The entire process was smooth, and the conversation made it even better. Rafael took the time to ask about my favorite music genre and even played it while helping me. Rafael is incredibly hardworking, genuinely cares about helping people, and goes above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable. I highly recommend him to anyone needing registration services. After discovering the intake air hose on my vehicle was cracked causing me to fail a Smog Check, I…read moreimmediately asked friends and family if they knew of any trustworthy and knowledgeable mechanics who could fix this. Though I spoke with several different individuals and shops, none were able to complete this specific repair surprisingly. Some shops just never got back to me. I turned to Yelp, and though I received several replies regarding my request for a quote, most advised that I bring the car in for a preliminary diagnostic (accompanied by a flat rate) and then they would quote how much the actual part and labor would be (more $$$) Enter Armen from Hollywood Star Smog Check & Auto Repair who not only responded quickly but clearly with my exact request - a flat quote for the part and labor. I gave him the green light, and he ordered the part from the vehicle manufacturer, and confirmed how long the fix would take and when to come in. I went in this morning, and everyone was kind and helpful. Armen even showed me the cracked hose after he took it out of my car and explained why he prefers to get manufacturer's parts when he can for specific issues My car passed its Smog Check after this repair. I will definitely return to Hollywood Star Smog Check & Auto Repair if my car needs anything else in the future.

Because it closes at 6pm, I was able to get here after work. I didn't know how much it costs to transfer a title at the DMV since it was my first time doing it, but I was charged $432 for it here via Zelle. It was a transfer between family members which means I didn't have to pay any use or sales taxes apparently. So I would've been charged only $15 at the DMV. I wish I asked for a breakdown of the charge and honestly just got some time off work to go to the DMV. He took advantage of the fact that I am new to this whole thing and overcharged me. I wish I did my research before coming here. I was deceived and scammed. When I called him about this afterwards he offered to mail me a $100 check for deleting my review . I want my money back.
