I was told by a local that the food at 1925 Pubhouse was great, and I kind of didn't want to believe him. I mean, it's a restaurant that's attached to a Marriott hotel. How great can the food be, really? Um, pretty freaking great, actually. I got a fish sandwich, which was a long filet of battered and fried fish, served on an ultra-soft hoagie roll, with a little lettuce and tartar sauce inside. The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside, and flaky and soft on the inside. It's the type of thing that I didn't want to stop eating, because the combination of textures was just perfect. Handhelds are served with a side, and I chose the side Caesar salad. It was an OK Caesar, and it did its job to satisfy my CaeSal craving. It comes with red onions on top, which is a choice. The service here was great. The restaurant has a big bar in the middle, with TVs showing sports. The whole place is surrounded by windows, so you can see out into downtown Muncie. read more

I was looking for a great spot downtown to grab a bite to eat before heading back to Indianapolis after a night out, and the 1925 Pubhouse was a fantastic choice. From the hostess, who helped us move from outside inside when it was too cold, to our server, everything from start to finish was so great! I had a gift card from a friend so another friend and I went here and had cocktails and split nachos. My friend and I both had a cocktail off their new spring menu. I had the mango margarita and she had the basil strawberry mule. Both drinks were quality ingredients and definitely had a kick! The nachos were delicious, the beans were spicy, The chicken was juicy. The serving size was huge-definitely meant to be shared! The only thing I would change was add more queso to the nachos, but this was quickly fixed when i asked the waitress for some more said no problem and brought out a little dish of it, which was perfect. The 1925 Pubhouse is located inside downtown Muncie's Courtyard by Marriott. I'm a fan of this Courtyard and stay here any time I'm in the Muncie area. I stayed at the Courtyard two nights in a row during a recent fundraising trip to Muncie. Two nights in a row, I found myself really tired after a long day and decided to stay in-house and eat at 1925 Pubhouse. In most ways, this is your typical "pub" fare with some deviation. There's an extensive bar, burgers, appetizers, handhelds, salads, pastas, a kids menu, and a few more options. 1925 Pubhouse also has a location in Anderson - it does seem there's some menu variation between the two locations. I ordered burgers both times. One night I ordered cole slaw as a side, the other your usual fries. It's worth noting that accessibility is pretty strong here with parking options both across the street and in a lot behind the building. Parking is probably the weakest accessibility feature, though I still consider it good. The hotel itself is a teaching hotel for people with disabilities to enter the competitive workforce and, as such, accessibility is strong with automatic doors, easy options for seating (though there are some high-top seats at the bar), and employees who aren't freaked by disability (you'd be amazed how often I get stared at or weird comments). Both nights, I had good service here. Both nights, activities were going on - the first night, they had live entertainment (a soloist). The second night, trivia was going on. I'd say it was slightly stronger and more present the first night. However, I don't have any complaints for either night. I love the big windows, though downtown Muncie is still a work in progress in terms of having something cool to look at. The atmosphere is comfortable and appealing. I enjoyed just relaxing after a long day of wheeling and it was nice having a quality restaurant in the hotel where I was staying. 1925 Pubhouse offers drinks, catering, specials, and a rewards club. While this may not be the best place in Muncie, it's a wonderful addition to Courtyard and a great place to experience quality food and quality service. read more

Lively place. Nice music playing and friendly staff. Each person that I saw greeted me with a smile and a warm welcome. I couldn't decide between the fish and chips, ribeye, or smash burger. I decided I'd have the smash burger with onion rings. The rings in the picture looked like they had a nice batter and super crunchy. The batter wasn't the same as in the picture and they were not as crunchy as I hoped but I ate them all. I couldn't finish all the burger so I took it for a late night snack for the next day. The first time I tried to visit 1925 Pubhouse they were closed due to a power outage on the block. This time they were open. I went in and was seated at the bar because I wanted to get a to-go order and while I was waiting I had a cocktail. The bartender came around as soon as I got there and gave me a menu and gave me some time to take a look. I ordered the Pineapple Upsidedown Caketini for my cocktail, it was a blend of Malibu rum, Absolut vanilla vodka, pineapple juice and grenadine. I really liked this sweet cocktail. I placed an order for two tenderloins and an order of wings to go. While I waited they also had Bloody Mary's as the special for $5 so I ordered one a little spicy and I really liked it. The bartender was great and she made sure I had everything I needed before leaving with my to-go order. The food was good I will say that the tenderloin could have fried a little longer as it was very pale and so were the wings. Overall it was a good experience and I will stop packing again when I am in Muncie. read more

Great burgers! Meat cooked well and properly seasoned. All three of the different burgers we tried were outstanding. Side house salad was actually big and so very delish. Loved it! Eggs, radishes, croutons- yum! Drinks were awesome. Craft cocktails would be all I need... but I should be getting room at the courtyard for the night then. Our server was super nice- they were busy but our wait wasn't very long- the bar area turned over quickly- we could have even eaten there but chose to get a table. Bartenders were amazing too. (It's attached to the Marriott that's right downtown) Mom ordered the Mile High Carrot cake (eat dessert first!) and 10 piece boneless wing with ranch... I ordered the large house salad with salmon. Everything was fresh and tasty.. The salad was HUGE!! And Crisp And Fresh! And we divided it in half and there was still enough left for a third portion... My salmon was cooked great -- and mom said the boneless wings were fine... I think we found a new place to eat! read more

You can check back for my initial review of 1925, it was glowing. This one will be a little different. I'll start with the good. The burger was solid. Tasty and exactly as the menu described. No complaints. The restaurant looks nice. It's clean, p of TVs to look at, good selection of high top tables, regular seating and outdoor options. The service was fine. Nothing special, but it got the job done. The hot pretzel appetizer was not what I remembered it to be. The cheese was pretty good again, but the pretzel was typical frozen fare. How to describe the fries ... in a word, sad. I'm relatively certain they were frozen crinkle fries warmed up. Just kind of floppy not all that hot or crispy. Disappointing. Could easily get a better product about anywhere. A place like this needs to put significantly more effort into its fries. I ate a few, but stopped because they just weren't worth my time anymore. read more

We went on a Thursday night not expecting it to be as busy as it was. Several events in town, a concert across the street, a convention and a wedding party as well. In the restaurant they also had trivia night. So the noise level was about 80-90dB; it made it impossible to have a dinner conversation. Our meals arrived before our eating utensils. The fish and chips were delicious and crispy hot. The mashed potatoes with our dinner companion's chicken tenders came to the table warm, not hot, sent back and returned about the same temp.... So all in all we might chance this restaurant again but will do our homework with regard to local events. read more

This location is connected to the courtyard hotel. Very clean establishment. I know it is a "Pub." I still wish there were more booths available personally. Anyway. The staff here are great. They team up with each other to make sure your dining experience is great and you are not neglected. As for the food. The lemon pepper wings were cooked perfectly, with the right amount of crispness and seasoning. I was pleasantly surprised at how well my NY Strip was cooked. The cooked nailed my steaks temp and seasoning. There's not too many great food options in the area, but this is a solid choice you won't go wrong with. Over the last few years I have been coming to 1925 PubHouse from out of state while visiting family. The location is amazing if you are from out of town the hotel next door is so convenient. The food is good, always on point, they have gluten free options, etc. I always get a burger and also the beans and rice side is a must as are the mozzarella sticks for an appetizer! But most of all the service is always great, from the hosts, to the servers they know how to give great service. The biggest shout out to Noah, our server every time, he remembers us each time and is so genuine. We come back now both for the food and because we know Noah will remember us and give the best service without being to much or too little! 1925 PubHouse, youve got yourselves a wonderful employee in Noah and the rest of your staff are also pretty amazing too! They have a large bar area and outdoor patio. All of the meals and drinks we had were tasty and came with great service. Came here after my graduation at Ball State thinking it would be a nice place for my family and I to eat. Don't get me wrong, it was very busy, but servers and staff were inattentive. We waited 30 minutes for drinks and more than 30 mins after our meal ended to get our check. Food was okay, typical American-style food. Want terrible food and mediocre service? Look no further. We stopped here on our way home when we discovered the place we wanted to stop was 21 and up only. I'm not sure where to begin. The salad wasn't in great shape, my steak was medium well (ordered medium rare), they took it back and brought it out to me medium well yet again. Hey, at least they're consistent. Since everyone in my party had finished eating I declined the offer to attempt to make it a third time. When the bill came I noticed my steak was still there, and I am not one to complain about food, but I considered this an extenuating circumstance. I thought maybe they would maybe take at least 50% off, but what I got instead was a half-hearted apology from the server. I get it, and I hate to say it, but I asked to chat with the old manager. I really wanted to show her my steak, and she agreed it was overdone, but said it was their policy not to discount more than 10%, so she gave me $3 off. I'm not really sure what else to say. This place is terrible. Avoid at all costs. Terrible food. Terrible service. Just crossing my fingers none of us get food poisoning. UPDATE: I was making a joke, but my mom does have food poisoning. I can't say for sure she got it there, but it was the next day, and because we had gone down for the eclipse, we had prepackaged our lunch snacks which consisted of meat, crackers, and cheese. We enjoyed this local downtown restaurant. The location is prime next to Horizon Convention, Children's Museum, Cannon Commons and Walnut Street. We walked in on a Thursday night and had no wait for a table. There are probably 15 TVs here all playing games of all varieties. My husband wanted to watch a game on Prime and before it started they were already turning TVs. The food was good and the menu had quite a lot of variety. The shrimp was crispy and had a little kick at the end. I didn't love their version of Brussels, they needed cooked a little longer. The Peanut Butter pie was our waitresses recommendation.
