential and existing clients. Holding any admission information is not the best way to promote your business or entice clients. I think the lack of professionalism, transparency, and unfriendly behavior is a turn off from moving forward with a tour or placing my children in Primrose's care. Thanks Brittany for your lack of professionalism and unfriendly behavior. Hopefully anyone calling in the future for admission information will have a better experience. PS tours are not convenient for families relocating, hence the call for admission information.
