Wonderful childcare, with great people that work there and wonderful parents that attend the school.

My daughter is adopted and we literally had no time to plan for daycare. We got a call on a Monday…read morethat she was being born that night. Most places in Atlanta have LONG wait lists. I was told everywhere from 9 months to 1.5 years. Because we didn't have 7-9 months to plan for a baby coming, our options were limited. My daughter started going here when she was 7 weeks old and she went until she was 11 months when we moved to NYC. The teachers were really great and my daughter seemed to really like it and didn't seem adverse to going. We stayed in NY for a year and when we got back, we enrolled her again. She loves her teachers. She talks about them all the time. The people who work here seem to really care about the kids. I also like the fact that everyone who works there knows the kids names even if they aren't in that class (pre k teachers knowing 2 year olds). The place is really clean and that's also important. The price is also fairly economical (compared to a lot of other places I had talked to) which helps. They only seem to have waiting lists for Pre K, but for infants and toddlers, they have an extra room so if they need to open it up to fix the teacher/student ratio they do.

We have twins in the infant stage and they are doing great here. It was hard to find a daycare…read moreclose by that could get both boys in at the same time. Here they had no wait and the boys were able to start at a moments notice. The staff goes out of their way to help me bring the boys into the building in the morning and out to the car again when I pick them up. With the cold weather it's been so helpful and I appreciate them greatly. Not sure how many places would do that. The daycare thing is pretty new to us and leaving the boys for the first time was a bit nerve racking but now I know, with no doubt, that they are at one of the best Centers in town.

Love this place. Can't speak for all of the locations but the IVCC is awesome. From day 1, I felt…read morevery comfortable leaving my infant with them. Our teachers are awesome and everyone there (including other teachers and staff) know pretty much all the kids and are good to them. One morning, I went to drop of my son (now 10 months, but started attending at 3 months) and as soon as he saw one of the teachers, he immediately wanted to go to her. When I shared this story, one mother who was listening took a defensive view thinking that my son loves her more than me. My thoughts? I think it's great that he wants to go to her (and to the other teacher). If he DIDN'T want to go to them and cried about it, I would be concerned. Each afternoon, he gives staff up front smiles as well. I think this is the consensus based on a couple of the other parents. If you are looking for diversity (white, black, yellow, and whatever other color + all races + all ages + all income levels), this is the place for you. If you don't want that diversity and want standardized everything (income, race, etc.), then I don't recommend this place for you. They're NAEYC accredited and do an awesome job of keeping your child "on track" (give or take as I recognize that ALL Children are different and have their own timelines) in his/her development. They really work with each of the kids to encourage them in developing new skills. They have protocols for entering the classrooms to keep it clean, especially for infants. If you're interested, you better get on the ball and get your child on the wait list as soon as possible. My husband signed our son up 5 months in advance, I think. Do your research and wherever you go, get on the wait list. Currently, they have a long wait list for the infant class, I believe. The teachers and staff here are awesome! i would definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone. LOVE them!

This school is very terrible especially when it comes to education! They can't keep any teachers…read more Every week there was a different "teacher" in the class. The teachers DO NOT know how to talk to kids. Everyday I walk into my kids class the teacher was always on her phone. Then when this was someone new "like a teacher" in the class they did not greet you or even make their selves knowledgeable of who they were. They do not care about the kids in that. If a "teacher" don't show up they will out your child in another"teachers" class. Take my advice DONT SEND YOUR KID(S) THERE

This is our first year at Tree of Life, and we truly believe it is a "diamond in the rough." Not…read moreonly is the school more affordable than most early childcare providers (and certainly less costly than any other Montessori programs in the area which are known to be quite expensive), but the quality of education is top notch. Prior to enrolling here, our son attended a language immersion school. The first year, he had an amazing teacher and made great progress socially and academically. The next two years, however, he began to regress due to high teacher turnover, inconsistent instruction, and a 13:1 student-teacher ratio that wasn't conducive to much individualized attention. The 6:1 class size at Tree of Life has allowed my son to get lots of 1:1 time with his teacher. In addition, the mixed-age classroom, which is a staple of Montessori education, has provided my son with the chance to learn from older students. Moreover, the student-led, choice-based instructional approach, which is also a key feature in Montessori classrooms, has provided my son with ample opportunity to explore his interests while developing independence, confidence, fine motor skills, and intellectual curiosity. A mathematician and Montessori certified educator, Marla understands the stages of child development, and the value of high rigor and hands-on kinesthetic learning. Her classroom management style is firm but fair, and her guidance has informed some of the ways my wife and I support our son at home. Marla has a genuine appreciation for multi-cultural education. She regularly teaches about other cultural traditions like Holi, Kwanzaa, and the Chinese New Year, and invites special guests (including parents) to enrich the classroom experience by sharing their unique talents and traditions. Marla sends an update (both written and via FB group) on what was taught each week and what is forthcoming, is very responsive to email and text messages, and takes multiple measures to ensure her classroom is clean and safe (i.e., locked door, classroom cameras, optional masking, temperature checks, etc.) If an affordable Montessori education, in a small, in-home setting, with a highly skilled and caring teacher is an ideal learning environment for your child; and if an 8:30-4pm pickup works with your schedule, I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND Tree of Life Montessori. It's a wonderful place!

I picked this school mainly because it was so close to my work, but ended up loving the school. Marla is very serious about teaching, very responsible, and dependable and I can feel very comfortable leaving my daughter every morning. She has only up to 6 kids in her classroom and each child gets plenty of her attention. Only thing I did not like much about was the long nap time...she had a difficult time sleeping at night. A few years after we moved out of Atlanta, we visited the school because I had a conference. She welcomed my daughter for the week that I was staying in Atlanta and she loved being back in the school. The school has such a welcoming, warm environment and this school is my gold standard for preschools.

I found this place out of desperation due to my son's previous daycare losing my deposit and attempting to charge me another - while refusing to care for my son. Her staff members hold degrees and are very active with the children. I've never picked my son up and he was bored or a teacher was not paying attention to him. The only drawback is they keep the same schedule as the school system. So there's spring break, winter break etc which inconveniences me because I'm not from Atlanta and don't have family nearby to watch him during those times. However I do understand the staff needs a break as well so I manage. My job location recently changed so I was forced to withdraw him. Quite frankly, I'm upset she doesn't have another location. I honestly don't want my child to go anywhere else.

My child has had several different teachers within 3 months of attending. They constantly are asking for me to bring diapers and extra clothes when his items are there (scattered around the many classrooms). Finally they found his many packs of diapers and clothes. His name was constantly butchered by his many teachers and at such a young age, learning his name is imperative. Where's the care? Hands on?? Why is there not any way to reach someone at the physical facility? God forbid I leave my key card, I can not gain access to my child without being chastised. The turnover rate is outrageous. Let's not forget the positive covid tests ! No protocols whatsoever.

It is a Christian-based preschool in a Presbyterian Church - and they teach fundamental Christian values and lessons, but by no means ostracize those who are not. Their mission statement says that they "nurture the whole child in a fun and loving atmosphere; accepting his and her uniqueness and encouraging each child to develop his or her potential through new experiences including physical, emotional, social, cognitive and spiritual growth and exposure to the world around them." I believe that this is accomplished quite successfully. SPP is supervised by the Shallowford Presbyterian Church Session and administrated by the SPP Board of Directors. The Board oversees all the fundraising, diances and general direction of the preschool. The Board is a very active group comprised of church members and preschool parents. Teachers here are trained, certified, and many have their own young children enrolled as students here as well. And from what I've seen, the entire staff is respectful to each other and the children. They seem laid-back, flexible, happy, outgoing, and humor-filled. They are creative, truthful, helpful, and positive role models for young minds.
