The staff does an amazing job with my daughters hair each time she comes. Products they use are top quality but if you don't ask for it you won't get it. There is usually a wait if you don't get there when they open so plan ahead. Would be a five star but the prices do change for the same style and treatments. Bottom line - I trust them to take care of my daughters hair and will keep coming back.

I love this shop!! The atmosphere is great very friendly staff. This is my second time here to my surprise not only they remembered me by name but they also remembered everything about my last hair treatment 3 months ago! 'Yoli' is my stylist as soon as I walked in she smiled and called me to her seat I didn't even have to tell her what I needed she knew .... She's awesome :)

What can I do?

Went in on 12/26/20, came home for the holidays. I wanted a simple wash deep conditioning. The stylist talk me in to a "Silk press"! She burnt my natural hair. It will not go back to its natural state and it smells burnt every time I wet it. I am so disappointed. I don't know what she put in my hair but I will never go there again. I sent a message on FB messenger being no one will answer or responded. I am so upset. My hair was beautiful until I let her silk press it. Now I have to cut my hair off and start over. This is horrible!! I see this happened to someone else. Everytime I comb my hair it breaks!!! Start reading reviews!!!

Great people and great hair salon. I had my hair wash and I was scrubbed and massaged. Then I had a treatment followed by a blow drying and flatiron. Wonderful.

Before going to yvelisse

Burned the front of my hair completely off.. I was natural... had a head of thick curly hair until I went to yvelisse salon... this lady burned a section of my hair out.. wont get curly and it is coming out in clump... a month later and the burned smell is still present.. DONT GO HERE. .....ASK TO SEE LISCENCES.. ASK THEM TO SHOw YOU WHAT THEY WASH AND CONDITION UR hair with..I think they put straightener in it or something.. straightened parts of my hair...I complaimed and spoke to yvelisse and she offered me a month of free treatments.. I declined.. I would not trust them.. READ REVIEWS before you go here...

Thank you! Excellent service and my hair looks great. I have found a hair salon that reminds me back home in upstate NY. Thank you

I have third degree burns from the blow dryer! I have a permanent scar and severe hair shedding and breakage from this salon!

Previously, I'd been with my technician for 20+ years. I was referred to Vintage Nail Bar in Charlotte. Even though there were many salons closer to my new home, I went to see Steven based on this recommendation. I was not disappointed! He was so nice, friendly, and on time for my appointment. The salon was spacious and clean. My husband had a pedi with Vin and said he was great, too. There was another technician there, Pim, who seemed so kind - always smiling at incoming customers. I understand she does a great job with builder gel and will try her, too, in case Steven isn't available. For reference I am over 60 years young () and wanted a natural looking nail, thin on the sides and top. I'm so happy to have found this nail salon!

Kelly was my technician and she did a fantastic job. She was meticulous in the preparation of my nails for polish. She gave a very relaxing foot and lower leg massage, as well. Her polish application was perfect and she gave each coat time to dry. The result was a mani/ pedi that should last for a long time. It's already been three days with a lot of gardening and dish washing, and my hands still look perfect. Usually several nails would be showing signs of wear by now. I'm super happy and will definitely be back soon. I may have found my new "go-to" nail salon. Note: the place was busy on this Thursday afternoon. I'm glad I had an appointment.

I usually book through ClassPass, which makes it an amazing deal, but honestly, I'd come here anyway because the experience is just that good. This time, I had Whitney as my nail tech and she was wonderful. She took her time, was super gentle, and gave me an incredible foot and leg massage--probably the best I've had at a nail salon. Something I really appreciated (and this might sound weird to some) is that Whitney was very quiet. I actually didn't feel like being social during my appointment, and she let me enjoy the service in peace without any pressure to chat. That made the whole experience even more relaxing. The salon itself is always spotless, calm, and quiet. I've never been when it felt busy or chaotic, which makes it feel like a little escape. Between the cleanliness, the vibe, and Whitney's great work, I'll definitely be back again.

After doing research on nail salons that focused on healthy nails & offered Dazzle Dry products, I…read moredecided to make an appointment. On a positive note, something happened on the morning of my appointment that caused me to stop removing my own gel polish. I called & was able to push my appointment time back and add polish removal to my service. I requested polish removal, manicure, Dazzle dry, & a design. Right before the polish removal started, I informed the nail tech that there was only gel polish on my nails. The gel polish was a little stubborn during removal. Imo, the polish just needed to be filed down a little more. The nail tech made the assumption that I had hard gel on my nails. I didn't. She then put a stronger polish removal that was applied the same way nail polish is applied. I had started removing some of my polish before the appt. My left pinky had the least amount of polish, but the same amount of remover was applied to that finger as was applied to fingers with more polish, and she started with my right hand. We'd discussed possibly switching to a gel mani. By the time she made it to my left hand, she was mentioning how my fingers were red, not considering that I'd mentioned the tingling. She thought it was best to stay with Dazzle Dry; not a problem. By the time we were towards the end of polish application, she mentioned that the designs used with Dazzle Dry would be different than the regular designs. I still had nail art as part of my requested service. She decided that my polish color choice didn't need a design. I was given the nail files & lotion used during my appointment. I'm still looking for a new nail salon, unfortunately. After this $80 appointment, I didn't believe Frenchies would be my new nail salon.

At times, the attitudes can feel a bit harsh, but the owners are very sweet and professional. Just keep in mind that they do not take walk-ins close to closing, even for simple services, so it's best to plan ahead. Overall, it's a good nail salon in the area, and I love that they offer drinks like wine, soda, or water during your service.

I went in with my 5-year-old daughter, three teenage sisters, and my stepmom to celebrate my birthday with manicures and pedicures. I called ahead to book the appointment, and Mimi was fantastic in organizing everything to ensure we were all set. Upon arrival, I was immediately impressed by how clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed the salon was. The staff wore matching uniforms, the towels were embroidered with the business name, choice of vitamin-infused salt bath for your pedicure, and there was even a mini bar set up for special events. We were given choices of water, tea, coffee, juice, wine or champagne (I ordered a mimosa of course!). It was clear they take great pride in their space and service. However, there were some issues that affected our experience. My daughter's manicure and pedicure started to disintegrate after just two days, which was disappointing. I took her back to have it redone, and while the staff was accommodating, it was still a hassle. My shellac manicure, which I've had done many times without issue, also started lifting and chipping after just one week, which was unusual for me since I'm used to it lasting 3-4 weeks with no problems. What really added to the frustration was the delay in my stepmom's service. She had trouble with her technician, who wasn't familiar with shellac, and after everyone else was finished, we had to wait for someone else to redo hers. This pushed us over an hour late for our birthday lunch in Uptown and set off a domino effect, causing us to be late for the rest of our planned events. The service was great, the salon's cleanliness and atmosphere were top-notch, and the staff was friendly and professional despite these setbacks. I'm willing to give Alo Nail Salon another shot as it may have just been an off day, especially knowing I've had shellac manicures last for weeks in the past and not to assume 2 hours would be enough for a mani/pedi. I'd recommend it with a bit more caution and extra communication next time--especially if you have a hard stop for time-sensitive plans.
