My review is MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE and this is based on time i have actually spent here I went to Jam's for 2 weeks the first week I spent here was TERRIBLE, 1 the teachers were rude and ghetto. i am so inexperienced in this area (gymnastics/tumbling) so they weren't very patient, kind, or even taught me how to do anything instead they made me stand by a wall. 2 asked to use the bathroom and they were rude and made me wait until i almost peed myself. 3 the kids that go there are so rude and they pick on you so much.. i don't do gymnastics 4 the lunch is always cold and usually tastes extremely bad i hated coming here everyday and it wasn't fun at all and i'm so happy my mom unenrolled me. don't send you kids here if they don't do gymnastics or are over 7-10. they will have the same experience as me. read more

This is a review of Jams' summer camp and they barely deserve 1 star. This place is extremely ghetto and it is run by incompetent and ghetto staff. 1. The type of children who attend are unruly and not well behaved. They pick on other children, hit them, and threaten to spit on food. They also retaliate when told on and are a bad influence to well behaved children. Fortunately, my child kept me informed of all the things that went on while she was there so I was able to redirect her to appropriate behavior. 2. The coaches who work with the children and watch them, encourage foul behavior. My daughter told one of the coaches that another child hit her and the coach told her to hit them back. That's an immature adult who should not be watching children. They also play music around the kids that they should not be listening to and teach them things like twerking. 3. You can't ask the front desk anything. They don't know the answers and are therefore, not at all helpful. 4. Try calling and/ or emailing anyone. Good luck if you get through. 5. The lunch they serve is always cold or it's pizza. My child requested lunch from home, which I provided for her everyday. That is why other kids were picking on her...they wanted her lunch and were mad because she didn't give it to them. 6. The owner appears to try his best to remedy issues, but it's not enough because I see the behaviors continue. I do like that they take the children on field trips almost every week. Parent do have the pay for them, which is fine. However, one field trip was canceled twice because of weather. I requested to get a credit on my account for the cost of that field trip since my daughter was unable to attend and my request was denied. Instead, I was promised that the ticket for that field trip could still be used until the end of the year. Before sending your child here, I recommend searching for a much better option. The owner is very unprofessional. I called twice to asked questions about the schedule and the field trip arrival time. She said that she did not have time to answer questions. Yes, this place is inexpensive but the kids are just a number. When I expressed that I needed to know the field trip time because they were unorganized, she dismissed my daughter from the program and said that she didn't have time to have questions. She spoke with my husband in an attempt to "tell on me". They do not communicate effectively and have way too many kids. They are used to organized parents who ask questions. They are thriving only off of The caps program and do not wish to engage with parents who have other options . My husband walked in today at a boy/man yelling and screaming at the kids at the lawrenceville location when he picked my daughter up. This review won't hurt her business because they will always have parents who go because of the price but hopefully professional parents can stay away. Parents only go there because of how cheap it is. The academics consisted of nothing for My daughter yesterday except doing a worksheet with no instruction. They also threaten the kids with write ups and yell and scream. Avoid this place at all costs. Lots of teenage workers as well. I have my daughter enrolled in another camp already and I was automatically provided with a schedule. They don't do tours during hours because they don't want you to see what a hot mess the program is. I am an educator of 15 years and have never received such unprofessionalism. I LOVEEEE Mrs. Denise at Jams she makes sure my son is well taken care of while he is there. The rate for after school is not too expensive and they are open until 7pm. The kids learn tumbling, basketball and other activities. read more

I enjoy working at Jams. It has been great to be able to work with the kids there and learn from people Like John. His ability to calm the kids down when they are upset is amazing. I can actually count on my hand how many times I've actually heard him raise his voice which isn't many. I have adopted some of his techniques and use them in my classroom and they work. I love the skills they teach the children as well. read more

Their van was observed crossing over several lanes of traffic and almost hitting someone today. FULL OF CHILDREN. It could have been a catastrophe. But, upon calling Jams daycare, their voicemail is full and I haven't received a reply through email. The incident occurred at Lawrenceville Hwy and Friendship road. I almost want to call the media it upset me so bad. read more

I registered for the after school program for my middle schooler. He was to be picked up at 3:30 PM and the first day they were over 30 minutes late picking him up. Since they were already late I just said do not pick him up and I cancelled the service. Doesn't seem reliable to me! My child is still a child, but he is a middle schooler what about the little ones without cells phones to call and say I haven't been picked up yet! read more

Listen people my child has been with Jams athletics for approximately 4 years and I haven't had one issue... I love how they provide transportation from my child's school and assist with homework... My child also does competition cheer with them and they are amazing.... read more

The jams staff has been like family to my little ones. They have a place to get the energy out before & after school. The prices have always been reasonable with many applied discounts. My little one (5y/o)loves it! read more

Great place for kids to develop new skills while having a good time...and its affordable.

My daughter has been going to jams since she was 5 years old and she will be 7 on tomorrow, the staff is wonderful, and there after-school program is also as well. I never had any problems with my daughter attending the program. I would recommend Jams Athletic to anyone that needs wonderful care for their children. read more

My kids went to JAMS last summer and it was a horrible experience. First of all they draw you in because its a low weekly price, but what they don't tell you is that you still have to pay for everything else, t-shirts, snacks, field trips, etc. By the time you pay for everything it is just as pricey as the other summer camps. Then to make matters worst my kids were exposed to so much being there, other kids cursing, my 6 year old saying a bigger kid kicked him, they were just traumatized and hated that place. Then the staff id no better because they are all kids, either the owners kids or kids who formally went there. I am all about giving back to the community but give these people proper training on how to handle small children and not take the approach like the older kids are just babysitting. The final straw was that my 6 year old ended up with an infection in his eyes and ears that the doctor said can from being unsanitary. I get that its an athletic gym but make sure things are sanitary for small children. Overall its just wasn't my families cup of tea. Maybe take a visit before letting your kids go here. read more
