I have been here many times and this place is wonderful for a gift for your boss or Army buddy. Many cigars are priced to fall within ethics guidelines- even a few of the Davidoff's. Then of course are the real nice gift boxes for dads, uncles, or your neighbor's husband who brings in your trash cans every week because you are still at work, or your UPS man who makes sure your packages are hidden from street view and will stay dry- hey, you have to say Thank You! They have a variety of accessories to include cutters, lighters, beautiful ashtrays and humidors. There is seating if you want to light up and sit and chat with pals. What a great surprise it was to find this shop! I'm a business traveler and always look for a shop or lounge to have a nice smoke at when I'm on the road. The Tobacco Tin was referred to me by a coworker that I was working with in Santa Teresa and the 2 of us met there Wednesday night before going to dinner. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by the gentleman behind the counter and he asked if he could be of assistance. Since I hadn't visited his humidor before I asked where a certain brand was located. He said that as soon as he rang up the customer he was with he would meet me in the humidor. The humidor is quite large for the size of the shop, has a VERY good selection of premium cigars, and a few brands I'd not heard of before. The employee came in and pointed me towards the Oliva that I was looking for, and then he answered quite a few questions I had about some brands I'd not heard of before. After paying for our cigars we sat down and smoked them inside the shop with the employee and a couple of regulars. We were treated like old friends and the conversation was great. I came back alone the next afternoon and experienced the same level of hospitality as before. I highly recommend this shop and kudos to Wyatt, he knows the products he sells! I should also mention that they have a great selection of cigar and pipe accessories as well. I visit a LOT of shops and lounges in my travels, and this shop puts most of them to shame when it comes to accessories. I look forward to visiting again on my next trip to EP. read more

What a great shop. Was headed to the area for something else and figured I'd stop in. I've seen this shop numerous times but never stopped in for whatever reason. First impression was that it is a nice shop. Went into the humidor and was really pleased with the selection. They have everything from the $3 cigars to $20 cigars and I'm sure even the higher priced ones. I've only been to a few cigar shops in town but this is the best so far. They offer a military discount, service was friendly and prices were good. I'll be coming back here. read more

It's been a while since I've visited but worthy of a review none the less. -The humidor is the LARGEST between Houston and Albuquerque, and maybe even Phoenix (450 sq ft.). -Tobacco tin is the ONLY place in between Austin and Phoenix where you can find the Opus X series and reasonably price given their rarity - Tony (The owner who takes an active and friendly role in the shop) is VERY knowledgable when it comes to searching for the right cigar for the right event, or even for the right mood; and quite possibly the benchmark of what it means to be an aficionado. He' also very knowledgable when it comes to pipe tobacco. -Tony was also friendly enough to help calibrate my humidor, and gave me great tricks, tips and advice to keep it maintained for my cigars. Do not visit the tobacco tin if you're looking for some joe-blow swisher sweets. read more

Very impressive selection, and one of the few stores I've seen that sell Davidoff cigars. Cigars were well maintained in the large walk-in humidor. Very nice, very large humidor. That said, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I visited once to pick up a few sticks and the older fellow who I assume owns the place seemed irritated by my questions. I bought 4 cigars and left. I decided to give him another try. Maybe he was just having an off day. Nope. On my second visit I was looking for 2 specific cigar brands, neither of which he stocked. His response- "it's just a name" and then starts randomly handing me sticks that I didn't ask for insisting that they were of equal quality to what I was looking for, I'm sure they were, but that's not the point. Pros- humidor is nice and he does stock a lot of things including many accessories. Cons- the customer service alone makes me not want to return. It's almost uncomfortable, as if he is doing you a favor by allowing you to be his customer. read more

I went in to buy some cigars for my husband around the end of September and there was a woman there I'm assuming the manager that was very rude and spent all her time on her cellphone so I left then I decided to try it again and went a second time and this time the shop was still very unorganized and I was having trouble finding what I was looking for but this time there was a young man working there I believe he said his name was tony was very knowledgeable and helpful and he helped me find the perfect cigars for my husband! From the moment I walked in he was helpful and tried to direct me in the direction for good cigars for my husband. Tobacco Tin on Mesa Hills is odd. For one, it is the finest cigar humidor I've ever seen offering everything from budget sticks to the rarest 30$ plus super premium smokes. The store also offers a wide selection of pipe and hookah tobacco as well as many smoking accessories. The owner, however, will make it difficult for you to return. If he finds out that you are a customer at any of the other cigar shops in El Paso he will make sure you know you are not welcome back. This is not what cigar culture is about. His paranoia of the other local businesses is appalling. Many of my cigar buddies have stories of being called "spies" and "thieves" for simply talking about the other cigar stores around the area. This is a shame, for with a more relaxed owner this could definitely be a world class store. read more
