Most of my friends are new fathers, and I didn't have any notice so I couldn't get help to move it if I had rented a truck. I cannot say enough great things about Andy and his company, he was professional, friendly, and saved us a bunch of money and hassle by renting a truck from Home Depot. Here's the story, due to my late night insomnia I was browsing on nextdoor and found a dresser a local neighbor was giving away for free.. did I need it? No. Did I want it ? Yes. But was it worth asking friends to come on the weekend and sacrifice their truck, gas, and possibly our friendship for a free dresser. No! So I decided to checkout thumbtack for someone who has a truck and a few hours to haul this thing from 2 miles down the street. I received several responses all requesting 3 hour jobs or a flat fee of $175 min.. ughhh was this free dresser really worth this hassle... ummm heck yes!? Then the clouds separated from the sky and a beam of heavenly light was bestowed on my inbox when 10milemover immediately gave me an awesome flat price and was able to come next day!!! Andy's communication was superb , not only did He text me a time but he actually arrived 15 min early! Unheard of nowadays!! He was much more well prepared then I assumed he'd be with a portable ramp, furniture dolly, ropes, straps, and furniture damage protectors. Now in my mind , I assumed I was just hiring some dude with a truck but was pleasantly surprised at how well Andy had it down. He even took the time to lay a towel down to protect my wood floor, and called after I tipped him to ask if I wanted change back. Wow. Incredible service. I found a California king mattress online and I didn't have the means to pick it up and deliver it home myself. I texted Andy and he got back to me very quickly saying that William would do the pickup and delivery. This was on very short notice and on Thanksgiving! William was very nice and personable. William clearly knew what he was doing; as we got the mattress on top of his van and he strapped it down firmly in no time! That mattress wasn't going anywhere! They even accommodate with last minute requests lol (I had a long rough day). I have no complaints with my experience. Robert, my mover, was very friendly. Took the extra hand to help me with my heavy item. I would definitely use 10 mile movers again. At first I thought it was a bit expensive but after seeing all that Robert did, the travel, and time; I got a much better deal than renting a truck myself and having to get help. These guys are excellent! I have never had a better moving experience and I am the type of person who moves minimum every other year so I'm rather experience in this field. I think that I like most about this company is that the owner is a straight shooter and he does not play games. I was not an easy customer. I changed request several times and had multiple pick up locations. I never once received any sort of attitude because of my ever-changing needs and was always greeted with a smile and was offered solutions as to how we can go about accomplishing my ever-changing move goals. The movers themselves were very friendly and helpful and dedicated to their goals. None of my furniture was broken or damaged they did not track dirt into the house and were very respectful. I found a patio set all the way in Newport Beach but I live in the valley near Calabasas. It was last minute and after calling several companies who literally quoted me twice the amount I chose Andy. Andy sent William (who came 30 minutes earlier than initially quoted to my great pleasure) and they lugged my patio set 70 miles and got it to my house in tact! I am so impressed with this company! He then gave me $5 off because I paid by CC using his website! What moving company gives you a discount for paying using a CC??? That was icing on the cake. Excellent experience. Andy scheduled a "small" move in at short notice, that got larger when it turned out that my complex only allows furniture in ONE elevator, on the opposite side to my apartment. Sam and John worked hard and fast, were diligent about leaving things tidy both at the pickup and delivery locations. I needed to move my large dry erase board have it uninstalled and moved from my office to my home office with installation. This was less than 3 miles away from each other and it was only one item. I found an ad on Craigslist stating that no job was too small and I like they gave a price schedule upfront even though it's going to be adjusted by what the actual job is. I texted at 3:30am in The morning and got a response around 8:30am. Thank you William and Steve for coming out on a 104 degree day, you guys were lifesavers. I purchased an adjustable bedframe, but realized it was too heavy for me to get upstairs by myself. I found them on thumbtack and the owner responded right away, very friendly. William and Steve showed up when they said and kept in contact.
