Amanda M.

We had such a fantastic lunch at 1111 Nikkei today! From start to finish, everything was spot on. The restaurant is easy to find with plenty of parking, and the service was excellent. Mauricio, both our server and the manager, was absolutely amazing--so friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which really made the experience special. The food was just as incredible. We tried the: * Sticky Shrimp (a must!) * Steamed Chicken Gyoza * Hamachi Tiradito * 1111 Ceviche * Acevichado Roll Every single dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. It's clear that a lot of care goes into the menu. If you're looking for a spot that combines great food, warm service, and an easy dining experience, I can't recommend 1111 Nikkei enough. Definitely worth a visit--let's keep supporting amazing local restaurants like this one!

Great restaurant with great servers ! Small restaurant with a serious kitchen, food has always been great and fresh. They give you shrimp sui mai as a welcome snack. Parking is available in the front and on top of building. Ambiance is great and they have a TV in the back so guests can watch any game going on that night. We ordered : - sticky shrimp - pork bao buns - shrimp siu mai dumplings - half roll of tuna tartare maki - half roll of shrimp lovers - lomo saltado This is always a great option for dinner with family or significant others

Was looking forward to given I had seen some good reviews. It's was just Okay! The pork buns was the only fantastic thing on the menu. Ceviche was like any normal ceviche dish, nothing wow. Lomo saltado was a big plate of rice, barely any meat or fries-- to top it off the meat was bland and unsalted.

Came across this place by accident. Best sushi I've had in a while. Their rolls are refreshingly original and will Open your tastebuds to different flavor combinations. We shared the sticky shrimp as an appetizer and also got a chalaco ceviche and asked them to make it extra spicy. I wasn't disappointed. The nibui truffle maki and the shiro maki were amazing. These two rolls were unlike any other rolls I've ever had. Can't believe this place was packed to the brim.

I had been craving ceviche forever and so when in Miami I try to find local spots that will take care of that craving. After reading a couple of reviews I decided to make the drive further south to 1111 Nikkei Izakaya. This restaurant is not super divey but not super elegant. The ambience is nice and lovely and the staff is super friendly. The food was amazing! Fresh and super flavorful. It was worth the drive.

Nice little restaurant at a shopping mall in Pinecrest. I always like to scope out the menu before I go to a place so I can pick up out what I want to eat beforehand. But I'm glad we listened to the specials. They had a slow cooked short rib that day that was phenomenal. I also tried the sushi, ceviche, and papas Huancaina. All delish! They have a must-try dessert: the Suspiro Limeo- probably has a million calories but I don't care because it was that good!

Hubby and I had a mini date night here and loved the food! We were brought an amuse bouche which was tasty and light. I ordered off of the Spice menu, while hubby ordered from the regular menu. We shared the clasico ceviche and pork belly bao buns to start. Both were fantastic. The ceviche was fresh and had those big corn kernels that give a nice crunch. The bao buns...yum...don't miss these! I ordered the short rib as my main dish, and hubby got the pulpo. The short rib was so tender and flavorful. The pulpo typically comes with an olive rice, which I'm glad the waiter pointed out, as hubby does not like olives but was excited for pulpo...not a problem, the waiter offered to swap the rice for a fried rice. For dessert we had the Suspiro "natilla". It comes in a little shot glass, which is the perfect size. It is very sweet (too sweet for hubby), but I loved it. Service was great, the restaurant itself is nicely decorated. Parking is easy. Highly recommend!

Stumbled across this place by accident while waiting for a appointment and needing a quick bite. Place was small, but comfortable- tables are not cramped. Service was great - and fast. The food was actually very good and I will be looking forward to coming back for an actual full dinner or lunch.

Stephanie C.

This was such a nice surprise. We came on a whim, and have been blown away. Great service. We ordered what was suggested-from the ceviche and sushi menus. Incredible! Best sushi in the area.

Liz M.

I'm only upset I didn't know about this hidden gem any sooner. The staff was so friendly. They allowed us to taste the wine before purchasing. The pork in the bao buns was tender and perfectly seasoned. We had the tuna and hamachi nigiri duo but the tuna was devoured before I got a picture. All the fish was incredibly fresh, like it was just caught in the bay. The hamachi was a delight, melted in your mouth. The duck and risotto was phenomenal. Very tranquil and romantic little spot. Definitely coming back for more!

Visited 1111 for the first time on Friday night (1-26-24). I had seen a post on Facebook about their new menu and all of the pictures looked amazing! So, I had to try it. We got there at about 9pm. It was a bit busy, but luckily there was a table for 2 available and we were immediately sat. There are plenty of options on the menu, but I would love to have some pictures with them. I ordered some edamame as an appetizer and we ordered some "fresco" ceviche to share. The fresco ceviche has a kind of thick sauce which I didn't love, but the ceviche fish was really good. I ordered the Tuna Acevichado sushi roll. It was very good. My husband got the Inka Maki. It was better than mine. We asked for soy sauce and the waiter said they recommend trying it alone first. So we did. It's good, and I don't recommend too much soy sauce, but I still prefer it with some. I gave service 4 instead of 5 stars just because it was kind of all over the place. They were very busy. We had a couple of different people wait on us and sometimes we waited longer because they weren't sure who was taking care of us. But it wasn't bad service. We didn't drink or get dessert. The meal was perfect as it was. Not too much, or too little. Our dinner came to $75 with tip. I'd love to go back and try some different sushi rolls and ceviches.

Went here on Dec 28,2024 for our 7 year wedding anniversary, service was great food was delicious. We had for starters ceviche, and I had the bao buns, for entree she had the special was squid ink lobster ravioli that was to die for, I had the the lomo saltado. Service, food and drinks were great my biggest issue here is charging 24.95+ $1 for an egg and your plate is lacking meat and tomatoes it's a problem. Again food was great but 5 small pieces of steak and a few fried which the fries I don't mind and the tomatoes 2 small pieces.. I would had definitely gone again because food is good but the meat wasn't I felt like I was eating rice with eggs and fries..

I haven't enjoyed a good meal in a while, and 1111 changed that for me. The food is well prepared and very flavorful, and it definitively showcased some uncommon flavors unique to Peruvian/Japanese food. I recommend this restaurant to anyone, and even though we may find discrepancies in preference, we all must agree that this place has legit good food, even if it is gourmet. I got a risotto with osso buco, and it was delicious, despite being a Peruvian bistro, right? I got a ceviche for appetizer and it was good, but not the best. The same applied to the "Chupe de Camarones" which was a little bit too much like a "Bouillabaisse". The fries, the rice, and "Suspiro Limeño" were great, as well as my risotto. We also wanted an alfajor, and sadly it was too dry. To their defense, the alfajor comes with ice cream normally. With all this in, my overall impression is that this is a great place to eat. I know what not to order, and I know what to try next. Better yet, I know that I will enjoy my next meal. Service may be a bit weak, but the food is good...

I had aji de gallina which was not great. The chicken was tough and the sauce was just okay. I ordered salchipapas for my child which I thought it was a bit pricey for hotdogs and fries at $10 but my son always orders that at Peruvian restaurants. The dish was so bare that I had to make him something else after he was done. Never seen salchipapas served so poorly. Won't be returning. read more

Found this spot by chance today and I am so glad we did! The food was delicious!! I am super picky with my ceviche and the fresh corvina was tender and super fresh. I could have drank the leche de Tigre sauce. The sushi roll that followed was divine. High quality ingredients and great service. Thought we would be hungry so we ordered the sticky shrimp.... Although it was pretty good, we could have definitely done without it. (We were two people for lunch). You should try this spot! read more

History

Established in 2019.

The project started when Martin Monteverde moved to Miami with his family in 1986, and studied at Florida International University, Chaplin School of Hospitality and Restaurant Management. He went on to open two successful Miami restaurants: Sole and Mixxt. Two years later he set out to find the ideal setting for what would be 1111 Peruvian Bistro: Brickell. Four years passed and it was time to conquer new horizons. Enter 1111 Peruvian Bistro Pinecrest. Through the years our restaurant has pivoted its concept towards the Japanese side. That’s how 1111 Nikkei Izakaya Pinecrest is born; a Japanese restaurant with a Peruvian essence. Rather than fine dining, 1111 offers something perhaps even more enjoyable: fine food in a comfortable, more casual atmosphere. We will continually refresh our menu with seasonal discoveries, and give a distinctly Japanese- Peruvian twist to every elaboration. Enjoy

Meet the Manager: Luis P.

In 1111, we want to show a comfortable atmosphere with an honest menu that offers quality food from the fusion of different cuisines around the world.

A Really Great Find in Pembroke Pines…read more KAERU SUSHI & GRILL is a small, beautifully decorated restaurant with a really pleasant and inviting atmosphere. It has a relaxed, modern izakaya feel that makes it a great place to enjoy a meal without feeling overly formal. The ingredients tasted fresh, the flavors were well balanced, and each dish felt thoughtfully prepared. There's a creativity to the menu that really sets it apart from your typical sushi restaurant. Walk ins are welcome, but I highly recommend making a reservation, especially during busy evenings since the restaurant is on the smaller side. I'll definitely be back. The fish we ordered (not sure the name of the dish) was incredible too. The service was impeccable as well. The waiter we had was Francisco. Seriously the best server I've had in ages. He was extremely polite, friendly and attentive. Their bar is pretty legit too and the bartender is super nice and makes the best drinks. Love everything about this place, highly recommend!! :)

Osaka Brickell: Extraordinary…read more My wife and I visited Osaka in Brickell, Miami, this evening--and I was so impressed that I rushed home to write this review. The Verdict In one word: extraordinary. We loved it. Restaurants often use the word "fusion" loosely, but at Osaka, it truly applies. The menu delivers Peruvian and Japanese fusion at its best: a thoughtful blend of South American and Japanese flavors, with each bite offering a beautifully engineered explosion of taste. Food The food is creative, beautifully presented, and genuinely unique--but Osaka offers much more than great dishes. Our server, Yesenia, guided us with recommendations that balanced our preferences with the restaurant's signature flavors, including a remarkably fresh sashimi amuse-bouche, Kiiro ceviche, a Hongos Teppan trumpet mushroom dish that was not listed on the menu, and a Nikkei Makimono that brought Peruvian flavors into a traditional sushi roll. The restaurant manager, Miki, also checked in during our meal. The service was casual, attentive, and perfect. Ambiance is paid to every detail. We ate at the sushi bar, but the main dining area was spectacular, and the bar area was sublime. Lastly, the music was a combination (fusion) of new age, Peruvian jungle music and Japanese sounds all blended into a crescendo on the experience. Try it....you'll love it. Ten out of ten !

It is my understanding that these are used at yakitori shops around the world. Anyhow, when I saw that Dojo Izakaya used this grill, I had to check them out. The restaurant is pretty modern and the service is top notch. I got a vibe of a x star Michelin restaurant, but fortunately/unfortunately it is not. I ordered the fried chicken, grilled gyozas, and a grilled branzino. The chicken was really good, with excellent flavors. The grilled items had a special grilled flavor, more intense but also more delicate than regular smoked foods. It is a nice alternative to regular charcoal grills that many places use, as well as smokers at smoked meat restaurants. I appreciate the offerings, the variety, good flavors, etc. The menu changes weekly or monthly, so this is an active menu that offers diversity. If the restaurant wants to be a fine dining restaurant, I can see them going in that direction. Otherwise, they could stay as they are and continue using the unique grill flavors.

I had an absolutely terrible experience with 1111 Nikkei. Not only did they take an eternity to prepare my order for delivery, but when I called to inquire about the delay, their excuse was beyond absurd. Apparently, they prioritize orders for customers dining in at the restaurant over those placed for delivery. How ludicrous is that? As a paying customer, I expect timely service regardless of how I choose to enjoy their food. Save yourself the frustration and steer clear of this place unless you have all day to wait for your meal! My experience with 1111 Nikkei was incredibly disappointing. The store manager, Luis Perez, called me and shockingly admitted that they prioritize customers dining in at the restaurant over DoorDash clients like myself. When I questioned the fairness of this policy and mentioned my rights as a paying customer, he proceeded to complain about DoorDash taking a portion of the money and abruptly hung up on me. It's appalling to see such disregard for customer service and professionalism. Needless to say, I won't be ordering from them again. read more

The chicken was tasty, but somewhat rubbery and consistency, and the fried rice was moist, but bland. The portion was excellent, but it was overall somewhat average and not up to the standards that I am used to at better hibachi restaurants. The price was slightly lower than it is standard hibachi restaurant where it is served Teppanyaki style, but not enough to offset the loss of the entertainment and the additional food items and service that you receive.
