The whole team at Denver Chiropractic is great, but recently, I was having issues with my shoulders and back. After 10 days with no relief, and after an adjustment from a different chiropractic practice didn't help, I made an appointment with Dr. Laura Graber. She accurately assessed the issue, gave me a series of adjustments, and also added dry needling to the treatment. I think that's what really did the trick. After the first visit, I was immediately feeling better. Still not at 100%, I went back for a second treatment of both an adjustment and dry needling. This took care of the problem, and I have had no issues since. If you are going to a chiropractor that is only doing adjustments but does not offer other services, and it's not helping, I highly recommend trying some of the treatment options that Denver Chiropractic provides. I've done dry needling, and I've done shockwave treatments for other issues. I cannot express enough, how pleased I've always been with the results! I could not recommend Dr. Laura Graber enough! I am a 23 year old who played sports my whole life and all throughout college. I woke up every morning with pain in both of my shoulders; something I had grown accustomed to. My performance in training was taking a massive hit due to my limited ability with my shoulders, along with this both shoulders would click everytime I rotated them. If I was rating my first few visits this would be a whole different story... Long story short, I had an awful adjustment that caused more pain. So, I have had lower back pain and muscle tightness for about 10 years. Monthly visits for a adjustment and dry needling keeps the pain at bay and I had been seeing a doctor here for those treatments. I took two months off because I wasn't in town and the doctor I had seen left the practice in that time. We had a good relationship and she took the time to understand my body. I decided to blindly trust another one of the doctors here because it was a reputable practice. I was put on stem for 3 minutes, then he came in, asked what I wanted, gave me dry needling and adjusted my spine. However, he didn't examine my back at all before either treatment. The dry needling was sharp and painful (this jack not normal) and the adjustment didn't seem to "fully" adjust. He was with me for all of 10 min max (didn't even ask why I was there!!) I left thinking that I felt loosened up. However, I woke up in so much pain that night unable to move because my back was so stiff. I gave it two days to see if I was just sore but the pain got worse. I called another chiropractor and he made time for me the day I called. Took the time to fully examine my back and took xrays. He then adjusted me and could tell I was adjusted incorrectly. Your back isn't something to mess with and I felt like they couldn't care less. Patients are just another number here. read more

This review is a little overdue, but I better late than never! Before Christmas I did something while working out that caused me excruciating pain and even hurt to breathe. After about 2 weeks of pain, I decided to give a chiropractor a try. Dr. Graber was fantastic, and after 1 visit I was about 90% better, and completely without pain after a follow up a week later. Cost was minimal, the service was great, and I will definitely return if I have another rib pop out or other back issue. It's been a journey, but both Dr. Artichoker and Dr. Geary have been great in treating my pain and helping me understand what I can do to recover. Dr. Artichoker has used active release and graston techniques for my neck and upper shoulders to manually work on my muscles and problem areas, which have been extremely tight. Through these practices, I've been slowly improving and have been able to maintain an active lifestyle. Since I have a desk job, I don't think there is a quick fix to address my pain; it's small changes that have large impacts, and Dr. Artichoker's therapy has made a difference in how I feel. read more

My review is long overdue. I have since moved away from the Denver area, but if I needed help I would hands down recommend this clinic for chiropractic care. Before receiving care at their office, I had been through the gambit of doctors appointment, physical therapy, neurologists, massages, exercises, etc, and nothing helped with thoracic outlet syndrome. Dr. Artichoker was thorough in his examination, took time and explained plan of care in detail. He is also very kind and personable. He is amazing at what he does, very in tune with Active Release Technique, and tells you before adjusting. The adjustments are very smooth, and felt comfortable. Without his help, I wouldn't have been able to get back to normal. I had TOS for about 3 plus years. I was always healthy, but had developed over time repetitive overuse issues leading to TOS. I also had to make changes with what I was doing for work (office job), change my strength training routine, so my appts. were not the only piece of the puzzle. There was a ton of work on my end. My chiropractic appointments were a part of the plan, and I could not have done that on my own. I am forever grateful to Dr. A and his clinic for what they did to help me get back to- mountain biking, strength training, being able to work at a laptop for a length of time and not be in pain all day. I really like the general approach of this office in using alternative treatments before suggestions injection/surgery/etc. One thing that has also been a great experience in this office and with Dr. Graber is that "quitting" athletics or reducing my work was never suggested or encouraged. My coworker recommended this place to me and and I can't be more grateful for it. I messed up my back (SI joint and sciatic nerve - I had never heard of these words before) to the point where I had trouble bending to wash my hands, going to the restroom was painful, and I needed help getting dressed. Denver Chiropractic saw me within 1 day and continued to see me either daily or every other day to speed up the recovery process. Dr. Alexa Shepherd is so approachable, empathetic, knowledgeable, great at explaining the confusing, strong, an excellent communicator (she tells you every step ahead of time so you know exactly what to expect), and answers all questions thoroughly. I appreciate the exercise tips she gave me and recommendations around tools - each recommendation was exactly what I needed and was very effective with pain relief and improved mobility. I am amending my initial review because I was able to resolve some of the billing issues that were one of the sources of my frustration with Denver Chiropractic. I wasn't satisfied with the care that I was provided. I went in with neck and back pain, and the strategies the chiropractor deployed in my first few visits did not relieve that pain. I ultimately decided to seek care elsewhere, at the Denver Sports Recovery Center, which very quickly provided not only on-site care such as STIM that relieved my pain but also exercises that I could do at home that were ultimately the key to my recovery. I had some challenges with the accounting as well. I kept receiving a bill for the same charge, despite having mailed back a payment that was not processed, but was able to call and quickly resolve that today. The owner Dr. Artichoker reached out to me to discuss both my care and payment complaints, which demonstrated to me that the practice does care about the patient's recovery and experience. Deviated Septum= NASAL Specific care! My daughter was told that nothing could be done with/for her deviated septum/breathing several years ago an M.D. "we have to wait until she is 16 to do surgery after the facial structure has fully" formed. I've never been a fan of chiropractors. The thought of someone manipulating my spine and neck has always made me nervous. When I pinched a nerve in my neck last month, going to the chiropractor was not my first choice for treatment. I went to my doctor and was given muscle relaxers and pain killers. My doctor mentioned at the time that I may want to consider trying a chiropractor if the pain was too intense. I decided to wait and see how I responded to the meds. Even with the medication, I was unable to sleep because of the pain. I was desperate and decided to give the chiropractor a try. I chose Denver Chiropractic based on reviews and the fact that they accept my insurance. I was able to get in to see Dr Rider right away. He took the time to explain what was happening with my neck and the different options for treatment. I appreciated how upfront Dr. Rider was about what services were covered by insurance and the cost of services not covered by insurance. He was also upfront about how many visits I should anticipate for lasting results. I felt like I was able to make a fully informed decision on what was best for me. During that first appointment, Dr Rider gave me a few tips to relax and adjusted my neck. The relief was immediate. My pain decreased by 75% the first visit and went away completely by the third visit. I was able to stop pain meds and get some sleep. My experience with Dr. Rider has changed my opinion about chiropractors. I'm still a little uncomfortable with the idea of my neck being adjusted, but I trust Dr. Rider. I am a OCR (obstacle course racer) and trail runner. I was at a competition and fell off of a rig, a chiropractor out of Loveland recommended Denver Chiropractor. I researched them online and asked for an appointment. I received a call shortly after requesting an appointment. I have since been seeing Dr. Michael Macri. He has worked miracles on my hip and glute issues. I was so surprised at how long my appointments last, this is not a quick in and out service. He really takes the time to address all of my concerns and gives helpful advice on exercises to help in between appointments. After 3-4 appointments, I have now have had a personal record on a half marathon trail race, 5k race, and Spartan Dekafit Strong event. I have been going to Denver Chiropractic for about 2 years for a variety of pain management issues. Initially I went in for neck pain, which stemmed mostly from my office job (being at a desk all day) but also a big car accident I was in years ago. I went in about once per month to see Dr. Artichoker. He would use a variety of techniques such as graston, hands-on therapy & dry needling to work through my pain, and I would always feel so much better when I left. When I got pregnant last year, I started to visit Denver Chiropractic more frequently (about once per week) to work through my body aches. I saw Dr. Laura Graber, the prenatal specialist. She was amazing!! My SI joints were always out of alignment because of where my baby was sitting inside my body, but I would leave the office feeling 10 times better than when I arrived. I was recommended to Dr. Artichoker's office by others who had nothing but good things to say about their recoveries and treatment. After what seemed like a harmless muscle twinge during training, I started experiencing chronic muscle spasming and complete loss of strength in my right tricep and upper back. The issue was bad enough to significantly limit my training. I'd never seen a Chiropractor before in my life and was never one to look forward to letting someone crack my back. After the first adjustment and treatment, I felt tension released in my back that I didn't even notice was there. Two months of weekly visits with adjustments, active release techniques, and graston helped me regain most of the strength in my right arm. My experience at Denver Chiropractic has been great. Dr Hana Wadsworth has been helping me deal with an elbow injury and planter fasciitis. My elbow and feet have been in tremendous pain for over two years and I thought my only alternative was some type of surgery. Dr Wadsworth introduced me to shockwave therapy and I had one treatment on my elbow. I have been pain free for months now. I have also had 3 treatments for my planter fasciitis which was causing me the worst pain of my life.
