As a true millennial Gemini, I celebrate my birthday for the whole month, so I quickly texted my family and friends; this is where I wanted to go. What I love about Hush Hush is how it's encouraging and pushing folks to step out of their comfort zone in their attire and dress more to the vibes of this cocktail house (Think Soho, ABA, Casablanca, and Elephante). You're bound to see more desert tones, muted colors, flowy pants, basically anything resort wear. It's cool to see this cocktail house make you feel like you're not in El Paso. The music is different, more loungey, to where you can hear everyone at your table. Of course, there's still a DJ, but damn, Hush Hush is intentionally geared for those who love to go out but need top-shelf cocktails without the eye rolls or the bartenders staring at us with blank eyes. Hush Hush is a true game changer. The lines might get crazy, but I suggest getting there early so you can snag your photos and a solid table/spot. There are three main bar areas, but my fave was the velvet room. I suggest catching a drink on the second floor if you get there early enough to get an eagle eye's view of the establishment. Attention to detail was on point, and I appreciated the homework and research done before the opening of this spot. It's an elevated experience for the city and one I wish every city in the States had tbh.

I had been to their original location by the courthouse and this is a true 2.0 rebirth of the establishment. Now my fave thing to do at any spot is to ideally sit at the bar to get the full experience. What really stood out to me was the level of commercial kitchen equipment that ensured the kitchen smells and smoke didn't take over the place. It's all in the details. The staff here is super fun and engaging which made it all the better. My friend and I were served by Adam and their service with the food and drink program made it all the five-star experience one hopes to receive. If you're getting a drink or served by Adam then you're in for a delight. I had a zombie drink and the flavors were so well mixed that it was easy to forget how liquored up they were. This drink has a two drink maximum and lemme tell you, later that night it was clear why that is lol. I definitely had a good buzz flowing. My favorite part was the serving presentation which had the cinnamon sparks and flicks of fire. My friend was hungry and kept raving about the pork belly bowl and damn was she right. The pork belly was crispy and juicy with each bite. You can respect the aroma and fresh ingredients including green onions, pineapple, jalapenos, and fried garlic. You have to order one (maybe two) for the table. Take a look around and enjoy the vibes. It's an absolute must.

I had just come down from a Tom Lea gallery event upstairs and the restaurant was packed. I figured it was a long shot, but they still found a way to seat me. Service stayed friendly even with the rush, which I always notice. The burger was easily one of the best I've had in El Paso. Clearly handcrafted, cooked right, super juicy, really flavorful. What impressed me most was the bun actually held everything together instead of falling apart halfway through like most gourmet burgers do. At about $20, it felt justified. One thing worth noting, especially if you're into spirits: they have one of the largest tequila and mezcal collections around. Definitely a destination spot if that's your thing. I tried their carajillo but found out they add Baileys, which made it sweeter than I usually prefer. Not bad at all, just more dessert-leaning than my taste. Live music from Jordan Taylor was happening that night too, which made the whole atmosphere feel elevated without being stuffy. Because that first visit stuck with me, I went back recently to try their lunch special with a friend. For $26 you get an appetizer, entrée, sides, guacamole, tostadas, and dessert. It's honestly a great way to try a range of dishes without committing to just one plate. Funny enough, it doesn't look like a huge amount of food at first... but we were completely stuffed by the end, so kudos to them for balancing portions well while still giving variety. Standouts: * The octopus cocktail appetizer was excellent. Bright, fresh, good texture. * Carne asada was cooked exactly right. Tender but still had bite like a proper steak. * Mushroom components in several dishes were surprisingly flavorful. * Desserts were a highlight. The arroz con leche arancini especially. Crispy outside, creamy inside, not overly sweet. Very well done. Some things were more middle-of-the-road: * Salmon dish leaned bland, lots of texture but not much flavor. * Guacamole tasted a bit acidic. * Goat cheese in the enchiladas was subtle to the point of disappearing. * Corn and mashed potatoes were fine but nothing memorable. Timing was reasonable. Food came out in about 20 minutes, but with a full meal you'll want to plan roughly an hour to an hour and a half total if you're not rushing. One practical perk: they validate parking at the Plaza garage next door, which downtown absolutely needs more of. Overall, beautiful space, solid service, some really strong dishes, and a few that could use more punch. Still very much worth checking out, especially if you're downtown already or want a nicer but still relaxed lunch or dinner spot. All this while simultaneously forgetting the sauce for the salmon which also took another 10 min to bring out. The salmon was so dry it was tacky and stuck to your teeth. If you know the feeling you know it's bad. The rice that came underneath the salmon was crunchy and way undercooked. All while the waiter was like oh I can bring you free deserts for your wait all while I could only think about how I just wanted to leave. I was internally livid and exhausted but kept it to my self after seeing the owner or manager who we the guy with the white hair over at the bar enjoying a few alcoholic beverages meanwhile his restaurants service and waitstaff to the worst possible job they can. I saw the people who got the most attention and good service were all regulars sitting at the bar laughing it up with the manager/owner older guy. Why not make sure your restaurant is running smoothly and food is being delivered and prepared properly and stop trying to impress the regulars who most likely will show up either way. Any restaurant that is this unorganized and unmotivated is due to crappy management. All this and the waiter is like I'll comp you for the steak sandwich with a discount for the bad service and salmon which was a whopping $5. I don't want a discount I don't want free day old desserts I want good service and decent food. Discounts and free desserts will never fix the problem because it will always be a crutch for trashy customer service. How about stop drinking with the guests and whoop that staff into semi decent shape buy some high chairs and make sure your expo does a once over quality check on the food and time it takes to get to the table EVEN if that means stepping in and doing it yourself. The restaurant is dark the tables are sticky the whole place is very compact . Perfect and quite attractive after 5-6 wines for sure. I'm sure the food is outstanding after a few drinks as well . They gave us a $25 dollar gift card to return which if I could I'd give to the owner so he could experience the same horrible food and service we did. I wouldn't even give the gift card to someone I hated. This was one of the first times in a long time I didn't just let it slide because I understand all restaurants and people have bad days but this was exceptionally bad. If you are thinking it can't be that bad think again it absolutely can. The whole "I'm sorry we usually have awesome service and everyone loves our food it's probably just me and my family " is laughable . This isn't my first time here while visiting El Paso. The food is getting worse.

Jake was attentive and managing quite a bit around him but it was great to engage in convo with him and learn more about the bar. I had two hot dogs, priced at $1.50 and they were so good! Service was fast, reliable and it would be a place I'd come back to. Especially for karaoke on Friday nights!

It wasn't very crowded at all. It's a nice looking place. The drinks were very good! It would have been nice to have table service though. Then we went down to the lobby bar and it was pretty packed so we actually sat in some chairs in the lobby area as a staff member recommended. Of course there was no table service there either. But we had fun!

It has plenty of lounge chairs, tables, and heat lamps for the cooler winter months. Very spacious. Inside, there's a full bar and restrooms. Tons of room, big dance floor and DJ area. The bar and staff are great. We had a VIP table here for NYE. But it's not just for parties. You can visit here whenever. Often, we will have a celebration dinner of some sort at 1700 Steakhouse downstairs. One time, for Judez birthday, they not only provided us with a bottle of champagne, but then afterwards they escorted us upstairs (10th floor - El Mirardor), and gave us a free drink or two on the rooftop. It's a cool place and worth checking out from time to time!

I had a great time at the Overpour…read more Brian and Remi were very attentive and the place wasn't crowded. So, it was a great place to chill and hangout. There is room to sit at the bar, a high tops away from the bar, and outdoor seating - for the short fall and winter in El Paso. Also, though we didn't use it, there's a walk-in cigar smoke room and humidor. From the windows surrounding the smoke room, there were loungers and tables in there. It's a chill place that's clean with social and capable mixologists. I would return.
