I don't like writing negative reviews but I was treated poorly so I wanted to share. I called to make an appointment and was told it could be done in two weeks, they will call me in two weeks. They didn't, so I called back to see when they can come, and the receptionist says they are so busy, they can no longer come this week so next week on Thursday they can come. They will call me on Thursday morning. They didn't. I call them on Thursday morning to see what time and she said later in the afternoon, the owner will call to pin down a time. I got the call from the owner and he said he can't come because the job he's on will take too much time. He kindly offered to come on a Saturday morning, we decided 8am would be best. Great, I thought! Saturday 8am rolls by and he text me saying he can't come due to an emergency call in the night. I understood. Well, that was a month ago. I've received no follow-up call since then. The whole process was sloppy and I was treated rudely. read more

Absolute consummate professionals. Don and Josh are always available to help out. Big or small projects. We have had weekend issues, late night issues and they have always been there to help us without hesitation. I cannot thank them enough for the quality of their work and their time. Called twice already and spoke with Dawn. She said that because I had called on a Saturday afternoon (and they were about to close- which is fine since I called around 4:30pm) they could come by that Monday at around 4pm so I gave her my address (we also discussed what kind of service I needed for my automatic gate). On Monday I called a few minutes before 4pm (because I had left the gate closed so I needed to tell them to go in the house using a side door) and she said she had never set up an appointment (??). I told her I thought we did that otp on Saturday but she said we hadn't. She said that someone would call me back (this was last Monday!) and I'm still waiting for that phone call. I guess they have plenty of business and are not interested in new customers or business. Time to look for someone else! read more

This review is long over-due. I had Josh install a new garage door opener and it works like a charm. Our old garage door opener was so loud, that everyone in the neighborhood knew when we arrived or left, not failing to mention our dogs. We live in a gated community and found out who we used for our gate repairs and asked for a garage door opener quote. Josh was professional, and on time; both I greatly appreciate. The best part of this LIFTMASTER garage door opener is the silence! ;) Josh cleaned up his work area better than how he found it, also appreciated. read more

I am a small company that uses a 1 door access card reader. Well the day came that my system went caboat! After calling all around to find someone to help me, and being told unless we installed it, we wont fix it. My partner John, contacted !st class Access Control and from the start they were nothing but understanding and helpful. They only took 1 day to come out and help us and all is up and going again. you never know what to expect when dealing with a new company, none the less with technology, who is honest who is not, because its so easy to get taken. But I put my hand on a bible when I tell you, 1st Class Access Control is all that you read on the side of their truck. HONEST and GOOD service! Very nice people to work with! My electrical gate was acting up so I called a few companies to get estimates. Two of the companies wanted me to purchase a new system with a very high price ticket. Chuck from Ist class access control came out and fixed the problem with a very reasonable price. Chuck was very knowledgeable and experienced. I felt very comfortable with him and trusted him with the job. I was very happy with the technician and the company. I highly recommend chuck for any garage or gate work. read more

Couldn't be happier with this company. My crew accidentally damaged a customers gate while painting (on a Sunday of course ‍). Called these guys and they had a tech on site within 1 hour. He accessed the complicated problem, developed a solution and had it fixed in a few hours. Their prices were fair, techs were knowledgeable and courteous. Owner even called to follow up. About a year and a half ago, my HOA required us to replace our garage doors, and had contracted the work to be completed by 1st Class Access. After the issues experienced by my neighbors, and now myself, I felt compelled to write this review. A few days ago my garage door came into the down position followed by a big crash sound. After this, I was not able to get the door to operate at all, and the top panel was obviously bent and buckled. Due to work schedules, my husband and my father waited until the weekend to address the situation. What they found was shotty installation at best. The one end of the garage door opener was bolted thru just sheet rock, as the installers put their bolts to high to catch the header above the garage door. When this end of the opener finally pulled out due to improper installation, down it came damaging the top panel of my "new" garage door. Judging by other garage doors in my complex with similar exterior damage, I'm guessing I'm not the only one this happened to. I will never use this company again for this property, or any of my other properties. How can I, if they make these installation errors that end up costing additional money. read more

We built our house in Lake Balboa a year ago and the driveway gate machinery was installed by 1st Class. Our builder hired them. We had a problem with the gate not working properly a couple of months later, so I called them and they sent Josh out to take a look at the issue. We set an appt, and he was prompt, courteous, and really knew his stuff. He took care of everything quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately, the problem we had, continued after he left. So when I called Josh to let him know, it was like he placed me on the top of the his list, he came back and got things done. He switched out the machinery and everything has worked great ever since. That second time he came out, I hired him to install some remote key pads for our gate and also the garage door. He installed them quickly and professionally. We have had several conversations via text and phone over the year and it always surprised me how responsive he is to our needs. Just this week, our one key pad stopped working, so I contacted Josh and in seconds he got back to me. Turns out, the issue was that the battery needed to be changed. LOL. He didn't laugh and make me feel like an idiot. He very professionally suggested I check the battery. I did that and it works great. This guy is awesome and so is 1st Class Access Control. Highly recommend them. They take care of their customers long after they got paid. Outstanding service in this day and age is rare. Thanks! read more

I used them on a gate repair and garage door opener. They were the company the serviced the gate for the previous owner so I decided to use them. I couldn't have been happier. He came out, fixed the gate and garage, gave me new openers, etc. He didn't try to upsell me on new equipment. The price was reasonable. read more

Couldn't be happier. Have an older gate access system that a couple others told me was un-fixable. Josh and his partner showed up exactly at the scheduled time. He took a look and gave me the best and worst scenarios for troubleshooting. I was prepared for the worst, but was pleasantly surprised when they were able to identify the problem and get it working under the "best scenario" situation .
