Well, besides the decision to marry my beautiful wife... I was suffering from a couple herniated discs and a horribly painful pinched nerve that ran all the way down my arm. My arm felt like it was on fire. It was six months of constant agony that kept getting worse. After 6 months of chiro and PT, an epidural and every treatment under the sun, I was told by my Dr. in L.A. that I probably needed surgery. I started looking online for some sort of miracle, because there was no way I was letting a surgeon remove my disc and put a metal plate in my neck. Well, Dr. Vetanze is that miracle. I found Dr. V. on Youtube. If you don't know Dr. V. or have not seen his videos, go on Youtube and check them out. After watching Dr. V.'s videos I knew immediately I had to go see him. He's nothing like the chiropractor you are currently seeing, I guarantee you that. I flew to Denver just for one day to see Dr. V. to see if he was the real deal or not. Within the first 5 minutes of seeing him he fixed issues with my achilles tendon, feet, calves and hips that I had had for probably 30 years. It blew my mind. He did some work on my neck and back as well, but told me I had a lot going on and he needed more time to work on me. So, I flew back to Denver a couple weeks later and spent 5 days at Omni Chiropactic. The results were amazing. The nerve pain is all but gone and I can look up at the ceiling for the first time in 6 months. My one finger tip is a little numb, but I can live with that. I feel like my old self again. Dr. V., Mario, Wes and Woody are all amazing and the support staff is super friendly and helpful. If you are in pain and no one else has been able to help you, go see Dr. V. at Omni Chiropractic. It's terrifying looking for someone to manipulate your joints when you have a bizarre genetic disorder that affects your joints. (Thanks, Mom!) So, I waited until I hurt myself and was FORCED to find a new chiropractor. Great, huh? My elbow was really bothering me and I couldn't even shower without help. Ugh. We searched around on Yelp for a five star chiropractor and we found Allie. We called her and due to a miracle (she is always crazy booked and can rarely take same day appointments) she was able to see me! As this was a new doc, I was terrified. If you're chronically ill you understand. You're sitting there thinking "How do I explain my complicated disease in thirty seconds or less, so that I don't get injured etc." Before my adjustment I explained that I had Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and you know what Allie said "Oh, I've adjusted people with that." I actually did a happy dance! (She laughed). Allie is incredibly caring and kind. She wants you to feel your best and it is obvious. My husband, who has had back problems for years, lets her adjust him. He never liked adjustments before! Don't let the fact that this isn't a walk-in place put you off. Made the appointment with Dr. "M". The Harlan building is noisy, close to the road, bright and does not give a warm or relaxing feeling. Dr. "M" is a powerful person. Dr's can't "see" the spine/neck correctly without an Xray!! On the second visit, laid on the "roller table", Dr. "M" pushed on my back...thought I was going to have a broken rib or at least vomit in my mouth. WAY too hard for a seventy year old man. Then progressed to give my head a sharp twist. Fortunately my neck muscle were so tight they protected my neck. Basically the "vanilla" adjustments. Brutal and unnecessary force. Two red flags! I did have neck pain for a few days, they said that was "normal" HA. (CYA) I cancelled any future appts. Interested how much Medicare was charged. I was in search for a high quality, experienced, caring Dr., this took three months of searching. Do you know where your Dr.'s degree is from ?? I do. SINCE then I have an awesome Dr. First we have a consultation, then she requires an Xray! Makes sense. On the next visit, after reviewing the X-ray and write up from the Xray Dr. we talk about my med history, which is quite extensive. My awesome current Chiro Dr. said I should NEVER EVER have my head twisted like Dr. "M" did, otherwise severe injury and or further damage or paralysis could very possibly happen as C5-6 has been fused,etc. I do not know why any Chiro Dr. would lay a hand on anybody without a Xray !!!! The risk is too great. As well as their adjustment would be a "guess", with minimal success. If someone cannot spend $100 or so for an Xray then you do not understand the risks of Chiro adjustments and do not want optimum, professional, complete, safe and progressive care. Otherwise the 5 year plan. Believe me I was fortunately saved from possibly further neck/spine damage as my neck muscles were "locked" and prevented any further damage! However, after being placed on the decompression table, everything changed. I was unable to get up because my legs began spasming so severely that I could barely move. I was nearly wheeled out of the office. I have never experienced anything like that in my life, and it was honestly terrifying. What disappointed me even more was what happened afterward--nothing. Despite experiencing what I considered a significant medical event in their office, no one called or checked on me later that day to see if I was okay. A simple follow-up phone call would have shown compassion and concern for a patient who left in far worse condition than expected. I understand that not every treatment has the desired outcome, and I know complications can happen. My concern is with the complete lack of follow-up after such a serious incident. Patient care shouldn't end when someone walks out the door, especially when they almost couldn't walk out at all. I hope they improve their post-treatment follow-up procedures so no one else feels as overlooked as I did.

He worked through my scheduling issues and saw me at a time that was super convenient for me. He was nice and personable, and extremely knowledgeable. It was the first time I've ever been to a chiropractor that was a man (my former dr. was a woman) and he made me extremely comfortable the entire time. He made the adjustments that were necessary and I've felt great ever since. The rates are INCREDIBLY reasonable. The parking is easy, and the building wasn't hard to find either.
