I am only leaving this honest review after giving Brenno Castro of Kastro Services every…read moreopportunity possible to make things right. Long story short, we hired this group (Kastro Services does not even appear to be a registered entity) to refinish our kitchen table. Brenno's estimate stated it would take about 5 days to complete the work. After we paid him a 50% deposit, Brenno collected the table from our home and brought it to his garage to perform the work. As soon as he had possession of the table, communication became sporadic to non-existent. I requested on multiple occasions that he just return the table to me so I could find someone else, but he no showed on each time he promised to bring it back. Benno then said the work was complete. After day 20, Brenno finally gave us the address of his garage and I hired someone to retrieve my table. When it arrived at our home, I was HORRIFIED. It looks NOTHING like the finish we chose. He did not even use a stripper to remove the old stain, just sanded the heck out of the table (still missing spots of the old paint). He also DAMAGED the table and there are pieces of wood now missing from the table base due to his careless handling and sloppy work. It looks like a tan zebra attacked it instead of the the dark brown/gray finish we requested. We now have to spend money and more time with a professional to fix this disaster. Avoid Brenno and Kastro Services at all costs.

The finish products were outstanding and far exceeded my expectations for form, function, quality, beauty. For the initial consultation and estimate, Curtis Sharp, the owner and general contractor of the company, came to my home and sat with me for as long as I needed so I could explain my vision for the design. He asked many questions and was an excellent listener. He provided solid advice whenever I asked for it; and after taking all the measurements, he drafted the design right in front of me as I gave input. Once we agreed on the design and price, he came again a couple days later to take final measurements and confirm the job. From the job order to the completion of installation, the job only took two weeks! He had everything painted in his cabinet shop, so all his crew had to do was bring them to my home for assembly, installation and paint touch-up / caulking. His crew were extremely professional, courteous and clean. They didn't leave any messes when the job was done. His prices were reasonable. His cabinets are all of the highest quality wood and paint. Curtis has been in this business since 1974, and he really knows what he's doing.
