I was asked to leave the salon by the owner Arthur because it was brought to his attention that I made two of his co-workers uncomfortable and he doesn't like to be in the middle of situations, his exact words via text. I tried to call but they never pick up the phone. Co-worker #1(who I had seen for 6 plus years) forgot about an appointment and left me stranded, mind you I am a every six weeks customer for cut and color $160 +..This was the first time he stranded me but there were several times where he was late and I had to contact him via text and social media to see if he was even going to show. When I was left with a no show stylist, I contacted Arthur who was able to accommodate me with co-worker #2 who was new to the area so I was very grateful that I was able to get my hair done and thought I would give her a chance. Co-worker #2 did my hair a few times and as I kept conveying that I wanted a cooler tone of blonde continued to do what she wanted having me look washed out. The last appointment I made in advance with co-worker #2 which was around her vacation schedule only to be texted to say that she would still be on vacation. So, I scheduled appointment online through their system with Arthur as my aunt passed away and needed my cut and color. I was seen by Arthur and he gave me a fantastic cut but only attempted to give me a color treatment to get me through. Ok, so now a co-worker of mine that I brought into the salon to help build the new girl's client base goes to get color in her hair only to come to work after spending $200 on 4 red patches (square) on the top of her head done by the new girl. After seeing this, I book my next appointment with Arthur as I feared for what I was going to get ...only to be told at 3:17pm on the day of my appointment which was at 5pm that he now feels uncomfortable. I guess the message is in today's world the customer doesn't matter, we are to blame. Arthur and his partner took over the business but that doesn't make them good business managers. As an owner your need to be able to handle uncomfortable conversations with your staff. Arthur I gave you feedback on the new hire when I sat in your chair. If people aren't happy they will find someone else I was just trying to keep my business with your salon but apparently you guys can't handle competition amongst yourselves. I just think it was very unprofessional of you to cancel on the day of appointment without even contacting me to talk about the situation. Instead you run and hide same as co-worker #1 don't try to mend the relationship just say you are uncomfortable doing my hair. Happy to say, since you let me go I have found a new stylist not at 1213 Studio that has fixed my hair properly and I will be giving her my business!
So I will say the same thing you texted me well wishes and good luck to you as you will need it if you continue to treat your patrons this way. read more
