We stayed in el paso for the night and stumbled across this hidden gem. We hadn't found a cigar lounge on our road trip yet and this was the first one. Met the owners and they were extremely welcoming.they had a really good selection and some cigars that my husband says were hard to find. We picked our cigars and headed upstairs where the wife is bartender she made me an old fashioned and we enjoyed our cigars and meeting new people that frequented this establishment. read more

Just east across N. Santa Fe Street from the baseball stadium where the El Paso Chihuahuas play (Southwest University Park) is the little locally owned cigar shop. It is well run with a nice selection of premium sticks. They also offer some drinks as well, adult beverages, so you have to be 21 to enter. The lounge area is stocked with comfortable leather chairs and the ambiance is wonderful with some mellow music playing softly. They do have some reserved parking spots in the back and in the pay lot next door but they are limited. I also visited their shop at the Fort Bliss PX, but no lounge, which is why I found myself here. The service here is first rate as well. I like to find good cigar shops when I travel and this one has been the top of the line in all aspects. When you find yourself in El Paso looking for a first rate cigar lounge, look no further. Really cool place to grab a cigar and a drink! The humidor is a good size and has a variety of cigars to choose from. There is a full bar upstairs with plenty of beer, wine, and liquor options. There's also a room with cards and games available to play while you're enjoying your drinks and cigars. We went around 8pm on a Friday and there were people there, but it wasn't too packed yet. We met the owners while we were there and they were really friendly and helpful! We'd definitely go back. read more

So I bought a cigar from the store on base and because they don't let you smoke inside. So I came to the one down town. My plan was to sip on some whisk and smoke a cigar but instead I was met with an employee telling me there is a $5.00 charge to smoke inside!! Love love love! You guys, this is such an awesome cigar lounge!! It is the only real indoor cigar lounge in el paso thus far and they are doing amazing at upholding that standard! It seemed daunting at first to even stay inside because of all the smoke and it hits you strong when you first walk in which is to be expected. However, they keep the place vented enough with open windows and what not so after awhile, especially upstairs, it gets easier to breathe, unlike a couple cigar lounges we experienced back in San Antonio. The employees here are super friendly and helpful, especially for someone like me who is all too new at all this. The atmosphere is also very comfty with big leather couches and lazy boys. Their bar mostly serves whiskey, about 60 different bottles or so, with a few selections of wine and beer. The bartender today was excellent and made me my first whiskey sour and manhattan. LOVE LOVE! If you've never had a whiskey sour in your life, DO IT HERE! The prices for them are up there of course, around 10$ or so but thats to be expected. Its a fun place to hang out. My husband and i just smoked a cigar, drank, talked, laughed, and they even had some games you can play. Great old classic songs they play too which just makes it all perfect. read more

Excellent selection of "not your average" cigars, superb selection of whiskey and a fantastic environment for good conversation with good people. You always have an option of how to spend money, and it's no different with cigar bars. There are lousy ones, and there are great ones. There's not much in between. Vitola's is a great cigar bar. The owner properly introduced himself to me, asked me if I needed any help picking out a cigar, and when I told him that I didn't, he left me alone. I purchased my cigar and he said I could sit downstairs in the lounge that seats about eight people, or I could sit outside on the front patio, or go upstairs where he also had a bar. I opted for upstairs; appropriate music was playing and the chairs were comfy with lots of space to stretch out. The bar had a great selection with probably 100 bottles. And for you ladies, the unisex bathrooms were clean! The owner came upstairs several times to make sure that everybody was doing well and offered to refill any drinks. This is a great, great cigar lounge and I highly recommend it. read more

This is a super cool cigar/whiskey bar. It feels exclusive but isn't. It has this prohibition speakeasy type vibe to it. They have something like 80 different whiskeys, some craft beers, and delicious mixed drinks. There are some board games and a poker set upstairs. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Very nice lounge in downtown El Paso adjacent to the minor league ballpark. Clean and comfy with beer and a huge whiskey/bourbon selection. Nice humidor but the selection could be a bit more extensive which is the only reason for a 4 star...worth a stop if you're in town. read more

I absolutely love this place! The drinks are top notch! My current favorite is the old fashioned with a rye whiskey. I've tried on several occasions to replicate it at home but can't come close. They have a great selection of cigars and are very knowledgeable about them. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful. I happened upon this place as I was touring downtown and I was really excited to check it out. It's a really nice place and it's obvious that a lot has gone into creating the ambiance in the shop. I know absolutely nothing about cigars but I love to learn new things and I was eager to see if I could learn a thing or two about cigars. It quickly became painfully obvious that the gentleman who attempted to help me and I were not on the same page. I wanted to buy a single cigar as a gift (which based on his reaction I gather might have been an odd request) and I asked for his recommendation. He responded by saying he couldn't make a recommendation without knowing what the person liked. I can understand that so I said, "he's not a big cigar smoker so I think anything you recommend would be great." He then asked for my budget and I asked what the range as I was willing to spend a good amount of money on something worthwhile. He responded, "anywhere from $4 to $35 per cigar, depending on what you buy." I responded, "how about something in the middle of the road, what would you recommend?" He again proceeded to explain that he couldn't make a recommendation without knowing anything about the person and said it would be a "shot in the dark." At this point, I could tell he was becoming annoyed so I made the decision to just leave instead. I live in Austin, and I constantly brag about how amazing my hometown, El Paso, is because of the friendly people and culture. Never did I imagine coming across an establishment where they would turn their nose up at my lack of knowledge of the product but maybe that's just me being naive. I assumed that purchasing a cigar was similar to purchasing wine, which boasts a wide range of quality and a million different flavor profiles, but I guess I was wrong in that assumption. I think what bothered me was that even a winery can make a recommendation with very little knowledge of the person it's for, why couldn't a cigar shop? This place seems really great and my rating is based on what I saw as a missed opportunity to gain a new customer by dropping some real cigar knowledge. So, if you are a cigar connoisseur, by all means please stop by this establishment as I'm sure you're the ideal customer, but if you are inexperienced and lack a general knowledge of cigars, steer clear as it seemed they have no interest in helping you start your cigar journey.
