    Homemade wine for evening appetizers
    Andrea B.

My husband and I stayed at this lovely little bed and breakfast for our 8th anniversary and it exceeded all of our expectations. Tony and Beth had several homemade treats for us throughout our whole stay: assorted homemade pastries, a colonial spirit (home made), a beautiful charcuterie plate and wine they made from scratch. The house was gorgeous with a roaring fire in the immaculately furnished parlor/dinning room. Our rooms were not only confortable, but beautifully furnished as well. I particularly appreciated the little writing desk stocked with cards and stationary. I came and went as we pleased. Tony and Beth had some excellent recommendations for the area and every place we went was perfect. In the morning we had a three course delicious breakfast served to us on plates that had the flowers for the 8 year anniversary (that is how much detailBeth and Tony put into making your stay magical). Upon leaving we were gifted with some delicious homemade brownies. We will definitely be coming back to the Emerson house for the hospitality and the affordable ex

Incredibly rich & moist birthday cupcakes waiting our arrival - made vegan especially for me!

Top ratings for the innkeepers, the house, the food and the community. The innkeepers recognize the balance between providing their guests privacy and space while also offering great service. They offered wonderful advice about the community, telling us about independent coffee shops, small museums on campus, and the location of the "real" Indiana Jones' grave -- all of which is in walking distance from the B&B. (As a sidenote, Indiana Jones' inspiration Roy Chapman Andrews was also born in Beloit and studied at Beloit College.) Most impressive to me personally was how the innkeepers were so accommodating to my diet (plant-based/vegan); they did research, they tested recipes, and they provided! Incredibly moist and rich, elegantly decorated, vegan cupcakes were awaiting our arrival for my birthday. The evening appetizers and breakfast were also 100% vegan for me. The most tasty tofu scramble I've ever had, with sweet potato medallions on the side, while they also prepared a delicious omelette for my husband. Some wonderful details that make your stay enjoyable: - Coffee, soft drinks & snacks in the hall - Robes to lounge and/or venture into common areas - Large, soft & thick towels - Smart TV with Netflix access and DVDs for those without - Coloring books and pencils in the room - Classic board games & playing cards Highly recommended.

They prepared appetizers for us on the back patio.

Cameo Rose Bed and Breakfast A Hidden…read moreGem Inside a Rushed and Busy World If you're searching for peace and quiet, five-star customer service, a clean and very healthy environment featuring the best breakfasts you'll ever enjoy then the Cameo Rose is for you. Cameo Rose is one of those B&B's just off the beaten track just outside of Madison, Wisconsin you should enjoy at least once in your life. With the Victorian Architecture, spot-on accommodations surrounded by 120 acres of rolling hills, and my wife's favorite Fireflies lighting up the early evening you'll ask yourself, "Is this Heaven? Nope, it's the Cameo Rose." Yes, I stole that line from the movie Field of Dreams, but it's still true. Over the past 30+ years, Dawn and Gary Bahr have created a magically delicious home that welcomes you from the moment you arrive. You can feel the stress leave your body as you drive up and meet Dawn. I say delicious because you'll be in the presence of a true culinary chef. Her talents and creativity in the kitchen are truly top-shelf. Just between you and me, Dawn doesn't know how good she is. From the tasty layers in her quiche to her handmade scones, her Eggs benedict, and desserts that can make a grown man cry. Every breakfast is created with the freshest ingredients that combine to become gifts for your pallet. My favorite part of the morning is her description of each ingredient of the meal and what detailed joy goes into each expression of her talents. On a personal note, Dawn knows I'm diabetic and changed my meals which became a diabetes-friendly experience. This just does not happen in most places, and I've traveled extensively. Each morning sitting on the large front porch drinking a coffee listening to the menagerie of birds singing their morning songs or at night with a glass of wine I realized these moments are the best and most wonderful ways to start and finish your days at the Cameo Rose. Thank you Dawn and Gary, Rick and Julie, Seattle PS: There are two beautiful cranes that wander the property. We named the Libby and Delbert. Please say hello for us.

King size bed, living room area, bathroom, and another room with the hot tub. So relaxing and enjoyable. Dawn was a great hostess, very friendly with great recommendations in the area. And the 4- course breakfasts she makes are some of the best food you will ever have. Can not recommend enough!!
