You have to purchase a wash card and the machine was out or order. Luckily they have someone who works there and they let me use their card.

This is a clean, well-kept laundromat with a variety of machine sizes. Everyday there are specific…read moremachines on sale. Not specfic sizes but actual machine numbers. The discounted machines can be referenced on the wall. Unlike most laundromats where the machines of the same size are grouped together, this one has sizes small to large in a row & then start again. I find that to be well thought out and convenient. Why the low rating? 1) The only method of payment accepted by the washing machines & dryers is their proprietary payment card. This is not that unusual but it's not my preference because I think customers end up losing money. Anyway, you can only top up the card with cash. The machine is equipped to accept credit /debit cards but the owner has not enabled it. 2) The washing machine cycle settings (i.e. gentle, normal, permanent preas etc.) aren't well defined in writing leaving customers to rely on the owner - Kim - to explain. When I asked her, she seemed annoyed. Instead of answering my questions directly she told me which setting I should use - without asking what my priority was. The gentle cycle doesn't wring out the clothes. I learned that through trial and error. 3) You must start with one dollar on a dryer. You can only top up the machine with 0.25 at a time quarter while the dryer is still running. If you wait until the dryer stops, you have to put a full dollar in again. To ensure that I only paid for the time I needed I checked the clothing frequently. Kim came over and scolded me saying that I was wasting the gas by opening the door so often. Of course she'd prefer that I waste my money paying for drying time that I don't need. I did not appreciate being scolded like a child. Knowing I was a new customer, she should have informed me nicely and made a suggestion on how I could be efficient with the drying time. It was during that incident that I decided I wouldn't return. Of course, I still had to return one more time because there was money on the card but that was it.
