if I could give zero stars I would. I've been a loyal customer at this laundromat for over three…read moreyears, but after my experience today, I won't be returning. They ruined my comforter ON TOP of The staff being incredibly rude and pushy, constantly harassing customers for tips. The begging and demanding of tips has been the last few times I've been there and it's just out of control especially with the service they want to be tipped on. Today I was told that my fiancé "hasn't tipped the last three times," which is not only untrue but completely inappropriate to say to a paying customer. Gratuity is supposed to be optional and a reflection of good service -- not something customers should be guilted or pressured into. When we do tip, it's always $20 or more, but being treated this way after years of loyalty is unacceptable. To make it even better I attached photos of how my king size Casaluna comforter was returned to me. I sent it in perfect condition just a monthly wash & they return it with blue stains all over it. AND THEY WANTED A Tip?!?! lol the staff members name was Stephany Zolnoski. This place has lost our business for good.

The word "Cafe" in the name is slightly misleading. Unless you want to eat laundry cakes (is there…read moresuch a thing?), vending machine coffee or vending machine snacks it is not exactly a cafe. Let's instead focus on laundry. I'm a bachelor. I recently moved to an apartment with no washer or dryer. Although I am adept at doing my own laundry I seldom want to take the time and sit there babysitting my unmentionables while they process though the laundry cycle. If I were inclined to do so I can see that this is a great place to do it. There are an ample number of machines of varying sizes. Depending on just how much laundry you have you can either use small machines and separate your darks from your lights or you can be like me and just toss it all into one industrial sized vat (I pretty much only have darks). Once you're through with the washers there are an equally ample quantity of dryers. The way it works is, for each washer you pay for you automatically get a certain number of free minutes in the dryers. The larger the washer to longer you get with the dryers. The room is cheerful, smells good and is well lit. The signage is clear so even a laundromat novice such as myself can figure stuff out reasonably easily. That said, I rarely use any of the above. I prefer the wash and fold service. I walk in with a bag of dirty laundry and meet an always cheerful laundry specialist at the front desk. I throw my bag onto a scale and they charge $.99/pound. A few hours later, I return to collect a bag of clean and folded laundry. I've been using them pretty much since they opened and consistently I have been thrilled to take my bag home and find everything nicely folded and smelling fresh. I'm not sure it qualifies as a complaint but if I were to get nitpicky I might observe that although they always match my socks they do not pair them.

Let me tell you all something. I have been going to Mr. Suds in Clayton for years and they've…read moreconsistently upgraded the place and made me feel welcomed. It's ALWAYS clean and there's always staff there. I was new to the place in the beginning, of course, and wasn't really sure how everything worked as far as the machines go. Anyway, I didn't realize by using pod detergent DOES NOT GO IN THE TOP where liquids are supposed to go and when I put the pods in there I clogged up the machine and water and suds were everywhere! I was very embarrassed. But then my girl Michele came over. She told me what I did wrong then started cleaning up. First she got a ladder and safety signs then climbed up to unclog the mess I made. She wouldn't let me help her even though I felt obligated to. I stood there with her while she took care of the situation and we chatted as she worked. She is an AMAZING person and very knowledgeable of her job. Fast forward two years and Michele and I have become great friends! She lets me know as soon as I come in that she's there to help , because she knows I always need help. I'm not Laundromat savvy to say the least. When the new system to pay first arrived I was a bumbling idiot and my girl was there ready to explain and help. Now mind you, we only see each other when I do my laundry there. We do not socialize outside of Mr. Suds so it's not like she gives me special treatment. She's a straight forward and honest person who will tell you straight up what's what and if you think she's anything but a hard working helpful person, than YOU'VE got the problem! Imagine putting yourself in her job and realizing it's not that easy! To deal with us customers constantly and washing, folding, sweeping mopping and emptying trash. I've watched her do all these things as well as cleaning out lint traps cleaning the bathroom and all the in the office stuff. Try managing that all day and staying positive all the while...Thank you Michele and Mr. Suds for all your help and you've even taught me a thing or two!! My girl ROCKS!!!

I've been a weekly customer here for almost 2 years. I've…read morebeen concerned about many of the unprofessional ways of the operation, but never affected my drop off laundry service. But... now it has all come together as such... My clothes were given to another customer. My entire work wardrobe. Over $200 of very specific clothes, such as my carhartt jeans, and my dickies tee shirts. So in total I'm out of 2 pair of carhartt jeans, 6 dickie shirts, 6 tank tops, 6 pair underwear, 6 pair of socks. After 2 days of trying to reach the owner, I finally was able to catch a employee on phone with him and I spoke with him. He blew me off for 2 days till he finally responded to me as to what he is going to do to reimburse me. He clearly stated that nothing like this has ever happened to him, and his employees did not take my clothes, and so he offered me $130 for my loss, and told me that he will not except my business no longer cause my clothes are too expensive. The owner is only in the shop maybe 2 times a day so he has no clue as to any regular customer or what they bring weekly to him. But he figures that since his employees didn't take them and said a customer took them, then he would only kind enough to offer me $130 for my loss of over $230 of clothes that are specifically needed for work. His arrogance is very child like. He has no customer care knowledge, but has plenty of things to otherwise blame besides himself. He has no realistic understanding of the amount, or the importance, nor the unsettling times still to come waiting for delivery of clothes that can only be bought online and how my job and income are affected by this. But he made sure that I heard him say at least 3 times that he don't want my business no longer after this. But I didn't do nothing wrong to be told a punishment . Again... just a child in a man's body but has nor one clue about even his own business. I highly do not recommend this establishment. And this will be posted on every media possible, just so everyone knows not to trust this business .
